I double-checked the Khan Academy web site, and we were right -- C is indeed correct.

I think a soft rock would be something more like a clump of dirt -- the kind of thing that feels like a rock when you pick it up, but when you squeeze it it breaks apart.
I also thought the word "qualifies" might be confusing here. The way they're using it in this answer choice is more like definition 1a (or maybe definition 2), and definitely not like definition 3:
1a: to reduce from a general to a particular or restricted form : MODIFY
b: to make less harsh or strict : MODERATE
c: to alter the strength or flavor of
d: to limit or modify the meaning of
qualify a noun
2: to characterize by naming an attribute : DESCRIBE
3a: to fit by training, skill, or ability for a special purpose

hi is it important to have a notepad/paper while attempting DSAT english? for maths it's definitely needed, but i have given about 6-7 practice tests for DSAT and still unsure whether i need a paper for the english section.@@345tutoring
