A king, who will inevitably create power-networks, begin centralization and warfare in order to increase his power network? No thank you.
I don't believe any utopia is possible, but if anything, I would prefer some kind of loose confederation of small regional groups, a network of voluntary cooperation, in order to facilitate trade on equal terms and avoid warfare.
However, I believe our future will be one of constant warfare among the surviving population, being controlled by various warlords. So we'll eventually get those kings, I'm afraid. Hopefully and probably I will be long dead before that bleak future.
