This all makes a lot of sense in a time line perspective. You launch 2 & 3 to catch people to be prepared and 4 to complete smash the fanbase along side some merch. I hope that metroid 6 will be coming sooner than later 👀
@@rubemartur8239 oh duh, thanks. I thought they were just using the shortened moniker “Metroid’ for “Metroid Prime” in that context and had some Nintendo-insider news about “Metroid Prime 5” 👀
It’s almost two years since Prime Remastered was released. I think the impressive reception for that game caused Nintendo to go back to the drawing board when it came to the “port 2 and 3, don’t remaster” speculation. I fully expect both games to get the remaster treatment after all this time-and honestly, they both deserve it.
Prediction: prime 2&3 are announced at tga for February and also a short trailer for prime 4 with a summer 2025 release window Also, happy thanksgiving!
It would be cool if they show a trailer for 4 at the game awards, and shadow drop 2, announcing 3 for Feb and 4 for April. The art book arriving later would allow for budgeting. If Switch 2 releases early March with a new Mario, and Xenoblade X is shown as enhanced for the new console, that would be a pretty sweet launch schedule. Mario Kart 9 could arrive also in May. Something for everyone!
I can't see Nintendo/Retro Studios not giving Prime 2 the same quality as Prime 1. Both of them are about quality. Retro doesn't hold back. Prime 2 uses the same assets as Prime 1, so they have the improved ones from Prime 1. There is no reason for Prime 2 NOT to be on par with Prime 1 Remastered. As for Prime 3, as it's a Wii game, they could get away with giving it the Skyward Sword HD treatment. That's what I'm sticking with. I think both will be separate releases. I don't want a double pack. For being a Nintendo physical collector, I want all four Primes with their own box. Lastly, again I will say Prime 4 wont be cross gen.
@@TheAlex3712 Bet my life on it being Switch 1 only. Nintendo hates doing cross gen, Retro has never done it before and all logical points show there is no reason to do so.
I agree with most of what you’re saying, but this will probably be cross gen so that Nintendo can show off the enhanced backwards compatibility if it’s available for the new Switch (the enhanced part).
@@ItApproaches Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild enters the chat. Nintendo doesn't hate cross gen at all, especially when it comes to a new console release.
@@TheAlex3712 I get so darn tired of explaining the most obvious logical facts to dumb humans.....TP and BOTW ARE NOT THE SAME SITUATION AT ALL. Both happened cause the former system FAILED and had a small userbase. So they didn't want to lose all that effort on their big franchise, ZELDA. So they gave it a second run. The games were IDENTICLE on both systems for the most part. TP got a Wii version cause the Wii was a new control style, MOTION CONTROLS. So they had to swap the sword to Link's right hand cause most of the world is right handed. They also had to mirror the entire game world. With BOTW again the Wii U FAILED, and the Switch was NOT backwards compatible with Wii U games. So again, a second version was needed to be made to give it a fair shot at making it's money back. Metroid is NOT a system seller, never has been, never will be and that's FINE. No Retro Studios game has EVER had big sales numbers and that's FINE. Cross Gen kills a system, PS5 is useless cause most of it's games are on PS4. Switch didn't fail, Switch 2 has no new controller type, and is backwards compatible since it's still using the same cartridges. Unlike Wii U being discs and Switch not taking discs. So literally logic stomps on your silly little head. If you aren't a smart person, keep your mouth shut. You speaking only spreads brain rot.
We need Metroid Prime 2. I admit I haven't played it nearly as much as MP1(I actually beat MP1 100% twice and began an unfinished third playthrough, while I somehow didn't beat MP2 once. I need to change that at some point tbh), but it is still very much just more of a good thing.(Very similar basic structure to MP1)
I think they should not only get Prime 2 & 3 out before Prime 4, but also an remake of Prime Hunters because that's where Sylux debuted in. How he survived after the end of Hunters and how he got his hands on Metroid.
Weird either way I look at it. If 2 or 2+3 is February game, why not move up to December if it was effectively done? Or keep 2 as separate physical release? Not super sales, but probably better potential than Fitness Boxing 3. Though does give credence to why they'd not have this for holiday 2024 and instead make another run of Metroid Prime Remastered which has reappeared on store shelves (in rather large numbers) around October. Maybe the graphics quality of 2/3 isn't really anywhere close to MP1R and Nintendo decided they'd rather show off more copies of MP1R as lead-in to MP4 than an MP2/3 that looks 20 years old. They certainly would want 2 and 3 for the series fans before 4, but as a holiday game prior into next year's bigger title, highlighting the best one of the three available is probably smart. And MP2/3 has always been on my speculative February title list, since it fits the criteria of something not worth announcing prior to Christmas because another game in series is trying to be sold during the holiday rush. However, a holiday discount on MP1R from $40 USD to $30 USD (or even a discount on Metroid Dread) would have been clearer indication of this and a better attempt to grow Metroid fanbase. While $40 is normally a good price for a Switch game, when there are holiday discounts for something like Tears of the Kingdom at same price, and other games for less, MP1R might not sell like Nintendo would want unless they really start publicizing MP4 now. Can't wait until January to start the big push on MP4 if you're trying to sell MP1R for Christmas. This is where the lack of news from Nintendo is possibly doing more harm than good. Kind of surprised we couldn't have gotten a new video of MP4 sometime this month touting 2025 release, and ending with some bits about MP1R available now, MP2 in December, and MP3 in spring. A simple campaign like that would probably boost sales a lot more than keeping quiet on MP4 for so long, putting new copies of MP1R on shelves for the holiday without any advertising or price cuts, and sticking MP 2 and 3 in pocket for what looks like a shadow drop or near-shadow drop.
How can the book cover 20 years of Prime Development? Prime 1 took 3 years, Prime 2 was done in 2, and Prime 3 was like 2.5-3 years. So that means it was only 7.5 - 8 years total of Prime's 1-3 development....What's the other 12 years???

I'm predicting Prime 4 to launch on May 8th, 2025. Why? Think about it. There are 2 Metroid games on Switch. They are Metroid Dread and Metroid Prime Remastered. The former was released on October 8, 2021. The latter came out on February 8, 2023. Do you notice the similarity? BOTH released on the 8th day of their respective months. The ideal time frame for the release of Beyond is within the summer of 2025. Nintendo has recently changed their first party games from a Friday release to a Thursday release. Guess what? May 8, 2025, falls on a Thursday. This aligns quite well. The only thing that could potentially throw off this theory is when a potential 2 & 3 HD release could occur. Nintendo could also just randomly put it somewhere in October. We will soon see.
