Thanks for visiting UIC. You saw a lot of the beautiful East Campus. It's pretty dead in the Summer but it's full of students now. If your are around in the summer, the Student Rec Centers are uncrowded. That can be a real bonus. Also, if you come by again, stop in Science & Engineering South. That's where I work. It houses Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth & Enviromental Science. On Third Floor, we have a beautiful Math & Science Learning Center with tutoring on demand. The College of Nursing itself is on the Westside across Ashland. Don't worry there are shuttle buses + CTA 157. In between is Taylor Street (Little Italy) with all kinds of resturants and the famous Mario's Italian Lemonaid open late. Great neighbor! I've lived here 24 years now by Taylor & Loomis. Hope you come to UIC! Don't forget to comparre costs. I only finished paying off my student loans from the University of Wisconsin from the 1980s five years ago when I was 54 years old! With a good Nursing degree, it may be easier, but student debt is always painful. Good video!
Thank you so much for watching! I knew there was more to the campus but I had no idea where to start. We may schedule another tour and make sure we have a guide this time because it looks like we missed so much!
Why didn’t you guys have a scheduled tour? UIC does have guided tours…unless they have recently stopped them. Outside of the tour situation, your daughter will get a GREAT education! UIC is a World Class academic institution. UIC ‘95
Hello, thank you for watching. When we signed up for all of the campus tours and presentations they did let us know that depending on staffing conditions, the tour may be student- or self-guided. This was the first one that was actually self guided, the others were student led. We didn’t know it was self guided until after the presentation. They gave everyone a map of the entire campus which was helpful but I think a student led tour would have been better for us because we would have gotten to hear the students experience and know a little more about the school from a students perspective. Overall we loved the diversity of the school and the resources they are offering to ensure she receives a great education.
I LOVE THIS FOR HER....I FEEL EXCITED FOR YALL...SO MUCH FOR HER.
Thank you ❤️ It has truly been an exciting adventure!
So exciting!!!

@@mrsjomyThe standard guided tours only go through the east campus. You will have to make your own way to the west campus.
