Another great W.A.N.K Harry, and it looks like you have a heavy workload in 2024. Doesn’t matter what you undertake next, I am sure it will be as interesting, and as entertaining, as ever. Cheers mate, and have a happy Crispness!😊
I suppose if Vasco de Gama ever went to Mexico you could call him Tobasco Vasco. 😁(I know, I'm fealing silly). Interesting stuff Harry and some nice kits there old bean. All the best.
Hi Harry, that's an interesting bunch of "new kits". Good Idea leaving out the naughty bits, maybe Santa will move you from the Naughty List to the Nice one. Happy Holidays!
Season’s Greetings. Well well, as a fully paid up member of the Ronnie Bucknan fan club (a small but dedicated group) glad see he will get his stead out of the tea towel in 2024. Just as I was dropping off, (ships not my thing, but you do build them beautifully with passion and skill) along comes the Lotus 49B. My cup runners over (please excuse the biblical reference). Have a great one. Best wishes.
Hello mate hope you and bask have a great Christmas 🎄 and i am looking forward to your next build i like the look of the tamiya F1 car happy modelling old boy all the best from here in the UK 👍 🇬🇧
alot of new models in the stash you got there harry. looking forword to another year so you and bask take care of yourselves and hope y'all have a happy holidays and a great new years
Happy Christmas Harry, looking forward to the finished Stingray and I not done a battleship since my teens. So maybe I have ago with you in 2024. I have got an Airfix Space 1999 Hawk to start the year off, but after that I am open to a challenge. 🎅🎅🎅☃️🎄🎁
Nice video as always! 13:45 I already was aboard this ship. It's indeed Portuguese, it's pronounced "saw gresh". It's actually German built and part of the Gorch Fock class of sailing ships, built during the 1930s through 50s.
Good to see you are getting back to the Honda F1. I grew up making the old school tamiya f1 kits and looking forward to seeing you get stuck into it. I did build the Lotus quite a while back and if I remember right the big wing is just for the "Race of champions" (dont quote me on it, could be totaly wrong 🙂). The Lotus F1 car didnt use it and looked way cooler without it. Have fun mate.
BTW Harry the Ocidental kit of the NAU SAN GABRIEL is as rare as ducks teeth with those cloth sails, as Revell and Zvedza on ever done plastic sails with theirs( myself having the Zvedza kit in my stash with instructions).
Some nice scores there. I like 1/12, but, I can't see it without my specs. Scored a 1/1 creature from Alien 3 though, now that I can see! It'll be June at least before I can build it though. I need to move and I want to see what happens in the next election before I do too much. Such is life. Hope you enjoy Christmas!
In all fairness Tamiya isn't a lost cause. They manufacture a few select kits that lack alternatives, never bad thing isn't it? I mostly fiddle with WW1-WW2 era British/Axis/American stuff, be it armour, trucks, civilian or army cars, artillery, planes, subs, trains, so few I'd mention are Japanese staff cars, which are quite nice, M8 Scott, Char B1 bis (this particular kit and its variations boasts excellent quality for some reason) and of course the mighty dragon wagon. Mediocrity of assembly and kit 'anatomy' aside, this already wins them some points! Other than that, yeah: it's horrible. I'm a massive Churchill fan, and even though AFV club and them are they only firms to actually make the kit (in 1:35 at least ), I'll take any of AFV's Churchill even if they're at least twice the price. They're that good, and Tamiya's kit is so bad saving few dozens buckaroos isn't even worth it!
A bit off topic but great info… Some like Tamiya, but mostly I love Airfix. It’s a big world. We can have variety. But I do like Tamiya’s 1/12 scale F1 racing cars. So there’s that.
Becker went on holidays in New Zealand then came back and bought a boat plus a motorcycle. Guess he’s too busy having a second childhood to do any modelling.
if you were the person who ordered today then I need the ship name and kit make so I can taylor the Rat Harp for your build. A 1/100 Victory is more than twice the size of a 1/100 Bounty, so they use very different size Rat Harps.
Surcouf was accidentally rammed (at night I believe) by a US merchant ship and sunk with all hands (again, I believe). She wasn't intended so much as a sub but a submergible cruiser/destroyer -- whatever. She was supposed to surface when she went into action - to include shore bombardment. A very odd ship indeed. Trying to keep an aircraft and turret operational after being underwater. Yeah, no problem....
RUclips is doing that again I had the issue as well they should leave well alone good for you on the letter to them it so dumb on the picture change I alsway like the whole picture instead of the narrow screen
It was so frustrating. I did some research, updated the software and found a hidden setting to override the portrait default. We will be back to widescreen next time.
@@HarryHoudiniModels that's good other channels were affected as well I told one person the same thing I'm wandering why RUclips would do that I like the fall screen as well
They locked the default to portrait assuming people streaming off smart phones were doing ticktock type crap I expect. But they did not have an option to set landscape on the old app. Even if you had updated the app, the option for landscape was hidden in the advanced section. Very poor software design!
As if we're doing tic TOC not likely right just like to see the full video I've people going on the news with that setting narrow video I like the full video the best it cut off most of the video going that way
One kit I hated the most was the mack truck Alantis the plastics is horriable I wash it the glue would not hold it was like brittle plastic I try all glues it's a 148 scale log truck everything falls of as in parts different color plastic it look greasely I have a second one I'm putting that one of I alsway like the grey plastic it glues good
@@HarryHoudiniModels your right the color plastics it look very greasy I wash it in mild dish soap try a few glues for plastic some of them didn't quite bite the plastic other I've done other kits they work out very well these kit dated back in 1962 some use that color plastic red yellow green black look kind of shiny thx
no i didn't . but i did mention how it was sacrilege to put a big ugly spoiler on such a classic F1 cigar car n how I saw some little millennial moron had put one on a classic E-type Jaguar (V 12 twin gas tank etc.) plus how I would love to see an in box kit review on the Portuguese galleon and the tiny Gabriela as well. pretty please with sugar on top.@@HarryHoudiniModels
The Stingray and the floating Pimp's palace St Louis look FAB 😘
I salute your double entendres Sir 😉
Just like that Spanish Bull Fighter Innuendo. I try to poke the odd one in Bas.

Hi Harry, that's an interesting bunch of "new kits". Good Idea leaving out the naughty bits, maybe Santa will move you from the Naughty List to the Nice one. Happy Holidays!
Santa has me on a permanent “naughty list” with over half a century of misdeeds. LOL
Your Saint Louis is looking mighty spruce Harry. Cheers.
Why thank you Mirror.. although I think they used oak to build them.. hehe
Looking forward to seeing the finish of the Stingray.
Me too Blaine

Hi Harry. Is it possible for you to print some ratline frames in 1/95 scale?
Sure.. just order online then tick scale of 1/100 then the Make and Ship Name, plus add a note that yours is 1/95.
