    Nigeria is a big and massive country. This is what people from other African countries do not know until they visit, explore and experience it themselves. Nigeria is the Giant of Africa for a reason. I beat my chest to say that Nigeria has more urbanised territories than any other African country. These urbanised towns are more than 100 in addition to the four best known major cities of Abuja, Lagos, Kano and Port Harcourt. Each of the 36 states has a capital city and one or two other major towns in it. To explore and see the components of just one state will take you a full day as a RUclipsr or tourist. As you always say "It is what it is".🇳🇬💯😀😀

      @@tojusote4896actually it was Northern Cameroon which came under British Trusteeship mandate after Germany’s defeat in World War I that was administered as part of Nigeria. The French part was not. After independence a referendum was organized in 1961 to determine whether or not the people would remain as part of Nigeria or rejoin Cameroon.
      Northern Cameroon (which formed part of today’s Borno, Adamawa and Taraba states) elected to remain part of Nigeria while southern Cameroon chose to join French Cameroon in a federation (which Late President Ahmadou Ahidjo subsequently abolished in 1972 and made Cameroon a unitary state).
      The Ambazonia conflict in Cameroon has its foundation in that history.

    I have also been to many West African countries working or volunteering... But, when I see these so called foreigners badmouthing Nigeria, and some naive Nigerians supporting them. I truly feel pity for them all.
    Whoever that coined this saying, "traveling is education" is truly wise.
    Some of these African countries cannot drag shoulders with Sokoto state in Nigeria, which is even one of the least developing states in Nigeria.

    I have been living in Nigeria Lagos to be precise for over 50yrs as a Nigerian but I have only visited states like, OYO, Osun not inside Osun town anyway, Ondo Akure, Ekiti, Kogi and Enugu during my school days excursion to Okpara and Enyema underground coal mines. I have never even step my foot in places like Abuja, kaduna, kano, sokoto, Maiduguri, Bauchi, Taraba, Bayelsa, port harcourt just to mention but few. Nigeria too big wallahi

    This Ajim is so intelligent. He nailed it 💯. The problem with most Nigerians is that they have lived all their lives in the part of the country where they were born, myself included. So our perception of Nigeria is limited to our local area. This is why you here some crazy people saying Accra is more beautiful than Nigeria. In reality, what they're saying is that Accra is more beautiful than their local cities because they have no experience of other parts of Nigeria. When Jarvis the AI girl entered Ghana, she was disappointed because her experience of where she lived in Nigeria was better than what Ghana had to offer.
    I think as a country we need find a way to promote local tourism. We need to make it cheap and affordable so that our people can get to visit places around the country and get a better sense of what Nigeria is.
    Thanks Ajim for the awakening. ❤❤❤

    You have spoken well about Nigeria. It's a big country with great potentials. Even though people may complain because they are citizens of the country and want more but a whole lot have been achieved in Nigeria. I'm amazed at the progress the country have made and I'm proud despite obvious challenges. Leadership can be better so that the country with meet our expectations.

      @@Silver-l5x I am from Enugu state but I grew up in Niger state Mokwa specifically I didn't realise how massive Niger state is until I moved to lagos then gained admission in one the federal universities in the east and then began to travel round the country. I must admit that most northern states have vast land. Which is why the security agencies are finding it difficult to secure the area.

    Get ready sha, because from Welcome to Taraba, to the state capital is 4 hours, then from there to Gembu is about 9 hours. Which means that you could travel for 12 to 13 hours within one state, and it's only the 3rd largest state.

    I have said this before and I will say it again. It has be proven that the Mercator projection map of the world wrongly represents the actual sizes of continents and countries. The earth is spherical in shape and therefore makes the continent and countries close to the equator shrink and look small while those that are further away from the equator looks bigger. If you actually turn the earth into a two dimensional flat surface, you will realize that the countries and continent close to the equator are actually twice or more as big while the ones far from the equator are smaller in its actual sense. Which means Africa is way bigger than represented and that is which it will take you 5 and a half hours to travel from Nigeria to UK and 6 hour to travel from Nigeria to South Africa in same continent. That been said, countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, ivory coast, Benin republic etc are twice or more as big as they are being represented cos they are closer to the equator while those countries at the northern and southern part of Africa and beyondbeyond are actually smaller than their actual representation. This was the tactice by the colonial masters to make Africa look and feel small while in the real sense, America, China, Europe, Canada and most carebean countries can comfortably fit into Africa with some space to spare. This has been proven. Growing up, I was made to understand that a state in America is about the size or even bigger than Nigeria. That is a lie from the pit of hell. You can research on what I have just told you.

    • @enod9746
      @enod9746 2 месяца назад +3

      You are right. The Mercator projection was developed in 1569 and its use in depicting the map of the world and indeed Africa has long been disproven as it was a politically-motivated tool that made Africa small enough to be conquerable by the European powers when they were scrambling for Africa. Africa's true size will contain the US, China, India, the Iberian peninsula, all of Western and Eastern Europe, Mexico and Japan.
