- Something extraordinary is making waves at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee!
SoundWaves is a 4 acre, 3-level luxury indoor/outdoor waterpark with dedicated recreation zones for adults, young children and families.
The $90 million project includes nearly 111,000 square feet of upscale indoor water attractions and activities and another 106,000 square feet of outdoor water amenities, as well as dining options and private cabana rentals.
Adult guests will have exclusive access to adults-only indoor and outdoor pools, bars and lounging areas throughout the complex.
The indoor attractions will be enclosed under a soaring atrium, a hallmark of the Gaylord Hotels brand, and surrounded by lush, tropical landscaping.
Year-round indoor attractions include an indoor slide tower, a double flow rider, rapid and lazy rivers, an activity pool with rock climbing and more features to be announced as the project progresses.
Seasonal outdoor features include a 315,000-gallon wave pool with a giant LED movie screen, a 45.5-foot slide tower, an adults-only pool and a kids pool with a multi-level play structure.
They forgot to mention the hot lifeguards Lol 😂.
I loved it there it was so beautiful and awesome
i went down the waterslide where you drop down like 50 times lol
Very cool
This looks great, but not nearly even half as great as Opryland was! I'm curious as to what happened to the stuffed bear that was in the cave of the Grizzly River Rampage ride. I mean does someone have it in their living room? lol I had heard that the Bass Pro shop in Nashville had it, but the manger says that to the best of his knowledge none of their bears are it. Can someone please tell me what happened to it? Why are there no pictures of it online? You mean to tell me of all the people that worked on that ride, not one person snapped a photo of it, showed it to their girlfriend and said "hey honey, take a look at THIS!" then posted it online years later!? That thing scared the crap out of me as a kid! lol
Sapphire Rain, that is a good question. I know many of the employees were allowed to purchase or were given items, that were just going to be destroyed (signs, placemats, etc.) Wonder if that bear is something someone got?
Opryland was the best! Still can't believe they put that awful mall there instead. Ugh :(
I remember the old Opryland Amusement Park and that bear too. 😊 Those were fun days!!
Cool
very cool
I WOULD DIE TO GO HERE AGAIN
Wow!
Are the indoor and outdoor pools heated?
I am going on Friday
Did you go ??? How was your experience?
Looks like fun!
When does it close?
$450 a night tho?
looks fun but not for $650 a night
There is only one restaurant and it cost 15 million dollars to build that water park
you are ded when you go to the one where you fall and cross your arms
lol 2 years later but you literally go down 8 feet then land and slide 💀
