Love this plant. Especially the buds in the Summer. It has a stimulant effect and as a digestive bitter it greatly enhances digestion.

He never actually addresses why absinthe is Not hallucinogenic. See Meschler and Howlett (1998) article 'Thujone Exhibits Low Affinity for Cannabinoid Receptors But Fails to Evoke Cannabimimetic Responses.'
