Funny coincidence, but Hypno-potamus has some facial similarities with the evil Spirit of Darkness, an evil genie from the dutch-japanese cartoon Alfred J. Kwak, which appeared in two episodes. Both are anthropomorphic hippos, have a moustache, wear an earring and use magic. Hypno-potamus is my favorite character from Rise and i really hope, that he will appear in future versions of the TMNT.
Possible Doug died because he fused with Mezmer-Ron when he was stinged by oozesquitoes. I'm assuming that because the guard at botanical garden fused with the corpse flower plant when he got stinged. I'm guessing since it hasn't been confirmed 🪄
Hypno potomus is one of my favorite villains from rise. Though I wonder how he would be different if he was an ally to the turtles
