@Steve Silvas Brand whoring. Look what Ford did to Lincoln and Mercury for years: slap a chromey waterfall grille on the front and connect the tail lights at the rear with a red reflector strip between them and BAM ! a Mercury or a Lincoln. GFYs Ford.
@Steve Silvas Though I am a Camaro guy at heart, the way I see it, this is not just a Ford/ Mustang defacing. This affects us all collectively as car lovers as a group. Competition between the Detroit big 3 makes us all great. THAT is what competition is all about. Slapping a Mustang Mach E badge on some half baked electric SUV cross over that other than some trim pieces, in NO WAY resembles the Mustang we all recognize. Even I have a favorite Mustang. Steve McQueen's green '68 fastback from the movie Bullitt. (and not one Mustang fan will argue the point with me. I loved that movie from the time I saw it when I was a kid and the bad guy drove the Charger... win, win for Mustang fans everywhere) Mustang fans need to let Ford know of your disapproval. I could live with a hybrid Mustang in it's true form but not with this electric porked out laughing stock. The anecdote "you can't put lipstick on a pig" keep popping into my mind... Peace out my Mustang friends and hang in there. Your GM and Mopar friends got your back on this one.
@@DaveGreg100 I had a 69 Cougar XR-7 w/ 351 Windsor that was an awesome car, I wish I still had it but someone flashed a lot of $100s in my face when I needed money. I'll regret selling that til I die.
@@scottricklaroque7428 Yeah, I can't let go. It's why I have had so few cars in my lifetime. That regret on the ones that did go is still great. Even for the most ordinary of cars.
As the proud owner of a 2014 Mustang GT premium I 100% agree with you about your number one pick. Ford is officially going the wrong direction with this iconic vehicle.

@@BoleDaPole False! Reality check, Constable. The Ford family controls the stock of Ford Motor. If the company went bankrupt and needed government bailout, the family would lose the company, Rest assured, that will never happen. In case you haven't noticed, Ford stock has been on a major move upwards this past week. New product intros are getting positive reviews. I don't personally agree with grafting the Mustang name on any other product, but that isn't the major story here. Biden&Company is about to mandate the end of gas engines unless we all step up to him and denounce it. Forget about the word Mustang, and let's try to keep what we really want....a powerful gas V8.

@@markmincey6384 now, the Mustang 2 is much worse, it was slow, ugly, probably blew up every 5 miles you drove it. at least the Mach E is kinda quick-ish and looks decent, they just gotta drop the "mustang" part of it.
Maybe not a true pony car mustang like all the others but in 1969 there was a Mustang E that was made to deliver the best fuel economy.maybe the Mach E gets the best mileage with electric.
I'm a Camaro guy so I should care less; "right?" WRONG! The resurgence of the Mustang brought the Camaro back from oblivion. Competition between the two have made them great. It even brought Chrysler back into the game and Dodge with the Hemi powered Challenger and the pony car has been reborn. Now we have a mid engine Corvette giving the super cars a run for their money. My point? It has been suggested that we are a dying breed with our high performance cars and our love for gas guzzling noisy speed. Is it true? In my opinion, not with the demand for our high performance beauties. But Ford is seemingly trying to attempt to bridge the gap with slapping a Mustang badge on some cross over electric SUV looking atrocity and by doing so is slapping the face of Mustang fans everywhere (yes my heart goes out to my Mustang brethren). This is a debauchery to the auto sport industry as a whole. This is our way of life. I love my '68 Camaro SS. But I also love my 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat. We have to band together and stand up to such tyranny. Social media folks. Facebook... Get the word out and save our favorite past time, sport and way of life. It affects ALL car lovers alike. It's not just a Ford thing friends.
I've always found it interesting how there has remained such great bias and even blind hatred between Camaro and Mustang owners. They are both good, fun cars. I prefer the Firebird over both many years but I like them all. They are American Pony cars done the American way. Why don't the people like both and dislike the rival foreign cars instead of hating each other? It's the same with Chevrolet vs Ford pickup trucks. Is one a total pile of garbage and the other a flawless indestructible masterpiece as so many claim? Yeah right. They have both made some good vehicles and blunders and they exist to make money for the companies.
@@digitalmagicAR one of the best comments i have ever read on here, period ,ive owned both brands and several others and i chuckle at the immaturity of some people bashing this and that, we are lucky that we have companies that build cars here for us,some have good years and some have bad, some car designs have had issues and some have been homeruns, its just life, its the way it is. Ive been a Mustang guy all my life but like i said i have also owned a Camaro and other Chevys but Mustangs happen to be my preference, the Chevys ive owned were as good and some better than some of the Fords ive had and i enjoyed them all, have fun, enjoy life,no time for that petty hatred.
Ford could've saved their breath and called it the "Ford Mach E" and that would be the end of it. Adding "Mustang" for something that isnt a Mustang is like adding salt into your cup of coffee. It never mixes.
While I've never been a fan of Mustangs, ( I'm a Mopar man), the Mach-E is a slap in the face of American Muscle cars! Ford wanting a market share of electric vehicles I understand, but why they put a Mustang badge to it is unconcianable...
@darren dorion, I completely agree. I stated that I was not much of a Mustang fan, but that is not actually true. '67- '73 Mustangs I do like, especialy the Mach 1s, and the Boss versions. As to the 4 door " Charger", no. Maybe a new Polara, but not a Charger. I see that as a slap in the face of Mopar's long standing history of powerful street machines of the past. That being said, I absolutely love the new Challengers! I had a '70 426 Hemi Challenger in high school, among others growing up in that era...
I hate to bust your bubble, but Ford Cars are not entirely American. They have several parts made with Chinese, German, and Mexican parts. The last time I had to fix a power window issue on a Ford Expedition, The power window motor was a Siemens. That is a German electric company, with a bad history of nazi affiliation. The same probably goes for GM and Chrysler (now FIAT CHRYSLER OF AMERICA)

Ford tried something like this before. When the plan to launch the new fwd "Mustang" was released, Mustang fans screamed bloody murder directly to Ford. The end result was a few more years of the Fox body and the release of the Ford Probe. For you younger guys who don't remember the Probe, let's just say it was not that memorable.
The "Mustang" Mach-E is the worst mistake ford has ever made. It'll just tarnish the Mustang legacy and disappoint all of us as Mustang fans. This thing should have never had the Mustang badge, this crossover doesn't deserve it and it'll never be as cool as the 2 door coupe we knew for a long time.
I know several people that think the 71-73 coupes look better than the FATbacks from the same time. Putting that car in the place where the new edge should have been on the list is laughable.
Calling that E-thing a Mustang is disgraceful. Ford is using the name for marketing and cheapening a legend...but as we saw in the countdown, it's not the first time Ford has severely watered down it's legend...
The Mustang II Mach I was a reasonable car for the time and was part of the best selling Mustangs ever. You could say they kept the Mustang viable until better times came.
If I recall correctly the Mustang II was a very good selling car. I no longer remember the numbers since I'm no longer into cars. Arrogant boasting Mustang owners would keep mouthing how the Mustang is better than anything on the planet so I'd say...Mustang II and they acted like it didn't exist, yet it did for several good selling years, including the KING Cobra. I'm glad Ford introduced the Mustang. It started the pony car category which soon brought us the Camaro, Firebird and Barracuda to add to the fun.
Yeah, and many of us car guys hate to admit it, but the v6 and 4 cylinder mustangs have kept mustang alive during fuel crises. I love a v8, but when gas was 5 dollars a gallon, it was very expensive to own.
@@angelgjr1999 Indeed. Not only during the fuel crisis but all along, the 6 (and 4) cyl Mustangs have been the life blood of the model. The people buying the hipo versions are not enough to sustain the car, but thankfully Mustang has always been very popular with females and they generally buy the bread and butter cars. So the car has endured. Males often think they need the high performance versions but those sales are not enough
LOL. A lot of Dodge guys curse the 4 door Charger. At least it is a "car" and technically similar in muscle car formula to the original Charger...mid size car with hipo engine except of course for the glaring fact it's 4 door! hahah.
@@gcbranger1189 I swapped out my engine for a 347 Stroker. With 450 horsepower at the crank it makes that car move pretty quickly. Those models aren't as heavy as everybody thinks they are.
@Julian Crooks I saw a 74 corvette 454 station wagon and I thought it was cool, it wasn't really a station wagon but just like a "what if" thing. They did the same kit for a 77 Trans am, that was nice too. But a brand new showroom one? No.
While I'm not a huge fan of the 94-98 Mustang, it started the whole retro look that the Mustang has now, and as universally hated as the Mustang II is, it's front end/suspension is loved by builders everywhere. They should just rename that Mustang Mach-E, and instead call it a Probe 2.0
You are one of the few that get it right about the Mustang II. Just for its front suspension, superior to EVERY Mustang that Ford ever produced (yes, including the various MacPherson strut setups over the years), the Mustang II should be lauded and mourned. Yes, it was unconscionably slow, but it was a product of its time. BTW, I like the Probe name idea.
I agree with some of the list, but I always thought the 82 GT was the best looking fox body. The problem with the later 87-93 "Areo" nose fox is that it looked kind of like a girls car to me. Especially the coupe. Seeing Vanilla Ice rolling around in one certainly didn't help its image in my mind either. The front of the car just looks too friendly and nice like a puppy dog or something lol. I still like them, but growing up and seeing them everywhere on the streets kinda made the look boring and tired to me. The older foxes were harder to come by especially the GTs so to me they were more interesting.
Agreed Retroman. I never liked the aeros as much as the foureyes. The soft lines do nothing for me, not to mention that horrible, late eighties Ford interior. The gauge cluster looked like the one in my dads 88 F150. Brutal. The 85 GT will always be my favorite, but the 82 is pretty cool too.
Back in 1988 , I bought a fox body at a police auction in Orlando . It took a month to fix but , when I got it on the street there wasn’t much that could keep up . I lived in Brooksville fla. highway 98 and 50 .

@@RichadTheLionHeat not to mention mustang ll was made to save mustang from dying in the seventies it had a purpose then they junked it in ‘79 when they could finally get back to nicer cars
This seems just idiotic, apparently not a fan of the mustang. Originally built as a lower priced, fun to drive sports car to satisfy the masses, the mustang has been a cherished American icon since it's beginning.
Nailed it with your #1 pick... They could have done some kind of electric, probably had to, but they were way off with any kind of generic cross over ...
Ok, I’m going to fix your list. If you feel you MUST include a fox body, then it can be the 80-81 models. These years were not available with the 5.0 engine and were the weakest performance years. I would lean towards the non-Cobra, notchbacks. Now every other 4-eyed fox (I’m talking GTs here) starting from 82-86 is an 80s legend. The 82 being the first year of the GT and 5.0 HO and each successive year getting more powerful and better sorted. These cars brought performance back to the US, and kicked off the second muscle car era that continues to this day. Plus, many fox fans actually prefer the cleaner, less blunt looking lines of the 4 eye cars vs. the 87 and up aero.
Have to agree. The 79 Pace car looks pretty nice and inspired the looks for the 80 and 81 Cobra and the 82 GT. Nothing wrong with the 4 eye fox bodies. I like the 85-86 GT the best. Looks cleaner than the 87-93 cars.
I had a 73 Mach 1 in 1980. My first car. I had looked at the earlier Mustangs but since I am tall I fit in the 73 a bit better. And the Mach 1 is a handsome car. A drunk driver took it out so after searching around I replaced it with a 73 convertible which I have owned for about 35 years. I do enjoy driving it. I swapped in a 4V Cleveland (4 bolt mains and all). And back around the turn of the century happened up a tripower manifold for it. (XE-151445).
Your too funny. I laughed! Totally agree. I would buy an Edsel, but never a E fir erase the design drawing! Fully concur with your list. I own original 60’s Mustangs. The Mustang E is terrible. I do like the Mustang II, great for my kids. Ford lost their “Ford Better Idea”. Their light bulb burned out👎🏻😬
The 71 to 73 Stan platform was designed around the new 429.Up to that point they were the most structurally sound mustangs made.Other than the roof kind they were just like a macho. And even with the big 429 you could actually work on it. You may not like the looks. But these are great cars. Very similar to the Australian xa. falcon.
When you said the number two worst was the mustang 2 I scratched my head for a minute, cause I couldn’t figure what mustang could be worse than that pile of crap. Then it dawned on me, and before the mustang 2 segment was over I knew where you were going. Agree 💯 with your assessment.
I totally agree with all your picks. My wife and I started with the 79 because it was the first car. Moved to 87” 73” fastback. 89 Gt. Now we have 07 “. California special Gt. Love the mustang.
Because everyone there is under 40, nobody thought to call the latest abomination the "LTD-E," did they? There's a legacy name way overdue to be brought back and what I've suggested has a pleasant ring to it. "Galaxy" is WAY too retro, "Fairmont" and/or "Futura", way too pretending-to-be-upscale or fake futuristic. "Maverick" would make a good SUV/Crossover name. Even "Torino" wouldn't have been awful. But don't ask consumers. We don't know anything.
Sorry, but I liked the '71 to '73 coupes. The Grande was the preferred version of course, the only way to get the luxury interior shown in the video. That fastback roof window was impossible to live with here in Colorado. Start with the optical distortion that was factory supplied, then add the early morning frosts and many snowstorms. It was absolutely impossible to defrost and the large cold glass made the interior cold all winter. A 2bbl Cleveland 351, much better air conditioner and heating system, better power steering made the coupes exactly what the Mustang was good at. That is a comfortable daily driver. The Grande made another notable contribution, they provided the luxury interiors that ended up in so many convertible restorations!! I drove several Grandes over the years, waiting for the Mustang II and the 4 cylinder ones to die off. Today I have a 2013 and a 2014 convertible, with the top up, they still have the coupe profile and the PRACTICAL rear window for a nice daily driver. Thanks for the video!!!
The Mustang II V8 was created and developed all the way in Mexico. Mexican engineers in charge considered unacceptable a Mustang without a V8. They saved the stallions from extinction. Since 74, all the Mustangs II made and sold in Mexico were genuine V8s.
My Dad bought a new 65 fastback when they first came out. Drove/street raced it for a couple of years before trading it in on a new 67 SS396 Chevelle. Kept that till he was forced to put on his 4th set of rear tires and traded for a white, plain-Jane 69 Musdonkey fastback with an anemic 351W and hideous red interior for Mom while he went to Vietnam for his 3rd tour. When he got home, Dad went for the new 70 Mach I with both spoilers, shaker and window slats. This 351C seemed to have a helluva lot more balls and was able to actually spin the tires on rough pavement. Dad blew the engine on a quick trip to Virginia just to see how fast it would scoot on the interstate. Apparently 137 was the number just before the magic smoke escaped from the tailpipes (destroyed the rear main bearing). His final mustang was a 66 fastback with a 289 2v, 3-spd that he bought for me as a high school graduation present in 1974 from a Colonel who lived across the street from us in Germany. The Colonel had purchased the car new and was underneath it EVERY Saturday working or polishing something No power anything but one fun go kart to play and park in :)
Terrible choice those 94-98 mustangs have some of the best body lines ever made. I still own my 98 GT no problems besides a radiator replacement alternator and rear main seal had to be redone going strong. I love those 94-98’s and that’s coming from a 14 GT owner
Badge engineering at it's worst. At least the Buick Regal Somerset and Toyota Camry Solara only used those names as a bridge, dropping the un-related legacy name once the model was established. This one has nowhere to go.
I have worked on them all and owned some of these. Everyone of these generations have good and bad drivetrains so it mostly leaves the looks which is up to individual tastes. (I do consider the fox's the cheapest of them all, what a junker with those doors). There was nothing wrong with the II's. They were not a pinto. The pinto had some engine weaknesses which nearly all econo cars had and they beat the vega and even a lot of the foreign competition at the time. The gas tank deal is a rare problem. They had a great chassis, rack and pinion and a v8 rearend was available. They fit a small block v8 easily although header room was pretty tight.
my first car was a 74 mustang 2 hatch back. it had the 4 cyl and 4 speed on the floor with bucket seats and mag wheels, it was grey with red race stripes and i loved that car i wish i still hat it. it also had the lovers over the back glass
Nothing like their legendary predecessors, but the Mustang II had its place. It was the 70s afterall, I still think its body styling was edgy and the King Cobra package was cool...for the 70s. Mustang fell apart in the early 80s.
The Mustang II was probably one of the best designed although it had extreme lack of power. They had an extremely strong chassis and very adequate suspension. When re-powered, these are a real blast to drive. I've owned all generations and the only one I liked more is S550.
Bravo! No arguments here. When I heard about the Mach E I first thought it was only a prototype name idea and not the final product. Found out I was wrong and I nearly exploded. The Mustang created a genre of sport cars, literally. I mean, it's a historical monument. Okay, sporty SUV's are kind of the rage right now. Jury is still out on how much an electric version can pull it off, but EVERYBODY is making them already (electric or not). The Mach E looks cool and competent and if they would've stopped with the Mach E name without Mustang who can really argue? I beg FORD to do like they did with the 500 and rebage it Taurus after the fact. Pony cars are two door personal sport cars - rear wheel drive, front engine. They were never meant to be everyone's car - or go everywhere. FORD this is blasphemous. Turn in your blue oval.
Hey There!!!! I don't know how I stumbled across your video channel but I am glad that I did. After having reviewed your video -- twice -- I have 2 agree with your Mustang choices. I am an old "gearhead" and back in 1978 - 1981, there were at least 4 of us -- neighbors on the same street and around that block that owned a Mustang -- in high school -- while working @ the mall -- so we witness 1st hand , the evolution of the Mustang. My mother purchased a low mileage, slightly used, 1967 Mustang with an automatic -- coupe with a "289" v - 8 -- a mild performance carb -- medium (turtle) green exterior with black vinyl (HOT as he** during the summer) interior. 1 - driver side remote mirror -- A/C (4 the most part) power steering and a non tilt steering wheel. She purchased the vehicle from 1 of her older "country cousin" who owned his own gas station. My older brother was handed the keys 2 him in 1979 -- the year of his graduating from high school. I thought that the Mustang was pretty tame and slow until one evening, after my mother got off of work, 1 of her co - workers' gave her a ride home. This female co - worker had a red, 1965, "asthmatic" six cylinder Mustang with black interior, 1 driver's side, manual operated outside mirror and "push on" spinner hubcaps. A/C -- I can't remember but the vehicle was equipped with an automatic transmission. It was bland but hey -- it was reliable transportation. My father was a weekend golfer and on occasion he and 1 of his "homeboy's" from Galveston would compete in amateur tournaments. 1 weekend my father had to work the evening/night (I'm not sure which) shift and was not able 2 participate in a tournament that was being held down in Galveston, TX. Mr. Ward, my fathers golf partner, registered for the male "singles" as opposed 2 signing up 4 the "men's couple" as was the norm when he paired with my father. That weekend Mr. Ward won all of his rounds. The tournament played for 2 weekends down on the island and at the end of the tournament -- Mr. Ward was victorious. He had won a 1979 Ford Mustang hatchback. That vehicle was given 2 his 2nd daughter who, by the way, was heading 2 college that same year. I never saw that vehicle but from the way that my father described it, it would definitely get Mr. Ward's daughter through school and it did. That same year Mustang, the 1979, one of my brother's class mate had worked all summer at the local savings and loan and through his employer, was able 2 save enough 4 a down payment on a 1979 Ford Mustang GT -- automatic -- equipped with T - Tops and speed!!! That car took him through 4 years of school at the local college. He decided not 2 go off 2 school citing that after he graduated college he would be assigned an entry level management position at the savings and loan bank. Now it was my turn. I was working at the mall and 1 of my class mate who also lived on my street, he 2 had a summer job. When it was time for our class 2 return 2 school from summer vacation, my classmate/neighbor had saved up 2 purchase a red, 1972 Ford Mustang Grande -- red exterior with red interior and a white vinyl top -- of course automatic transmission. Me, I had saved my money 4 a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am. My parents had other plans. Oh, I got a GM vehicle alright -- it was a (sigh of disappointment) a 1980 P*O*S Buick Skylark Limited Coupe -- fabric/velour seats -- 2.8 V - 6 -- 173 c.i. -- front wheel drive -- half vinyl top -- A/C -- AM/FM Delco radio -- push on hubcaps and whitewalls!!! No sir -- not what I had saved up 4 -- and No sir -- NOT a babe/chick magnet!!!! It's not that I was ungrateful -- it's that the vehicle that I had saved up 4 -- at my age -- on my parent's insurance -- No way -- and my parents were clear about that. This was the 1st year of the front wheel drive for this Buick. The previous model year Buick was equipped with rear wheel drive. Remember the Mustang that my brother was rolling around in -- I offered 2 allow him 2 break in my "new ride" in exchange 4 the '67 Mustang UNTIL I graduated high school!!!! No dice. Later, down the line, karma came knocking. Before I graduated high school, on a rain slick day, while returning from his job, my brother avoided hitting a stray mutt with the Mustang and introduced the Mustang 2 a ditch and a tree. Having hitting the ditch 1st -- it slowed down the impact of the Mustang hitting the tree. Repairable damage was done 2 the front end of the Mustang but now my brother was on foot. It turns out, that the only reason that he was on that rain slick poorly lit road -- on that side of town -- he was pursuing a "skirt." The result of that accident had me, 4 a while, driving my brother around. According 2 my parents, it was something 2 do about "family." After the Mustang was repaired, my parents took my brother 2 an Oldsmobile dealership. There, off of the used car lot, they purchased 4 him, a pale green exterior, white interior, manual steering wheel, manual brakes, A/C, 1 outside (driver's side) manual mirror, automatic, 1974 Datsun (entry level) B210. Man, my P*O*S Buick looked nice parked next 2 that "import". As for the Mustang, the last time that the state of Texas inspected that vehicle, it was in 1996. By then, my mother had the vehicle repainted that "electric blue" paint color that is popular on those Subaru WRX's -- why that color -- I do not know. The vehicle is underneath a tandem carport -- uncovered -- under 2 inches (or more) of dust and dirt. All 4 tires are flat and if you were 2 take off your shoes and make an attempt 2 slide those shoes underneath the trunk of the car -- no can do. The gas tank is only inches from touching the slab of the carport. Apparently my mom just gave up on the vehicle and it is in such disarray that any effort at attempting 2 restore the vehicle would not be cost effective. There are no shortages of decent 1967 - 1968 Ford Mustang's. Now if the vehicle was say, a 1966 - 1968 Fastback, then I would have removed the vehicle from it's resting spot long ago. This past (20twenty) Juneteenth, I was at my folks place and the classmate/neighbor who owned the Mustang Grande in high school, it seems that every other week, he maintains his parent's yard. In exchange 4 keeping his 1966, red exterior, black interior, black convertible top, automatic, dual trumpet exhaust, GT trim package Mustang, in his parent's garage. I showed him cellphone photo's of my mother's Mustang and despite the horrible shape that it is in -- he might be -- when the time is right -- interested in purchasing the vehicle "as is -- where is." When I purchased my 1st Mustang back in 2007, there was a guy 40 miles north of my home, who had a "Charlie's (1977 Mustang II) Angels" Mustang that looked as though it came directly from the television series. But his asking price -- for a 4 cylinder coupe -- grey 2 door coupe with blue vinyl interior and the rims that the car had on appeared 2 have been sourced from a 1977 Ford Mustang Mach I. I instead purchased a 2007 Ford Mustang convertible with the GT appearance/performance package. It was a certified/pre - owned vehicle which simply means I did not have an option 2 purchase a 5 - speed. My 2nd Mustang purchase was the 2014 Shelby Cobra Convertible with a six - speed manual and all of the added options. Sure the Mustang has changed -- changed -- changed and eventually evolved 2 what it is today. Notice all of the after market tuners for the Mustang - Foose, Shelby and Saleen -- which buy the way, If I were able 2 locate a low mileage, convertible, factory direct - non - molested, triple black, convertible, 1988 Saleen Mustang, I would trade my 2007 convertible for the Saleen -- in a heartbeat!! With the fall and the rise of the Mustang, 1 thing that you can say about the Mustang -- it never went away. Unlike the Camaro, Challenger, the short lived (Australian) GTO, Viper, Supra, NSX -- all of which at 1 point have gone away and come back -- some. The Vette and the Mustang both though differ in their approach but both have remained -- through good and or bad times during their lifetime.

This was an attempt by car makers to comply with tougher emissions standards before they had any real technology to do so. Some engines were simply de-tuned too much, others had too much power-robbing emissions stuff bolted to them. They were all engines built without the emissions engineering designed into them. That didn't really start on a large scale until the '80s.

@Steve Silvas Though I am a Camaro guy at heart, the way I see it, this is not just a Ford/ Mustang defacing. This affects us all collectively as car lovers as a group.
The Mach-E is a disposable appliance.
Referring to it as a "appliance" is very fitting.
Thanks for sharing.
@@raysullenberger5626 Don't forget "disposable"! Lol.
@@hipcat13 Yes Sir, very true. I wonder if there biodegradable🤔😁
The '-E" stands for Edsel... Ford historically BLOWS IT again... 🙄
Very similar to the Australian xa. falcon.
The 429 was only available on the 1971 Mustang's, they weren't available on the 1972-73 Mustang's.
But like is said the platform of a 71 72 73 Stan was designed around the new big moter. 429.
What an awesome surprise ending. You couldn't be more right sir even though it had seemingly unbeatable competition for that spot. Well done!!!
except for the sn95... there is something about that sn95 mustang that I really like.
a moment of silence please........the Mustang just died
Because everyone there is under 40, nobody thought to call the latest abomination the "LTD-E," did they? There's a legacy name way overdue to be brought back and what I've suggested has a pleasant ring to it. "Galaxy" is WAY too retro, "Fairmont" and/or "Futura", way too pretending-to-be-upscale or fake futuristic. "Maverick" would make a good SUV/Crossover name. Even "Torino" wouldn't have been awful. But don't ask consumers. We don't know anything.
Do a top five best mustangs next! Also, loved the video!
Wish Granted
@@Matty_Malice I loved the video too your #1 choice is not controversial because it’s not a mustang it’s not even made for enthusiasts
I respect the fuck out of when he said "Great" and placed a boss 429 pic up. Kudos my guy
I agree, the "Mach -e" is a disgusting electric SUV that doesn't deserve the mustang name
They can revoke the Mustang badge and just call this tree hugger creation Mach E.
The Mustang II V8 was created and developed all the way in Mexico. Mexican engineers in charge considered unacceptable a Mustang without a V8. They saved the stallions from extinction. Since 74, all the Mustangs II made and sold in Mexico were genuine V8s.
Thats awesome I had no idea. It sounds like that story deserves its own video
Wondering what could possibly be #1 after the ones listed already?
Mach E.
Yep, that would do it. Good pick!
The Mach E isn't even a Mustang. I can't believe they put those badges on it.
You're right on point with your #1 pick, that ugly travesty of a car is electricity powered garbage....
Terrible choice those 94-98 mustangs have some of the best body lines ever made. I still own my 98 GT no problems besides a radiator replacement alternator and rear main seal had to be redone going strong. I love those 94-98’s and that’s coming from a 14 GT owner
Can't deny its a underwhelming car for what its supposed to be.
Liking my 95gt with the last of the old days 5.0HO
@@markwallis913 it’s surely underpowered is my only complaint on the car
It’s #5. That’s where it belongs. #6 would be the 05-09.
Badge engineering at it's worst. At least the Buick Regal Somerset and Toyota Camry Solara only used those names as a bridge, dropping the un-related legacy name once the model was established. This one has nowhere to go.
love or hate the 74-78 mustang 2 to me these cars are classic especially the cobra version to me they went fast enough!
Right, had a black 76 cobra . Classic
Why is everyone shitting on the Mach E if there actually WAS a Mustang Station Wagon in the past?

This was an attempt by car makers to comply with tougher emissions standards before they had any real technology to do so. Some engines were simply de-tuned too much, others had too much power-robbing emissions stuff bolted to them. They were all engines built without the emissions engineering designed into them. That didn't really start on a large scale until the '80s.
The "FARAH" MUSTANG COBRA in Charlie's Angel's was cool looking

For some reason my mind went straight to the Star Trek "Maquis" resistance group when you introduced the last clip for the number one slot. That said, I vividly remember the Mustang Grande coupe. My roommate bought a used one from an acquaintance of ours and at the time I remember thinking how I wasn't familiar with this particular model and how odd the back window looked.
Agree on the Mach-E - never heard of that Tesla X clone. My mother had a Fox body 2 door 4 cal automatic coupe - was a POS...I drive it once and never wanted to drive it again. Good video...
I owned a 73 Mustang Coupe and loved it. It had a 351 Cleveland in it that I beefed up and it rocked. Out of all the cars I've owned, it would either be the 73 Coupe or my 72 Dodge Challenger that I'd want back. And I've owned some pretty cool cars.
Are you crazy ‘79-‘86 is on that list? Fox body Mustangs were some of the coolest cars ever. I’ll take a 1986 5.0 coupe in silver just like the one in the 1986 factory sales brochure. Totally agree on the Mach-E that thing is a Ford Edge and should’ve been called the Edge-E. Just my 2 cents.
Absolutely... That was absolutely asinine of the author to say that the 87-93 improved the design drastically... The 79 to 86 are just fine.
