    50% for side glass, 70% for
    Back glasses is the norm.
    Here % means visibility from
    out side

    • @nitinkumar29
      @nitinkumar29 Год назад +7

      Any film of any percentage is illegal in India and only sun shade from the manufacturers are allowed. 70% for front/rear windshield and 50% on side window rule is not valid for after market films and it apply to car manufacturers and for the inbuild glasses that means, they will manufacture with that percentage tint so it is inbuilt tint. All other claims from any company or scam is fraud and misguiding.

      @@NallepillyAgraharam I agree with @nitinkumar29. He is spot on! Till date, sticking any external film of any % of transparency is strictly prohibited. I read through the Supreme Court responses to several petitions filed with regards to this. So bottomline, no film is allowed. On 4 doors and in front, back windshields.

    • @balajig1261
      @balajig1261 9 месяцев назад

      @@nitinkumar29 Spot on what you said. However, these aftermarket they are discussing is for cars without any tint, not every manufacturer provides tint in the car glasses, mostly that comes to more expensive cars. However, there could be situation when someone did not thought while buying the car initially and then due to family and kids wanted to install one, then can go for these aftermarket film with up to 50% visibility. Police will not generally disturb if it 70% visibility. 50% is borderline, as it depends on brand to brand - some brand it will be dark and some wont. So, if any traffic police stops anyone and feels 50% is darker then has to be removed and cannot argue with police, it is their call.

    • @nitinkumar29
      @nitinkumar29 9 месяцев назад

      @@balajig1261 Unfortunately, there are regions where no films on the glasses are allowed in any situation. I'm from North, from Delhi and most of the part up to Punjab that I know does not tolerate films below 75% because that is not dark enough but if they find that your glasses have films on it (even 75% or above), they will remove it on the spot and fine you a hefty penalty if they are in bad mood or there is some checking going on, while in some city like Chandigarh, the chances of fine is close to 100%. Some cops use machine to detect the film, while some even go to use their fingernails. Even shades with net from the car manufactures on the rear glass is absolutely no. So it is risky affair here, the tolerable are shades with net on both sides and driver side must have half that come from some manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, I heard a case of Kia where police fined the guy.

    Thanks for the clarity of info. Can you make similar video for headlight modification? Is it legal and what kind of source is legal? As the headlight provided by OEM is having less power and the visibility is less while driving at night in highways.thanks.

    Anti-social activity is a silly reason to ban sunfilm , you can also use curtains to do same activity which is still legal, also can you use the same reason to ban helmets, and masks?
