I love Ariel's wacky vibe and crazy ideas like "showers?.. overrated,
you're all wet and warm and then what?" "Why don't they do star-shaped ultrasound devices?"
She reminds me of Phoebe Buffay
can we talk about Rachel having chemo at 25?! WHAT?! what a tough woman! I was in awe
I big time appreciate Becky’s adding of non binary people whenever she says guys and gals. Love you Becky!!
She sounds like every NASCAR driver at the end of a race making sure to plug all her sponsors into one simple sentence.
@T. Dee I agree I always just address a group as "everyone " because that literally includes everyone but I still think it's a good habit.
i love rhymes like "guys and gals and nonbinary pals" it's BETTER than just saying "everyone"
Shush
As a non-binary person I really appreciated it and feel seen. Thank you Becky. You're super cool. I can see why others in the comments feel like she should just say people, but it means a lot that she goes out of her way to show she supports non-binary identities. Gives me hope in humanity.
I just turned eighteen and I'm going to vote this afternoon!
Update: just got done voting, five minutes in and out
Go You!!!
what an election to start! go make the world a better place ♥️
PLEASE GO NOW THE LATER YOU GO THE MORE LIKELY YOUR VOTE WILL BE SUPRESSED
This is my first presidential election too and I went to vote yesterday! Yes to us young people making change 🙌🏻❤️
bring a snacks and a coat girl! long lines!
When they started discussing baths I thought Miles would join them and the ladies would yell 'GO OFF KING' 🤣🤣. Just like he does on the trypod.
tbh I was disappointed when Miles didn't contribute to the bath conversation lol
Miles is the bath KING
I wish Miles was allowed to be one of the girls😢
Ariel's self care being practicing witchcraft is such a MOOD. Love you girls.
I was looking for a comment like this lmao Yassss
Yes!!! I love it😂
Becky!! I appreciate you constantly using language that embraces nonbinary people!!! It makes me so happy and always makes me feel so included in the conversation. Today I was feeling very dysphoric and not myself and your energy and constant mention of the presence of nonbinary people instantly lifted my spirits. It made me feel so seen and loved. SO all of that to say thank you from a loyal nonbinary listener!
This!! As another nb listener I was v happy 😊
Shush
I wholeheartedly agree. I felt so happy every time she acknowledged non-binary people. It gives me hope of being openly out and accepted someday.
She loves the attention and praise. Fishing for compliments..
@@kimp.dr.n2652 what do you mean? I think she was just trying to be inclusive.
Lmao Miles got roasted and he’s not even mic-ed so he can’t defend himself
Plot twist: Ariel is a fire witch, showering/bathing weakens her fire magic 🔥👀
Agreed lol
So that's why she didn't bathe until after a few days of giving birth to Wes. She was channeling her energy into him.
🔥🧡🔥
When Ariel said "I think organizing is my love language" I felt that
I would have never thought that Maggie gets cystic acne. All this time I have envied her smooth glowing skin! I know how tough it is to deal with oily skin :(
I went to go vote at 5am to wait in a line for an hour and a half. Voted though for my first time
Yey!!! 👏👏
Congrats!
Congrats!
Maggie remember the international listeners aaaww happy birthday Maggie
Happy birthday Maggie love from 🇮🇪 xxx

@@vanessanewbold1358 thank you so much i just wanted to now if it is on my birthday ( mine is on the first of November)

im late to this but this was the greatest reply thread ever. i can say it made me happy that i did NOT feel the need to stomp my last season prada shoes at someone else today
@@edo27 they werent last season..
Hands up who wants Becky to do a video on all the tips and interesting skin things! :)
My hand is up
The knowledge Becky shares is the same thing that any common skincare enthusiast knows. And her lack of knowledge of chemicals shows when she talks about “toxins and clean beauty.” If you want advice from a real expert follow @Caroline Hirons
@@soniav5991 Thanks Sonia, although I would still really like to hear from Becky. :)
If anyone wanted to find anything out about the ins and outs of beauty there is lots of info out there waiting. I myself ask my mum sometimes who's a microbiologist e.g. salicylic acid is aspirin, which cleans the bacteria on your face. Everyone brings something interesting to the table.
It would also be nice to get some skincare tips (e.g. cleansers and lotions, and ways to prevent dark circles under eyes) for people of all gender identities who don't use makeup at all.
When I was a teenager, my mom would always point out every one of my zits and be like "go put some stuff on that!". It would be the middle of the day and I'm doing stuff and she expects me to drop everything and go take care of my acne. It's made me so self conscious of having acne now as an adult.
She also started judging me when I was a senior in high school for not wearing makeup occasionally. I decided that every time she asked why I didn't have makeup on (or made a point of saying something when I DID put on makeup), I would go another day without wearing it. She got so mad and it went on for WEEKS.
I am so sorry you went through that :/ I hope you are in a better place. I wish you the best:)
BTW: her doing and saying those things is awful and so not okay.
@@cristianaaraujogomes6346 I am in a much better place now, thank you. I'm a grown adult in my own place living my best life.
@@arynphillips5888I am glad to hear it . And I am really happy for you.
I love medical tips with Maggie, beauty tips with Becky, photography tips with Rachael(???), and design tips with Ariel(???)
omg Ariel calling out Ned's baths is like "Try Guys: EXPOSED" 😂😂
My go to "feel better" is music. Playing some tunes for whatever mood I'm feeling just soothes and feeds my soul.
"Never ask what's on someone's face" Yes this! I have a beauty mark/mole on my lip and I've had multiple people ask why I've got chocolate or food on my lip 🤦🏼♀️
My biggest self-care I've discovered during Covid was crocheting a little bit everyday! My favorite is doing stuffed animals/dolls and learning new patterns. It's so much fun to create something. :)
How did you start or learn how to crochet because I bought numerous little diy kits and I’m just terrified to open them
@@expelliarmusing I learned on RUclips, there are a ton of crocheters with lessons for beginners, and it's so much easier to learn if you can See what the patterns are describing. Also alot of websites /blogs do crochet alongs which break it down into manageable steps, and explain things thoroughly. The biggest thing is to just keep practicing and start with easy things like a coaster or mug rug or potholder, things that don't take forever and will give you that sense of accomplishment. It'll also let you practice on simple things so you don't waste a ton of yarn if you mess up, although most mistakes can be corrected!
I've been crocheting since I was a little kid. I love it too
I follow Tom Daley the British Olympic diver, and he's taken up knitting and crocheting. He's made a lot of stuff.
Appreciate the shoutout Becky from one non-binary people here!!!!
Another nonbinary person here ^w^
When Maggie shared the anecdote about someone asking her if she washed her face :^) Hits hard lmao! My skin was (still is) bad, but generally, people usually know better than to comment on it. Hair, on the other hand...! Shoutout to all the men who commented on my hair frizzing up and asking if I combed it when it's literally Just My Hair Texture!
I feel Ariel with the disliking showers and everyone thinking she's crazy. I used to be super annoyed with going to the bathroom. I just hated it. Like peeing is relieving, but I hated the time it took when I could be doing other things like staying in bed or continuing whatever activity I'm working on. My old roommate used to tell me that my bladder would fall out. Whatever. It's served me well in covid time when I drive to another city to visit my family and don't always pee while I'm in town.
I'm in South Africa and we don't have daylight savings time so normally the Podcast is posted at 5pm in South African time so for an hour I thought they weren't posting an episode today.
Lmao me too
My BFF is South African and we often watch shows together but then when we go into summertime I often forget the one hour difference (I live in Northern Europe) and hilarity ensues...or mild irritation...and then a facepalm.
Ariel is my spirit animal, organising and checking things off the list 😭❤️
SAME UGH. I have a bad acne and my relatives just say, "what happened to your face?"
my confidence go 📉📉📉📉📉
like i knooooow, i saw my acne before you did and i knooow
Actually, my self care is watching either this podcast or the tripod while eating pizza bites every lunch 😂
Ariel: *Saying her cleaning tasks are her selfcare*
Me: *thinking to myself* Am I Ariel? Could I be a good interior designer?! 🤔
"Watch it. Read it. Love it."
-Becky 2020
My school is a voting area today and I’m not going today because of the trump supporters going with guns saying there are “poll watchers”. I live in Dallas Texas and I’m in 8 grade.
stay safe please
I’m so sorry you are scared to go to school over adults making unsafe choices.
@@aurxse I’m trying!
@@cassiforest9191 It’s not your fault! But thank you. Trump said he loves Texans and supported the violence of it a few days ago. My entire family are not going to school because of it so we are doing it from home.
@@gracielynn4876 he does seem to support violence as long as it isn't BLM related. 🤬 I'm not responsible but as an adult it makes my heart sad that other adults are being unsafe.
The Craft was to me what Practical Magic was to Ariel. It sent me wandering around our local alternative bookstore browsing spell books, crystals and essential oils. The memories 👻😊
the craft just made me realize i’m a lesbian
At the beginning of the video I hadn't voted and then I ended up going out and voting and came home and finished the video lol love yall
I’m just curious, no shame or anything, but we’re you planning on voting or did the video actually convince you to go vote?
@@OlgaWB I was already on the way to voting lol
@@eveisawesom3803 For a second, I was kind of excited that maybe You Can Sit With Us had convinced someone to go vote.
Before Maggie started talking about her skincare she swears by, I was noticing her beautiful glowy skin!
ariel: what you never burned photographs of ex's?? that eas the thing to do!!
me, thinking back to the time my sister and i burned her abusive ex's belongings and photographs: the thing to do!!
Exactly!!!! "You look tired or sick" is something that made me so insecure when I didn't wear makeup 😑 girls hating on girls
I'm such a water baby and baths are my #1 self care. I also have chronic pain, like Zach, so they're helpful for that but I've always loved them. Have a little at home spa day once a week just makes me feel so much better. Manis and pedis were another because I like that "put together" feeling they give me, too
I bought a gel lamp so I can have my nails gelled during corona-times. So my self care is doing my nails and watching old try guy videos. And in times like these, turning off the news/media is also my self care.
I would love to watch Ariel’s organization vlogs or like before/after cleaning in stories. I bet it’s so satisfying with a kid around. But also I think Ariel would love a pretty notebook for bullet journaling. Like even if you don’t draw or put stickers in it but it’d be great to see how much to-dos you do.
“I don’t think that jealousy needs to be there, but I do find myself feeling that way, you know?” honestly just love how these women just word themselves, not to mention becky’s amazing inclusivity!
imagine the guy’s reaction to finding out yet another episode turned into a bath discussion
Miles is like the anti-Ariel in his bathing habits
We've already been blessed with 18 episodes?! Time flies
Hey everyone, please make sure to get out and vote and make your voice heard!! 🇺🇸♥️ #BidenHarrris2020
I voted for Trump. I respect everyone's right to vote for whomever they wish...i hope the Tryguys/wives feel the same, but honestly I feel a little excluded, at times, as a subscriber and fellow voter.
@S1-E2 DAWN ALETHEA LOWE EN What y'all call hate is actually justified anger. His decisions hurt people, cost lives, and terrorize marginalized people. He's a danger to everyone who isn't white, straight, cisgender, and affluent. Pointing that out isn't hateful, it's self-defense.
@@matthewschelle1829 Spend some time thinking about how that sense of exclusion makes you feel, and consider the millions of marginalized people who have felt exactly the same, for their whole lives. Notice how uncomfortable being the minority is, and then apply that empathy to the people that Trump is a danger to.
@@matthewschelle1829 i guess you dont support everyone's daily rights 😬
@@matthewschelle1829 people like you only care about yourself, not everyones right
Ariel you are my spirit animal when it comes to showers and baths!! 🙌 I hate taking a shower (which p.s. you don’t need to do everyday unless you sweat like crazy or stink or you work a job like Maggie’s where it’s not even a question that a shower daily is mandatory ...better for your skin not to shower everyday anyway ) and I absolutely loathe baths! I’m on your side girl!!
I love how both the episode of the You Can Sit With Us and The Try Pod feature their best friends worrying about how much or how little Ned and Ariel bathe
Lol! Self care: I did yoga yesterday and then went to purposefully get a donut after. Today, I'm listening to this while I'm going for a long walk. Thanks for being a part of my self care routine each week. 🥰
😂 Becky I commend you for using Deaf or Hard of Hearing instead of hearing impaired. Just so you know Deaf/Hoh people gotta stare at the screen closely too, that’s how you listen to sign language.
“Nobody showers and everyone’s fighting” omggg you should have called it that 😂🤣
Also I am team skip-the-skincare-products, a little bit of water and the *occasional* Johnson and Johnson baby wash, *chef’s kiss* skin like a baby 👼
I feel Ariel on that voluminous hair envy though
I'm watching this podcast, on my couch, in my jammies, on my week off...but...I'm Canadian, so I can't vote. But....I gotta go, with Joe! Does that count?
You can be an emotional support Canadian. 😊 Some of us will probably need it.
@@MelancholyMoondancer Highly trained Emotional Support Canadian. I will wrap you in a fleece blanket on my lap, and feed you poutine and gingerale while singing songs by Canadian artists :)
I would love a podcast where Becky teach everyone how to skincare and hair care 😂😂
I loved when Rachael mentioned being jealous of people with thick dark eyelashes. My husband has long, thick, dark beautiful lashes and mine are pretty pathetic and medium blonde. And yes, I AM jealous.. He also has clear, soft, olive skin and mine is a super sensitive, pink, blotchy mess. lol! I tell him all the time "What the hell, give me your lashes" and he just says "Yes, baby, you can have them". ;P
Why isn’t Rachel’s pic in the intro?
we need a weekly Becky's Cosmetic Corner! Chatting about all things makeup, skincare, product reviews, etc.
I NEED MORE OF BECKY TALKING ABOUT KDRAMAS. please i love them so much and its so fun to know that becky watches some too. also, the one she talked about here is called "crash landing on you" and not "into you" if it makes it any better, lmao. but it's so so good, great choice !!
This podcast genuinely soothes my soul. Also, shouts out to Becky for including non-binary folx felt very represented by the skincare goddess herself!
happy Election Day everyone!! No matter what, just remember that you are loved and be a kind human❤️❤️ I was waiting for the past couple of hours for this pod to come out because it’s the highlight of my week!!!!! Love you guys🥰🥰
100% don't ask "whats on your face" I have cystic acne and it is so embarrassing. Maggie's story from the lady at work is exactly what would happen to me all the time 😭
me: watching this episode in my bath
Ariel: What do you do in a bath?
me: Well...
I'm getting dressed now that Ariel pointed out I'm watching this on my couch in my pajamas 🙃
I was so excited that you guys posted a video today. I NEEDED a distraction from the anxiety of Election day. (I already voted)
I amanxious and I live on the other side of the world in Germany. How do yall cope??
I genuinely adore Ariel. She's so sweet and funny. And always throwing curveballs! One minute she's talking about trying out witchcraft in high school, the next she's saying she wants to take care of her friends by letting them bathe at her house. 😂 Never change
Hold on - Ariel you make dinner, clean up afterwards, clean the kitchen, prepare the bath, take care of all the chores - and Ned just takes a bath?????????
My mom only let me wear makeup for special occasions until I was almost 18. I hated it at the time, but I’m so grateful because today I have pretty good skin. I never have suffered with major acne. My acne started when I began wearing makeup. Even now I still don’t wear makeup that often. I only wear makeup when going out or if I go into work later in the day and had time for makeup. The acne I do get now is pretty mild. Less is def more!!!
Most days I try to read or write as my self-care, usually getting up early so I can have an hour before work. Today (I have off) included a 20 minute dance break to "Greatest Showman" followed by a bath, wine, and the OG Cheetah Girls movie. Speaking of Cheetah Girls, I feel like the Try Wives could definitely make that their theme music.
My top self-care activities for high-stress or high-anxiety days (if I can't be with people I care about) is rewatching The Office and Jenna Marbles videos. Nothing better than a good comforting laugh.
Hooray for LISTS, Ariel!!! This is such an easy organizational tool; as a mom of 3 and a full=time teacher, this kept me on top of my life most all the time!!
As soon as Maggie said "I stop drinking water" I looked for my water bottle to take a sip
Skincare is a huge self care for me. I struggled for years with bad skin using every product I could find. then one day I found Korean skincare and it changed my skin completely. I have a 8-10 (I exfoliate twice a week and it adds two steps to hit the full ten) step routine that help clam and relax me. No I have clear skin!
I always say that puberty gave me nothing except periods and anxiety, so I never had acne and never washed my face so now at 21 I feel like i have to but when I do a "routine" my face actually breaks out so LESS is way better for me
I can totally relate to the skincare topic. I have PCOS so I have really bad skin (unless I take birth control, my skin would be glowing). My skin has been bad since 9th grade, I believe. It got worse in 11th and 12th grade. To be honest, I never really cared about what other people thought about my skin. I would ignore their comments and suggestions about skin care because I know to myself that I take care of myself very well. So during 11-12th grade, I had classmates tell me to wash my face with this product or use this toner and just give suggestions that I never asked for, and it annoyed the sh*t out of me. There was even one time when they made fun of my acne. We had one classmate who would put a band-aid on her pimples to somehow "heal" them and another classmate commented about how if I did it, it would be the bandages that could cover the whole face. I didn't get sad or mad but I did get annoyed because I have a sickness. It was annoying how ignorant some people can be.
I love that Becky is wearing her ring in this episode because I remember her saying that she needs to have it repaired (or something like that) because it was a vintage ring :)))
Wait a minute! I see Maggie with a green hydro flask, and Becks with a blue-ish one. Are the guys finally acquiescing to my try flasks request?!?
Becky was SO RIGHT about people watching Beauty RUclips videos and then going out and buying everything that person talked about and what happening on their face without reading any of the instructions. I have had a beauty Channel for 7 years but last month I rebranded my channel to more of a home Channel because even I am sick of all the makeup and skin care stuff! Some of us with super dry skin or scalp can't wash their hair everyday and I'm one of them. When I come out of the shower, I have to coat myself head to toe with a hevy moisturizer or I will itch myself to death. For this reason, I do not shower everyday and do not wash my hair everyday.
I feel like the tripod has infected the you can sit with us pod. They're talking about baths too!!
Writing things you’re thankful everyday for can reprogram your brain to look for the good. It’s so beneficial.
what?!?! maggie's skin always looks so flawless!
Men could seriously benefit from watching this Pod, nothing but excellent episodes back to back. So many different topics have been covered so far, and it's mesmerizing.
I'm crying! In the last podcast I commented that I hope Becky would start watching Medical Korean dramas. And here she mentioned Crash Landing On You ❤️ which isn't medical but still love to know that she actually watches kdramas!!!
You guys are part of my self care routine :D Every Monday evening I listen to the podcast while I take a bath and eat chocolate microwave mug cake with vanilla ice cream! Meetings from Germany!
When Becky talked about kdramas AND crash landing on you!!! 😍😍😍😍 YAASSSS!
Recommendations for Becky :) Not exactly a horror but more suspenseful. There's "the bridge curse" on Netflix! It's a mandarin movie. Or thai horror comedy on Netflix "pee mak."
My self care tip is definitely organizing or cleaning things and then lounging around to watch movies/youtube/kdramas
LALALALALA LISTENING TO THIS MAKES ME FEEL BETTER
I just wanna say again, like on many other eps of YCSWU/TryPod. . . .
I LOVE THAT GREEN PEAR SHAPED LAMP
THE BEST SELF HELP TIP I HAVE...
So I studied musical theatre which is full of a lot of critique and self doubt.
We all created positivity books. So whenever we received ‘compliments’ we wrote them in our books.
Doesn’t matter how big or small, from you sang that perfectly! I love your scarf! Or even just a well done.
Then before auditions or when we were doubting ourselves or feeling low your brain automatically goes to the negatives so we would take out our books and read all the lovely positive affirmations we had received through the year.
Helps to lift your mood, clear your mind and remind you that you are doing well 🥰🥰
I so agree with Ariel about baths. I used to like cool baths on a hot night in summer, but 10 minutes in - - - now what? I feel the same way about looking at scenery. It's beautiful, OK, now what?
Becky watching K Dramas is feeding my soul. I need her to watch Mr Sunshine and report back.
50:50
There's a rule 'if they can't fix it in 5 seconds, don't bring it up.' You're only helping someone if your telling them about a smudge on their cheek or broccoli in their teeth... other than that just SHHHHH... 🤫 Just be nice.
That's actually, wow. A smart saying.
ariel is so quirky and it’s ADORABLE
I needed this today
I used to watch Switched At Birth, where about half of the character are deaf/HOH. I'd forget or get distracted and miss an entire important scene because I wasn't watching the subtitles. WHOOPS.
"Your self-care cannot be cults!" lmao I love Becky.
I'm only halfway through listening but I really needed to hear them talk about self-care. I'm not American and where I am there are very few cases but it's been stressful nonetheless because I live across the globe from my family by myself ... I should do more self-care and less thinking about how to destroy myself ...
Ah! I totally agree that everyone skin needs different products, and even a different approach- but night time is probably the most important time to wash your face! You are exposed to so many pollutants, so many free radicals from our surroundings, especially in the city. That exposure is the fastest way to age and damage the skin. At night our skin goes into repair mode, which is why it's the best time for performance ingredients- but if it is congested with pollutants and maybe some makeup, your skin just continues to absorb those.
I use CODA bath bombs. I live in Colorado, and these bath bomb are 15mg THC and 15mg CBD. I suffer from chronic back pain from 2 pregnancies and a roll over car accident, where I was the driver that was hit and my vehicle rolled. These bath bombs relieve ALL of my pain and I get the BEST nights sleep after using one. It’s so worth sitting in a hot bath and watching a RUclips video for.
I needed this SOOO much! thank you
It was an amazing episode!!
I love the self care of making my bed , I've taken an extra step and air it out for 30 min now . A nice bed is one of the best nice quick things you can do.
I just love this podcast so much, I get so excited everytime I see a new episode and tbh listening to this is like a little part of my (mental) self care routine 🥺💓
this is the best birthday ever to have a new episode on my bday:) and happy bday maggie!!!
Yes Ariel! I love lists and crossing things off - so satisfying!!!
Thank you for this episode, you are so sweet and this is exactly what I needed now 💖💖💖
