    Feel no remorse in being busy and slowing down on content... your previous content is a wealth of knowledge and very much appreciated. You've helped us create a much sturdier and healthier environment for growing our food. Thanks again, Steve!!

    If I’m a patreon supporter do I get any special access to these cuttings in any different way than if I wasn’t?

    • @SkillCult
      @SkillCult  Год назад +1

      Yes. Patrons have early access according to support level.

    • @matthewking2209

      Nice but it sill comes down to the amount of money you give or have. I like what one fig grower did with his limited cuttings. He did a raffle with his cuttings. Everyone that was interested in winning the cuttings was to donate 20.00. That got you a entry in the raffle and he entered the names into a random generator that choose three random winners. They won a 150.00 in cuttings. If they just wanted to donate but didn’t want the cuttings you could choose someone else to give them to. Maybe you could do the same in the future. He did the giveaways live. It might help boost your channel and give everyone a equal opportunity instead of having viewers get into a bidding war with each other. A social system instead of a capital system.

    • @SkillCult
      @SkillCult  Год назад +1

      Have you watched my video on tanning materials or read the web page on that? If not, definitely check them out. You should have plenty of sources. Any oak, hemlock and sumach come to mind. walnut hulls have it, but I hear it takes. lot of black walnut hulls to tan anything.

      I have watched all your stuff haha I was making progress with acorns back in NJ but idk if tree bark will be a reasonable way for me because I don’t have enough land for trees to spare. I collected a dried a bunch of those bush leaves. I can’t remember the name off hand as it was almost two years ago but your material said it’s the highest in tannin from what I recall

    If you're:
    - Located in the Schengen part of the EU (sorry CH, IS, NO, def no UK), and
    - Interested in some of Steven's varieties, and
    - Can graft scions, and
    - Willing to spread these varieties as soon as you can (ie next year)
    then drop me a message with your location and experience/set up. Please note that I only have scions for 2, maybe 3 people this year so it's not going to be first come first served.

      incompatibility can occur among apple varieties and species, but it seems to be more the exception. I wouldn't hesitate to do that.
