China, famous for exporting silk, literally the name sake for the “Silk Road” “Oh cool we have Sericulture, nice didn’t know we could do that!” Love your videos man, and silly moments like these make me laugh.
i did a communist china run, and i did a bit of research and prep for the war to ban opium, but when i banned it, britain didn't even care and i was able to make them my ally very quickly LMAO. made it sooooo easy
Yeah I think as a player they tend to not be as aggressive against you, or maybe I just had your luck. Well, I say luck, but my goal for that run was to play Taiping but since Britain didn't screw me over it didn't spawn
if you delete all of your ports, great britain won't go in on you because they can't take a treaty port from you, allowing you to ban opium at no risk. also, you can switch to agrarianism for free without the landowners being mad at you, which is a significantly better law than traditionalism.
5:00 thanks for the shoutout to burmese history, genuinely appreciate it! If there is one thing i'd add its that the burmese empire at the time of the british war was at an all time low(in terms of manpower at least), it'd been roughly 30 years since the qing invasions which while we did fend them off(despite our main army being in thailand for the first 2.5 invasions) it ruined our demographics. Then our king, instead of going"all right, looks like we're getting hugboxed, lets just chill" he instead decides to keep invading(weaker neighbours but ya know, it still drains our manpower and money). Maybe we might've fared better if our king decided to actually chill out. Anyways, genuine thanks for mention my country/region, gonna go back to finish the vid now

What do we call Mao Laith? Maith? Maoith? I personally think Maith is the best one. Anyways, reforming China is normally pretty hard, and you also get dunked on by the British if you're not careful. Spamming Universities and buildings (+ techs) that increase your Tax collection are key, but please not in one province. Spread them out in many provinces, especially the high populated ones, to get some nice literacy. Hope this helps someone atleast. Also thanks for the Burma History lesson, I never knew much about them, except the Taungu Empire. 😄
As a China player, you generally shouldn't worry about taxation capacity. Just focus on construction goods and sectors, and build Admin buildings when your Bureaucracy goes below 0. Increasing taxation capacity just isn't worth it because people are too poor to give anything worthwhile.
It feels impossible to get the trade uniuons in the game i kinda wish there was a way where you could rush communism if your peseant population it really high or something
what actually tends to gravitate towards communism is not peasants but intellectuals (the class not the type of people), the peasants only ever really go towards that direction if shit is real rough for them, the proletariat as communism found out is not actually a revolutionary force, as long as shit is not as bad as yesterday they tend to stick with the status quo
Communism as it was intended and was implemented in the game mainly arrises from the working class in the industry, not peasants in the field… that only came with the russians and everyone copied of the russians.
social credit score is a myth and is just a racist exaggeration of China's banking and financial credit rating system. If the USA does it, its normal, if China does it, its social credit. Westerners have been brainwashed to believe a nation that holds 20% of the world population can have a cartoon animation economy. No wonder your countries are starting to fall behind the emerging global south.

Yes in my CPC game that happened too. Sometimes, very rarely, the British decide to just leave you alone.
In my run Britain somehow allied Russia and pummeled me to the ground...

you can keep the ports in the province, where portugal has the treatyport. In that way you can continue seatrade.
The only "problem" is that you have to research romanticism to get agrarianism, but that isnt that important
Nah the thumbnail 😂😂.
