Hey, thanks for making this easy! But I have questions to get this right: I have a Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 with a Thunderbolt 4 Maple Ridge plugged in. USBMap didn't work for me, too. I got only some of my ports mapped correctly. Next Problem is that the USBToolbox MacOs script crashes by trying to get the Thunderbolt 4 ports, and with Windows it doesn't recognize them at all, so they can't be mapped as USB. It is interesting, that you didn't map your Titan Ridge. So these work only as Thunderbolts now? I thought I have to map USB 2 and USB 3 to get Thunderbolt work since it builds on it. So it is correct, when I map the USBs of the Thunderbolts, I have to count them in the 15 port limit, right? Maybe it is the better option to don't use the USB of my Maple Ridge. What do you think?

Yea Maple Ridge is not recommended to use unfortunately, choose either Alpine or Titan Ridge. Yes i could of mapped the titan Ridge as USB but chose to only use them as thunderbolt ports. Im not 100% sure if the thunderbolt ports, mapped as usb also, count towards the USB port limit because it seems to be a separate controller. I never tried it that way. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@GeekShhh I figured something out: Yes, the Gigabyte Maple Ridge got its own port controller onboard. That means it is not affected by the 15 port limit of MacOs, because it is seperated from the mainboard controller, but get its own 15 port limit(it only has 4 but somehow shows 26 like my mainboard in USBMap). That should be the same with every USB PCIe Addon card. Since USBToolBox keeps crashing, because of Maple Ridge, I now have used USBMap again with the new knowledge I learned from your video. I got my USBs mapped now and have 15 and 4 ports working fine. Thank you!
