Y’all as a co-worker with India, she’s knows exactly how to handle every challenge thrown at her. She’s the realist female truck driver I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Teaching is a great thing, her respect and patience with this student was/is on point. She covered everything from the general basics to in-depth breaking things down further for understanding. Even off video a lot of use teachers park for the night with students present and hangout discuss/correct weaknesses n both sides so that as teachers we become stronger and efficient which makes better students in this industry. Mad love sis you got this…

You are to never kick a trainee off the truck. A part of being a trainer is to go through everything imaginable until they learn or until you've exhausted yourself to the point and then you tell the company she is un-trainable. Here's some advice for you when training: your trainee does very little maneuvering for a good couple weeks to a month until they get comfortable being in and driving the truck, then you slowly let them do a little more and more. Never put the trainee in a situation to back in a single spot between 2 trucks or a tough docking situation. Never be afraid to tell the trainee to stop and then you take over. Basically you have to approach the situation(s) as though you are trying to make your child understand something as in always talk super nice and show understanding of the situation but explain yourself in detail about the wrongs and rights and how things need/should/have to be. You are there to also verbally coach them and encourage them even if they arent driving or the truck is parked. You need to build their confidence over time.

Sir I don’t know what kind of training your giving but the student is only with me minimum 21 days max 35 .. if they don’t ever back in a tough situation they’ll never learn …. Any who thanks for watching 🤗

@@YOULOVEINDIA when I trained with a permit in 2004 I did 1 month OTR with an instructor, came back to the PRIME INC terminal and passed the driving and skills test to achieve my CDL. Then I had to train 100,000 miles (4 months) as a team with a trainer and I even stayed 2 extra months with my trainer because he liked me. I would never train for a company who is rushing the process. It should always be until the trainee thinks they are ready to go on their own. Prime has since downgraded the the amount of miles (i think 50k miles or 35k) a trainee needs to go on their own but I'm positive it's only a minimum and up to the discretion of the trainer/trainee.

@@YOULOVEINDIA You also have to take into consideration that when I trained with a trainer and went onto become a trainer? We didn't have automatics and had to learn and teach on a stick. We also didn't have a GPS and everything was Rand McNally MOTOR CARRIER ROAD ATLAS and written directions on the Qualcomm. Your job of training is already 50% or better easier right from the gate! That doesn't mean you still don't need to take baby steps with what you allow them to do. I highly doubt your company says they have to learn by xyz time or else. I would imagine that everything is discretionary.

I’ve never been a trainer but I’ve had some of the worst trainers. The first one yelled at me so much that I thought I was back in an abusive relationship. I could hear him yell in my sleep. The second one has poor hygiene and always tried to hit on me. It took for me to get a third trainer and I was only in his truck for 1 week and 5 days and I was given my own truck. To this day, we still converse.
I said all that to say, some people think they want to drive trucks until they literally get in a semi. Being that I was a teacher before coming out here, I’ve learned that some people don’t want to be taught or have this whole mindset of knowing stuff before they enter the trainer’s truck. Many of these people are saying you shouldn’t have put her out. I’ve never trained but I’ve been a student. Everyone is not a trucker and there are many people that just are not teachable. Keep going India🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I didn't want to wake my trainer up, so I got help by other drivers getting out of there. They helped me but also laughed at me, I think one was recording me too lol. The learning curve is huge starting out. Rookies will be rookies. Luckily my trainer had been training for 5 years. He was ready for the rookie shenanigans 🤣 😂. Training aint no joke. But me and my trainer got through it. He was from Florida too. Im 4 years in now and I would never train. Kudos to you for having the courage to deal with new drivers.

Myyy goodness!!! This is one of the main reasons I went with a company that did not require training. Don't get me wrong, you did a great job, but I just couldn't chance having to go through all the horror stories most drivers experience. More importantly, this lil space we have in these trucks is not enough for 2 grown folks that do not know one another's personality or way of living.... I'm a person that's willing to chance it on my own that way I'm forced to learn without someone teaching me thier way of doing things, and I love a challenge! Don't know how you all can do it, the money is not worth my peace of mind when we have to stay focused & safe out here. The frustration, aggravation, irritation, and all the other "ations" is too much to deal with while trying to stay positive & focus on safety as well. Chiiiile, I'll keep you in prayer truckin Queen. Ummmmm 🤔 Trainers Always Ask yourself "What Can I Do Differently"?! The Trainee is just that -> (A Trainee in Training). Soo, Breathe You Wore Those Shoes Before Finding Your Way... 💩 Normally hits the fan after week 1! Then the REAL WORK BEGINS... Always Remember to SIMPLIFY TECHNIQUES, APPROACH & TONE TO ACHIEVE THE WIN! The Magic Begins once your Trainee UNDERSTANDS how to PROPERLY ANGLE, SETUP & STEER... "Work the Steering Wheel" Slow MOTIONS to prevent OVER STEERING. Hey "New Driver's" the Concept is similar to backing your Car into any space. Angle, Angle, Angle -> 👀 Look at the Space Determine what Maneuver is needed to Setup & Safely Back Into the space. You can Angle with your Tandem, Back Tire, Bottom or Top corner of Trailer, Bumper? Etc., Understand how to maneuver the Trailer into the space! Use what makes SENSE to YOU! Square ANY part or the Trailer up with the SPACE. GET OUT AND LOOOOOOOOOK on BOTH sides fix any issues with pulling up if needed and repeat until you NAILED IT!.. TRAINERS MUST be able to Calmly, Simplify explain and demonstrate multiple techniques. Trainers must explain keeping the space your attempting to back into on the Driver's site side of truck.. How to hug the imaginary line during the SETUP. Teach the Trainee the Basic Science/Tricks of the Trade ex, Once the driver's door passes the spot swing out to the right follow up with a swing left until the back of your trailer has snaked or angled its tail towards the space That's the SETUP PROCESS... Always"GET OUT AND LOOOOOOOOOK" ONCE You the angle is right next step is the STEERING Process this is what seal's the deal to backing with ease... TRAINER'S Teach the Method behind the Madness.👍 COMOOON DRIVER'S!! The PERSON in the Seat is Not You.. RELAX... Find an EMPTY LOT and allow the Trainee Practice in PEACE. Before Hitting the Road. The company yard is a perfect place plenty of trailers packed in tight. COACH AND INSPIRE SIS❤️

I hope in the near future , the trucking companies start sending the students or new trainees to spend their nights in a hotel room after the training is complete every day and leave the trainers in the truck for more privacy and no arguments . In the next day the trainees have to come back to where the truck is parked and start training again for a new day , this way will be no two people sleeping in a single truck , but training in a single truck only . It's very hard for two people to sleep in a tiny space in a truck , because they don't gonna feel comfortable , and is gonna be some headaches for both sides . That's why the most training is not successful , because people need some comfort and privacy in their sleep zone so they can be ready for a good training every day without problems . The trucking companies can avoid this problem by putting a small budget for the new trainees to go every night to a hotel room during their four weeks training and meet their trainees every morning until the training time is over , this way it will be success and no nervousness. Thanks .

You seem like a good trainer. Some people have lack of patience. I've been driving tractor trailer for almost 6 years and I do the best I can not to screw up. The only training I would need is any time I switch jobs and need trained on how that company functions or possibly if I went back over the road and needed someone with me since sleepers can be slightly harder to back than a day cab.

After 4 days and they don’t listen and have a hard time understanding English that’s the result … I’m fully aware of how to do MY JOB OF TRAINING … seems like she should have came ready to learn instead of telling me what to do and worried about getting off the truck in 21 days instead of learning the job…. Furthermore the fuel island situation was a result of having a attitude and doing what u want to do

I’m sorry but in my 25 years of driving I still remember the frustration and anxiety that backing up a truck caused me. Especially when I was holding people up. It just seems from the small clip you showed us. You were telling her and not showing her. But as a ex trainer myself one of the reasons I don’t train anymore is because of people not wanting to listen and learn. As well as the patience level of the motoring public who seems to be in a race against time.

It seems as if her frustration came from being afraid. I suffered from that when I started driving transfer trucks in 2001. Luckily my trainer had patience with me and we got through it. I wish he was still alive to see me now as an owner operator and enjoying trucking. Also the other thing that may have made anxiety go up was you gave her a lot of info out the gate and some talking was too much like telling her the only difference in you and I is I have been driving for 4 years and you haven’t. I understand that may be your demeanor and you seem cool. Be safe trucker.
