Very well done! Just a piece of advice: jackets issued to Italian foot soldiers in ww2 were made out of very poor quality mixed recicled wool and artificial textile, I guess that one you used for the show should have been own by an NCO since they usually bought better ones for themselves, the collar insignias you used were issued to élite infantry units (bersaglieri) that wore other distinctive attributes like feathers on their helmets and leather leggins over the boots (they rarely wore puttees during ww2 since they were truckborne infantry mostly ), and were issued with Carcano carabines. Greetings.
Another first rate video....I particularly liked the Italian set up...I've got a probably refurbished after ww2 Italian helmet, zig zag stitching and some other bits....your display is excellent, well done again, top drawer!!😊😊😊
The chap who doe's my editing missed a clip out where you get a mention he is going to take this one done and redo it so should be new one on tomorrow afternoon
I’ve just come across your videos and bloody love them. Iv been trying to find an informative channel like this on uniforms for years. Keep it up and thanks for the content 👍😃
You don't see a lot of it over here and doesn't seem very popular with other collectors WW2 German gear is the big thing at the moment and getting very expensive
@@militarymad2840 Italian stuff certainly adds great interest. German stuff has had huge hit here due to new legislation. Huge fines. Much now banned. Don’t mention 1984. I best say no more. Love the luftwaffer flight gear. 👍
I think the Italian and Hugo Boss NAZI uniforms were sharp. Most British Tommy combat uniforms were functional and durable but they honestly looked like a gang of hobos!!
I had to pretty much had to make my own if you look at a video I did recently on the 8th Army and Afrika Korp I explain what I had to do at the beginning of the video
The officers did wear pips in action but some did remove them it was a choice ?? I notice he officer has no shirt and tie I thought in WW2 it was the norm for offices at the time
@@militarymad2840 Starting from 1943/44, the Royal Italian Army became a co-belligerent with the Anglo-Americans and adopted the British battle dress. This choice particularly displeased our officers who had a lot of freedom in dressing and wore tailored uniforms. Many of them considered the battle dress to be a uniform for petrol station attendants...
The Italian uniforms are gorgeous, but they often get overlooked!!! Great video btw
I know I think they look great
here in italy they are dirt cheap, you can get an original for around 200€
@@JK-vb8di I will have to come over one day 👍
Great displays. Cant forget the Italian Telo Mimetico pattern zeltbahn. That was one of the first camouflage patterns ever
They have great kit all round

Don’t have any and don’t think you would see it when jacket is buttoned to the top
@@militarymad2840 If you watch dads army look at the officer they wore a jacket but opened up the collar to show a shirt and tie
Speaking about both.....how unless it was above +15 celcius did they not sweat to death??
