Thank you so much, Travis! Do you have plans to analyze the work of Ernst Haas and Saul Leiter?

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve done Saul Leiter on the site, but not Ernst Haas. I’ll see what I can do👍

Hi, I really appreciate your work. Your channel has been a godsend. It is essential for me to enhance my vision of things and the perception of space and light in producing images. I wanted to ask you for your top 5 books to read absolutely (not only on composition). thank you always for your work, I wish you an excellent week!

Thanks I’m glad to hear that! I have a lot listed on the site, but here are a few faves:
Kenyon Cox “what is painting”, books by Harold Speed, Icarus deception, war of art, the power of now, psycho-cybernetics, flow, deep work

Will have to check out the show you referenced "The Colourful Mr Eggleston" , seems like an interesting fellow! The image @ 02:25 is oddly compelling...always fun when a seemingly normal/mundane image stops you and draws you in. Keep up the good work Tavis, and happy new year to you! 🥳

Thanks for posting this video. I have always wondered what it was I was missing by not trying more street photography. Having watched this, I think I now know what I'm missing - nothing. I found most of the images uninteresting - nothing more than snapshots taken in the streets. Your comments regarding composition and cropping reinforced my thoughts. As for 'negative space': quite a lot of it, but I didn't see it in the positive way that I think you meant.
