THANK YOU!!! I have watched so many videos on why my videos look so bad and you were the only one to tell me to set my camera to "keep originals" !!! Such a simple fix but it took me 2 years!
Good stuff. Don't own an iPhone 12Pro Max but after watching so many videos on it regarding cinematic videos I will be in the market for one next year. And now this. Wow.
@@MountMediaChannel I thought the keep originals vs optimise setting was specifically for transferring over cable to windows machines. I remember I was trying to offload photos from my iphone to my pc and it was frustatingly difficult, near impossible. But I found a post online saying it's because the iphone is trying to convert the photos to jpgs and the videos to h264 and failing at doing that. But when I did keep originals it transferred finally. (just that windows cannot view heic photos and for some reason does not natively support h265 video which BLOWS MY MIND, considering it's the CURRENT standard for video compression. It costs 1 dollar on the microsoft store to activate it, which is crazy considering the OS costs 200 dollars, windows 10 pro) Interesting to learn that keep originals effects airdrop, in an apple to apple ecosystem? So without keep originals turned on, a full resolution heic photo gets converted to a lower resolution/ bitrate heic photo? or is the airdropped file now a jpeg?
You blew my mind with a few of these. These shortcuts are going to make life so much easier.
Thx mate!

airdrop reduces quality?
Yes, at least in the default settings. And the difference is huge...
