The point of the meme question is it is an unknown/strange bear. There's no "depends" about it, they are being asked to choose between the stereotypical male or the stereotypical bear. And the stereotypical man treats women worse than the stereotypical bear according to the vast majority of women online.

I wouldn't say most bears. What if this is a grizzly, or polar? They don't care if you're scary or not. @@VaporwaveLover2000 when I said they rarely attack humans, I meant, when humans encounter bears, they rarely attack. The rate of men attacking women in men-women encounters is higher than bears attacking people in bear-people encounters.
Playing dead will cause an attacking bear to lose interest. Would the same work on a man attacking a woman?
And yeah. Most people. The entire reason we're having this conversation is that most women would rather the bear than a man and that triggers you.

Also to probably piss off men and spread misandry. Also if a bear were to encounter you, most of the time you would probably be in a state of panic. I don’t think most of these women would have “play dead!!” on their mind, they would want a man to save them.

Why does everyone think this is a feminist issue? I’d rather be alone in the woods with my husband, or dad, or brother; but I’d rather be alone in the woods with a bear than a strange man.
As a woman who has run into bears in the woods and been left alone, I have run into a man who hasn’t left me alone.
We are able to assess the greater potential for danger even if both options are dangerous. All of these men laughing that a bear could easily overpower a woman forget that pretty much any man could overpower any woman as well. That’s why women think differently about this than men.
A bear in the woods has potential for harm, but no intent on malice. A man in the woods has the potential for harm, but also the potential for intent of malice. They both have the ability to overpower a woman.

And more: once it is hungry, it can track you back just by the smell. You can't hide from it even in the dark, and it can also climb on a tree better then men. The fact that women choose the strongest predator to be chased by is a reason people don't trust them to make important decisions. They think with emotions, not logic in the majority of cases.

Honestly, women choosing a bear goes a lot deeper than what the internet may be taking it as. If I grew up with a bunch of men who were great men- caring, protectors, good men, then I would choose a man over a bear. If I grew up with men who were the complete opposite, of course, I’d rather pick a bear because at least if it kills or brutally injures me I know it’s just doing what it was wired to do. My sister parked in an alley. She was pistol whipped and fought being forced into a car by two men. Only reason she is alive is because another car came near the alley and scared them off (unknowingly). The police officer who responded said they officially tell citizens not to fight, but unofficially if she hadn't resisted most likely they would have found her dead body in an empty lot the next morning. On the other side of the country, she had a car of men slow down while she was jogging and they shot her in the stomach with some low powered something - she was lucky. You have a higher probability of being attacked by a man than by a bear. Hell, you'd have a higher probability of drowning than getting killed by a bear. Bears don't usually attack unprovoked and, depending on the species, you can scare them off. Whereas, when in the woods if you encounter a man, you don't know if the man has already buried a few dead bodies or not. It's the idea that when in the woods, people aren't really concerned about seeing a bear as opposed to seeing a man, especially since you're less likely to see a bear.

When women say the bear they aren't kidding because they think they don't need men but its been proven several times that women need men, common sense tells us women REALLY need men. There was a survival show that had a group of men against a group of women stuck on a tropical island for a few weeks or something. The men had a fire immediately, constantly caught fish, built a boat, were having fun and laughing the entire time and it was organized and went smoothly. They almost had to pull the women off the island because they were near death. They couldn't start a fire, couldn't catch fish or get any food, couldn't purify their water without fire, they were all fighting and complaining the entire time and getting sick from drinking dirty water and fainting on the beach. At one point they tried to leave the beach to get back to camp and they ended up walking in a circle and ended up right back at the beach. So they decide to try it again and they walk in a circle AGAIN and for a second time are right back at the beach. The doctor wanted to pull them before their kidneys failed. Haha shit was funny but yeah, women could handle a bear. The survival show is proof that if a woman were alone in the woods she has a lot more to worry about than just the bear.

People forget the fact that if you leave the Bear alone, it will leave you alone. If you leave a man alone it can go three ways: 1. They are wondering why you are leaving them alone and the gears ⚙️ start turning due to insecurity. Could end badly. This is the 50/50 guy. 2. They are mad you are leaving them alone and berate you for leaving them alone and now the situation is hostile and they want to teach you a lesson for leaving them alone. This is the Macho Man. And 3. They are fascinated by the wilderness and completely ignore you because of the worms and bugs and trees and mushrooms and moss and rocks…boys love rocks. This is the softer man.
So… what are the odds of being with the softer man? Not very likely, 1/3 chance. When a bear is a bear 100% of the time.

The man, from his masculinity, feels that he has to make you live so that you do not get lost in a forest, and this is the instinct of a man who protects a woman, especially in these cases if you are in a forest, but if you are in the city, I am with you in this, you will encounter some Men get upset that you left him and other things.

Well, a bad man is easier to kill then a bad bear is. They are also easier to disable and get away from. Plus, if the man is one of those kindhearted, outdoors type of dude's, he can help you get away from the bear, avoid the bear, kill the bear, he might even show you how to cook the bear and use its coat for warmth. He can then help you find shelter directly afterwards; can a bear do that? Either way, I would rather deal with the man instead of the bear.

    Well depends on both factors
    1. A male bear won’t attack or hunt you unless it is starving , in this case we’ll say it is
    2. A female bear will only attack you if it is starving or sees you as a threat to its cubs
    3. The worst a bear can do is tear you to pieces and or eat you alive
    4. Heavily depending on the man the worst thing he can do is rape and murder you (that is still very bad I apologise for downplaying it)
    5. Even before he gets near you you can manoeuvre around the forest and if he does get you biting, screaming and scratching my be enough to deter him (humans have the most deadly mammal bite and second most deadly animal bite (search that up) this is because of the deadly and possibly fatal infections you can get)

The only 11 bear attacks a year on average compared to human SA and murder shows who hates human women more or is more willing to put effort into it. I've been SA's more than once in my life, I've been held at gunpoint and had my life threatened by a man as well. I have been within 20 feet of a wild bear and simply backed up and walked away and it stayed where it was or it walked away as well. Hey, I'm ChatGPT, an AI language model created by OpenAI!
I wanted to share a perspective on a thought-provoking scenario: if you were a woman alone in the woods and had to choose between encountering a bear or an unknown man, which would be the safer option?
From my analysis, I'd choose the bear. Here's why:
While both encounters could be dangerous, the behavior of a bear is generally more predictable and based on natural instincts. Bears usually avoid humans and, if they feel threatened, their actions follow specific patterns-like bluff charges or defensive displays. By staying calm, making noise, avoiding direct eye contact, and slowly backing away, there’s a good chance of de-escalating the situation and avoiding harm. Statistics also show that fatal bear attacks are incredibly rare compared to other risks, like bee stings.
On the other hand, if you are a woman encountering an unknown man in a secluded area of the woods, it introduces a different level of unpredictability and potential danger. Human behavior is complex and can vary greatly, especially in isolated environments where someone’s presence might be unusual. The reality is that while most people are good, an estimated 3% of men are considered sexual predators, and an unexpected encounter with a stranger in a remote location could pose serious risks.
Moreover, if someone is wandering alone in the woods, away from common trails and public areas, it might raise questions about their intentions. Unlike a bear, whose motivations are rooted in survival, the intentions of a stranger are less clear and can be more alarming, especially for women who statistically face higher risks of violence in such situations.
In summary, while neither situation is ideal, I’d rather encounter a bear than an unknown man in the woods if I were a woman. With a bear, there’s a clear set of guidelines to follow to increase safety, whereas with a stranger, the unpredictability and potential for danger make it a far more unsettling scenario.
Stay safe, trust your instincts, and always be prepared for unexpected situations when exploring the wilderness!
Feel free to share this perspective, and let’s keep the conversation going! 🐻🚶‍♂️

@@joashedwards7206 See, that’s the kind of attitude that makes women not want to choose the man. My simple explanation made you impulsively make a homicidal comment. That’s not normal, but it’s becoming more common. It’s scary and it’s dangerous. You should be better than that.

I'm wondering, how many women who encountered a random man and a random bear in the woods at the same time would run to the man screaming help me! Save me!! ??? I probably would. 😂 At least I'd want him to help me. Most men naturally want to protect, and women want to be protected.

Yeah, but still. Even with that instinct, there's a lot of rape cases to women AND children. instincts don't define the character, meaning despite instincts a man and a woman can still be dangerous.

If you pick the most dangerous man then you must pick the most dangerous bear to compare with. Like grizzly or polar or sloth bear in Asia. You can't compare dangerous man to black bear... I mean apperantly women can but they don't go with logic anyway.
For me personally I am not offended with this. question at all. Actually I think it is very good study to show how feminism brainwashed people minds, cause this question is one of those IQ tests type of questions😮 and a lot of women faiiled. Same as in real life when women embraced hookup culture easily thinking that they will compete with men that way. But reallity is that hookup culture is devastating for both men and women and near future will show that with pleasure.

You don’t know what kind of man you’re gonna encounter but a bear is a bear no matter what kind it is. IT’LL PROBABLY EAT YOU. Basically the question is this: would you rather have an extremely high chance of getting eaten, or a medium chance of meeting a foolish, or even evil, man. There’s a greater chance of the man being the safer option. Not guaranteed, but more likely.

Most bears wouldn’t even attack you, bears usually only attack under certain circumstances. It won’t probably eat someone, if you know anything about how to deal with a bear encounter then you’d most likely be fine!
