Got to ask why the entrances are reduced this time of year. When a flow is on, I call them honey reducers. I can see reducing them once a dearth begins to slow robbing, but during abundance I don't understand the use.
We don't make honey. We produce nucs and queens. The smaller entrance helps protect the developing nuc. Once large enough we make the opening larger.
