If someone is upset for losing or making a costly mistake, that is only the natural way to feel if youre driven by competition, but unless someones actions are asking to be ridiculed, why gang up on someone the second they get down? At a tournament my friend participated in he was in a semi's match and ended up losing a close match, all he did was say "Dammit!" and slam his fist down on his leg... a reaction that is not at all overboard... he shook his opponents hand, said good game, and as he walked away shaking his head his opponents friends started harrassing him with all the same old garbage you hear people say... "OOOOH HE'S SALTY, SO MUCH SALT! 3SALTY5ME! GIT GUD KID!"... It's insane how no one bats an eye when people act that way towards someone who loses, however it's "funny" to gang up on a guy for just expressing a mild amount of frustration?
if someone is upset for losing, tell them good game and offer to shake their hand. if they refuse to shake ur hand and they take off, just keep a poker face as they leave. it's going to be 100% salt if they instead go "nah fk u"

Rules state that if that happens, the final stock is to be replayed, and Matt gets beat really hard. Personally, the rule is unfair and unnecessary. At the end of the match, Matt clearly had the lower percent and was in control of the situation. It should have gone to a 5th game, not some cheese, 1 stock replay. If beating the time means the lower percent or higher stock guy wins, why should Sudden Death be any different.
Julio Suarez As TO of the tournament, I had to make the call here on what to do. I determined to replay the stock as I didn't want to select the ruling that directly favored me to remain unbiased.

I don't understand the joy in teasing people's salt, even when it isn't that salty. It's so rude and unnecessary and it's one thing I hate about smash community. If someone is angry/frustrated/upset/sad why the f*** do people in this community have to stupidly make fun of them for it. I don't care if it's supposed to be "playful" or "in good fun." It's still bad mannered and I hate to imagine how the "salty" guy feels in some situations.
We can't just let ragers just make everyone else feel uncomfortable and tense just because they lost, but we also can't just shit on them directly and call them immature and stupid cause that would just add fuel to the fire.
