A variation of this idea I've wanted to see is to have each move, your ability and item all determined my a letter in the pokemon name, but you can't use the same letter twice. For example a Mankey could have Item: Aguav Berry Ability: Neuroforce Moves: Mach Punch, Extreme Speed, Knock Off, Yawn Whereas a Muk would have to forego an item and 3 moves It could prioritize pokemon with long names just to give more options Chi-Yu would likely by much more useless than Houndoom (Although in this particular case, the C in Chi-Yu could let you just run a choice item, so the limited moves may be fine)

Explain like I'm 5: how can a move that isn't in the game be given to the Pokemon? I genuinely don't know anything that goes into the process of how these videos are done so I'm very very curious
I think it's when you transfer Pokemon from older versions, the pokemon can have moves that were available back then but removed in the recent gen. But the games keeps the move in that slot, but doesn't allow the player to use it. Idk for sure i am just guessing.
I don't know the exact program they use but essentially they hack the pokemon in. And some moves are programmed to only be usable by a specific pokemon like Geomancy is supposed to be only used by Xerneas. But since there are pokemon like Smeargle who can essentially steal a move from an opponent other pokemon could theoretically use exclusive moves. So you could have a move in the coding but unless the Pokémon that it's supposed to be exclusive to is also in the game, the move is unusable. So since Kings Shield is exclusive to the Honedge line and they're not in Scarlet and Violet, they essentially Hacked in a move that cannot exist.
22:15. do I even have to say it? what did patternz say here and then look at the first two pokemon in luke's team, then look at Tobin's second pokemon at which patternz was even happy about because it was the second legendary of the video. (two water types and a grass type)

Anyone else think it's funny that Primeape wasn't changed to Annihilape, but then tera'd into a ghost type anyways.
Primeape at home
Primeape*
Auto correct got me again
You could add "Forgot to randomize" to the bingo next time lmao
24:28 "Illegal (i.e. nonexistent) move" is a great one! 😂
v abilities: vital spirit, volt absorb, victory star, vessel of ruin
moves: Vacuum Wave, V-Create, Venom Drench, Venoshock, Vice Grip, Vine Whip, Vital Throw, Volt Switch, Volt Tackle,
For GBL videos, the "Then we fight" center square could be "Coin Flip" or "Heads or Tails!!!"
Vinny's could be The Final Countdown.
The bingo board I'm obsessed with.
BFG as a book is the first thing that comes to mind before the movie adaptations

I feel like the program should ask what game the hackmons will be used in and warn when a move is illegal

I never saw the animated BFG movie, but I read the book in elementary school.
