I just wanted to thank you I have tried out for alot cover bands lately and have had a very short time period to learn the songs and you have made things easier . Karl
You did a good job with this one. Being is that I wanna play Oh Pretty Woman on my bass, I have a question. You mentioned the tuning was 1/2 step down. Which string(s) do I tune down 1/2 step, the E and A strings?
Constantine, thanks for the pdf sheet music, but I should've told you from the get-go that I'm like Hendrix, I can't read or write music, but I can definitely rock it by ear. I watched you rocked Pretty Woman several times and I noticed you only played the E (open and closed E), A and D strings. I have a question for you: 1. If I'm to tune all 4 strings down a 1/2 step and if you're only playing the E, A and D strings, then why must I tune down the G string a 1/2 step if I'm not playing it? Am I missing something here?
+coolassclay Great question. No your not missing anything although on the second half of the song, there are some notes played on the G string, if you did not tune down, your G string, you would be playing the wrong note. If you played the A on your D string, 7th fret, you would not need to tune down.
Perfect, as usual. Do not stop Constantine. Go to the 1,000,000 bass covers!
you're a gooood bass teacher man! Don't stop me now...
