Literally my childhood show!! Both this and TMNT 2012 were my childhood, as well as the 90s movies. The intros for both shows SLAPS! I’m lucky to be a 16 year old to have grown up with this
Shoutout to when i was at limpopo last year or this year after new years and we were watching Nick toons and then it said tmnt was gonna play and i thought it was the 2012 one cuz that played the most. But instead it played this version. I knew that this existed for damn some time so that was really cool and neat
Early weekday morning at the time it was a rare treat. Season 2 was every Sunday morning, 1988-89. It was aired at 8:30am on my Independent affiliate (WDCA) in D.C./Maryland. Season 3 was finally a weekday cartoon played every afternoon, 1989-90. It was aired at 5:00pm. Parts of season 4 and onwards were shown Saturday mornings on CBS, while new eps. were occassionally shown weekdays on local station still. TMNT seasons 1-3 continued to air syndicated (along with occassional new episodes) 5 days a week when the CBS Saturday AM season started in 1990. I think the first 4 seasons kept airing in syndication until USA Network acquired the rights in fall 1993. USA first aired the 1st 5 European Vacation "new" episodes in 1993 as a marathon. This is also when they started airing 4 episodes a day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, and another 2 on Sunday. Also at the same time, it was still playing on CBS Saturdays. So it was aired every day of the week, more than once a day. I was living in Maryland at that time (1990) when a weird cartoon called Rude Dog and the Dweebs that I think used to come on 30mins 5 hours before TMNT.
I can relate. I grew up 90s-early 2000s, back when Saturday morning cartoons were something worth watching. OG Power Rangers too. It was a different time. I want my childhood back, how about you?
I'm currently watching this version of the TMNT (haven't watched it since I was 12), and I have to say, I didn't remember it being this funny and, at times, actually quite dark. The body count in this show is kiiiind of high XD.
Nickelodeon, NIcktoons Network and Paramount+ aired reruns of this last year to coincide with the Nickelodeon Movies/Paramount Pictures movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
Seasons 1 to 7 would always be the best Michelangelo's Nunchucks are much better then his Gripping Hook Mona Lisa should have appeared more often then 1 episode plus it's better then the Red Sky seasons.
Im male german 90s kid and grown up with tmnt but nothing and i men nothing ! beats the original, the german Frank Zander is nice to but dont reach this :) the sync is so awesome
This one leaves memorys i grew up with the 2003 one never this one but my dad would always say this one the turtles in a half shel turtle power and i grew up untill i was 12 genuinly thinking that this one is the into song to 2003
Tried searching this the other day and the one I found sounds like this but newer, literally same song but as if remastered. This is the OG version
Every remake of the TMNT 1987 intro can suck my ass. Nothing’ll beat the original.
Ong
That's a fact jack!!!
@@Max_Toons Agree, when it comes to the look , 1987 one is the best aswell, all other newer series suck ass
This theme was so good that it sold the video arcade. That's all you had to know about TMNT to want to play it.
WE MAKIN’ IT OUT THE PET SHOP WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️

@@jovana-che I know, I’m glad old style is still being passed down, more than I thought anyway. Your a legend to because you here ain’t you 😁✌🏻
This is the REAL theme song for our heroes in the half shell. I hate the new remastered theme. I prefer this version over the remastered version.
Why
@SmirkManNoob it just doesn't have the right feel
@@Sanic55 im 22,but i agree 1000%
WAS THAT THE TURTLES OF 87?
Yes.
@@mikedski9698 I think that was a FNAF joke, as instead of "WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?!" They said "WAS THAT THE TURTLES OF 87?!", get it?
I love that joke

The art style for this tmnt is sooooo good and nostalgic

The original Teen Titans must’ve taken a lot from TMNT (1987).
The proof shows on the 2012 TMNT as a lot of the show takes from Teen Titans.
80’s Was The Best
The 90s too
There were other TMNT 1987 intros made back years ago but Paramount copyright striked the vídeos

Mid to Late 80s into the 90s we had anthroprorphic cartoon heros;
Ninja Turtles
SWAT Kats
Biker Mice from Mars
Street Sharks
Road Rovers
My favorite shows from that time was probably Turtles and Biker Mice from Mars
Secret Squirrel
Nice, I found another version but they cut words for some reason.
Certified hood classic
Growing up in the 80s was great. Wish I could go back and stay there. Hate today’s shows and music.

the sound of our generation's childhood
Nearly a year after Mutant Mayhem I didn’t think I would be so invested in this classic quartet. I streamed the first two seasons of the OG show!
