DUDE! This one has grown on me so much over the last couple of days. I can only imagine that the live version of this will be absolutely off the rails.
The speculation is that they plan to announce a new member on April 1st the Fox Day. There is a lot to support it with images of three coffins three thrones and there was a tease during their first take piano version of monochrome. It showed three hooded figures holding hands

They are now understanding that "Difference and Diversity" is another name of BABYMETAL. You should not hasten to be judgmental about them. 😄 Regarding the contrast between English lyrics and Japanese lyrics, Su said "I understand that two languages express two-facedness of human being". [Source : magazine PMC vol.27 page 39] So the difference between almost natural voice and effected voice may be intended to emphasize the dichotomy. And the passage too fast to grasp "Double, double, toil and trouble" and "Fire burn and cauldron bubble" is by Moa. Su said in the article she loves the part by Moa in the 2nd verse. Hi There, loving the reactions. As a fan of several Japanese rock/metal bands it’s always good to see them come up on here. Would love to see what you think of Bridear (try Brave New World Revisited, Bloody Bride or maybe Light In The Dark) 🤘

'Mirror Mirror' isn't the first time they've strayed into Prog Metal in their songs (Tales of the Destinies was on the second album as long ago as 2016) - but it is the first time they've channelled Snow White's step mother or quoted Shakespeare's witches from MacBeth as far as I know.
Any clue who the third member will be? I still am vaguely puzzled as to why since Su's voice has matured, the powers that be tweak Su's vocal a lot for the studio recordings? 😡 Thank goodness for the live versions. 😀
@@Glynthepin No, we have to wait for next weekend to find out ... best guess is Momoko, but that is still nothing more than a guess. As always studio recordings are one thing, live is another.🦊
@@Grington300 Yes, Momoko does seem to be the census of opinion. Kano and Rhio are both busy with other projects. Saya Hirai has not been mentioned now for a long time so very doubtful it will be her. Of course there is always the remotest hope but totally not going to be Yui.
You should react to all the new songs. For the next one i suggest you Maya. For the third girl (Momoko), she's not officially a permanent member yet but some rumors say she might be officially announce at one of their shows, April 1st or 2nd

They've hinted that they're already working on another album. They consider this their 3.5 album and the next one will be their fourth album. The lockdowns happened they got sealed. And now they've broken free and are ready to work. Are we ready for Babymetal? They really are a journey.
This is BM scratching their prog metal itch again. Other examples are "Rondo of Nightmare", "The One" and their best song "Tales of the Destinies". I also like the themes of duality, good and bad and the existential questions. The "Macbeth" quotes are chanted by the 3 witches...which might be an allusion to the past and maybe future make up of BM. As off March 26th 2023 the new 3rd member has only been teased in performances and it's still essentially speculation by fans: Momoko is the favourite with Yui as an improbable, sentimental, dark horse...

Also worth menting here!! Babymetal Metal Kingdom (Babymetal Returns) This is the live concert version. Not the live video but studio version which was first released. Personally, as expected, it's better than the studio recording, which is usually the case with Babymetal. Just though would point that out so people know the difference.
