Scottie you out did yourself again. When I first started watching the video I was thinking why didn't he black out the hood, where's the hood pins. AC on a 6 Pak car? No 4 spd with a pistol grip shifter. Watched the video again and realized, it's his car, and it looks fabulous. Owner is very creative.
+Al Cyr Right on Brother....Lets talk about what you liked about....there will always be something you would change or would have done different....but it's not ours.....It's his and it is a cool car...
Wow that is an awesome friggin car. I've never seen someone do a 6 barrel induction on a 340 Duster. They are so lightweight. That car must really haul ass with a 340/6. The AAR was my favorite Cuda. I had a 73 Duster 340-4 speed. It was the lower compression 340 but the 340 was still a screamer in 1972-73...especially in the ultra lightweight Duster/Demon. I loved that car. Maybe my favorite that I've ever owned. The 340 Duster/Demon was probably the fastest car you could still buy in 1972-73 other than a 73 Trans Am 455 Super Duty. Ford or Chevy didn't have anything as fast as a 340 Duster in 73
I love the concept of this car but there are a few errors in the vid...He says that it's a "340 Six pack Motor that was a Trans Am Motor it's a 69 block"....so a "340 Six pack Motor" does not exist and never did.Plymouth offered a 340 Six Barrel intake and Dodge had the 340 Sixpak intake as a dear installed option or you could by it at your Chrysler dealer as part of the Scat Pack Pakage."Trans Am Motors" were only made and offered in the 1970 AAR Cuda and Challenger T/A's.The T/A motors were the only production triple carb 340's ever made. They had special TA blocks that were thicker and special thicker crankshaft caps that could accept four bolt mains as well as special heads with off set adjustable rockers that permitted porting the heads without going into the water jackets.....so in essence....his motor is a reg 69 340 with a Six Barrel intake....and not a Trams am motor....
FACT 😀 I see it in a lot of these videos, I owned and still own Mopars and especially six pack cars big block and small block since the 1970s. A lot of people do not know what they are talking about with these engines. Just like you stated the TA engine only came in the factory six pack cars and had Provisions for the 4 bolt Main, but none of them had it from the factory. The blocks were stamped accordingly to annotate a Trans Am block and of course they are rare enough today to come across and quite pricey. I am definitely all about accuracy when people speak of the cars I have owned for over four decades and more. Disinformation is no good to the sport, and to like you have seen, I have seen so many Mis statements concerning Mopar cars and engines

Mine still has the riveted rear spoiler you mentioned, however I have no intentions of changing it to look like yours. You have done this to yours and that's okay but to say they look horrible on other cars? I'm not going to judge other cars like that especially since I own one with that original spoiler. The car looks awesome but I would ditch the front fog lights. They don't look right on there to me although I know that's why you put them on there because you are with the AAR theme. My car is set up for the 426 Hemi because it is a former drag car. However I am building a 440 six pack for my Duster. No matter how you decide to build your car, there will always be people that would have done something different. It's best not to say something looks terrible and that's why you changed it. Cars back in that time frame were rough fitting panels from the factory, and had spoilers of many different types on the various Automotive manufacturers. Most of the paint that came out of the factory back in the day had a certain amount of orange peel look to it. I see a lot of people and in fact most people doing basecoat and clearcoat jobs on their cars which makes them look perfectly smooth and beautiful. But this is not how they looked out of the factory LOL. Personal choice being what it is this particular duster with the AAR theme is a beautiful rendition of what Chrysler Corporation really should have manufactured. But I don't think they wanted the little small block in the duster with the six pack running down the Hemi cars at the strip, because it most certainly would have done it. Congratulations on building an amazing and gorgeous Duster
Why do Mopar people not push the 340 its a bad ass engine as good as the SB chevy if they would it be as common as it.the Duster and Demon are over looked and the SB Mopar engines.
