Thanks for the video. I have a question though... ARC measured with your laptop and microphone, then provided you with an equalization and level curve based on calculations, with a PROJECTED correction,which you uploaded to the processor... Do you have a way of running the same sweep again with the correction applied to the processor to see what the actual result is in your room through the microphone? I think that would be a very important piece of data to have before you actually start trying to customize it.

Hope you like it a lot. The ARC recommends actually only having a foot or 2 between measurement spots and to raise and lower during. Kind of an x or box around main spot.

Very helpful. Could you test your AVM70 with Roon? I don't know if it's already compatible or if it needs a firmware update. How many mic positions have you sampled ? It would be nice to know if the Anthem dsp uses linear filters to avoid phase issues.
What I don't understand: The Anthem MRX 740 has those four profiles (1-4). But using the ARC Software, I cannot choose what "slot" or Profile I want to upload my settings. So it will immer upload/overwrite my 1st profile?

What I still don't understand is how to save each profile. Let's say I make a correction 5.1 and then profile only 2.0 - how can I choose where to save in my MRX 740?
My MRX540 will not connect with my laptop via wifi. Where do I change the IP address on the 540? Can I also just connect both the 540 and laptop with ethernet cables so they see each other?
Can you use an iMac to connect the mike to when doing this room correction.My iMac is portable enough that I can use it in living room for calibration. thanks

If I always sit in the same exact spot would I then only do one measurement in my spot or would it be better to still do multiple measurements? The way my room is I have my couch right up against the back wall and I sit in the middle seat of the couch always.
Well with anthem specifically you have no choice but to do 5. But it'd benefit regardless just so you get an even response and the system gets a good idea of distance and phase, delays, speaker size, etc
Hello. I have another question. Can you make a video on how to download and get the arc menu to work on a tablet/computer? I’m Having trouble getting mine to work. When I got in touch with Anthem, they said to put my routing number in my browser. Now, I already have it where as though my tablet (Samsung) sees the Anthem (device). I just can’t get to where it displays the menu that you have in this video. Thank you for your help because you have answered questions for me before and I appreciate it.
Kpaceguy , I’ve done that. I see all of that. I see the google home page, where I get the circle that I can adjust the volume with. How do I get to where I can display that ARC page. That’s the problem I’m having.

Get yourself another profile set up for 2 channel music + sub , arc gets the sub integrated so well you that owe it to yourself to at least try😉. Used to run it the same as you but not anymore.
I agree. I use ‘Pure Audio’ and ‘Stereo’ interchangeably depending on the type of music i’m listening to. Anything with too much bass, I select Stereo so the sub can deal with those low frequencies and take the load off my AV Receiver and speakers. Especially at high volumes. For normal tracks I then use Pure Audio, but with medium to low volumes as my room is not treated. So yeah man, I think K-Pace must try create that profile and try it out... he could be in for a nasty surprise.😄

It's a bit sad that in 2021, you cant just place the speakers manually in that 3D room illustration. I'm not really happy with the height choices. It would, for instance, be nice with a height center speaker.

I'd like to be more creative with my speaker placement due to space constraints, and let the machine compensate in a more accurate way than would be possible with static speaker placement options.

Mine will calibrate 2 of them and they sound very very integrated with the rest of the system. First time in my career I've ever been happy with the levels that were set and the quality of bass
There is a mobile app you can use a USB adapter to your phones charger port but yes. Anthem assumes if you have a product of this nature you'll have a laptop or smartphone too

There isn't a direct button for it or at least haven't found it. But pure direct turns off room correction too so I'm curious to play around and see what I can do
@@lesmatthews459 - That assumes that Anthem didn't design their signal path with Pure Direct as a standard. There are no DSP settings or room modes on the AVR .. Stating what you have assumes it's not already direct. ...and to my knowledge, it very likely is built that way - adding ARC settings only deals with "in room response" - and you can see from the charts.. the room makes all speakers perform differently from the signal.
You can make multiple inputs. Each input can be for the same source. One of them can have ARC on the other ARC off without any processing. For 2 channel alot listener's preference is ARC off

You can do one measurement and use it for any profile. Just turn on or off the speakers you want to use.

The AVM60 is the best processor/receiver I've owned over 20 years. Hoping this will be just as good but with 15 channels instead of 11.

I don't think it's very necessary unless mini dsp has a few extra features arc doesn't
Just curious if your speaker levels were the same after you ran ARC. When I ran ARC it maxed out all my levels and was loud AF!
It put most of mine at +6.5 which I still think is quite loud

With marantz Audyssy, it ask to adjust subwoofer volume to 75 db. Does Anthem Arc ask to adjust sub volume at certain level?
No. It's just can't be too loud

Also this is a 5.2 setup. No atmos. Left, center, right, side surrounds, and 2 subwoofers

Go to the Google home app and at the very bottom of the page is the correct ip address to enter in your browser

I thought there was an ARC issue per Spec of Tech, did they fix it???
There is an update out. At the time of his review the anthem website couldn't detect the receiver or processor. Its all good now

Arc is free but only connects to arc compatible devices. So anthem or paradigm
