Although this track wasn't on it, I believe their 1987 album "priest...live!" recorded the concert you were at. One of my favorite live albums of all time. Turbo was kind of a "meh" album, but their tour that year was one of their best.
@Stickle Back It had Freewheel Burning but not Desert Plains. At least not on the original casette version. I think they had a VHS tape that had those extra songs on it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priest...Live!
@Stickle Back No prob, I just remembered because Desert Plains was one of my favorite Priest songs and was always pissed they left it off the album, and put in "Rock You All Around The World" which is probably Priest's cringiest track of all time IMO. lol
@@blakebacarella9445 I don't really agree, a lot of the recordings of the Screaming For Vengeance tour have him sounding very coarse and stiff, sometimes missing notes too. That was a period where he was dealing with a lot of drug use and alcoholism, so there was serious inconsistency to his performances. I wouldn't say that the Fuel For Life tour was a "decline" point, because as we've mentioned, he was ridiculously good on the 1988 dates.
This is the best track at this show. Everything was perfect. His vocal range was fucking absolute perfection. If this doesn’t get you up to shake your ass I don’t know what will. Absolute gold !!!!!! JUDAS FUCKING PRIEST!!!!!
As I grow older I listen to less heavy metal. But I ALWAYS enjoy some Judas Priest. And I realized it's because of JP's strong melodies while keeping the metallic riffs going.
I read in an interview that prior to these string of concerts Rob entered a rehab facility and got really healthy. He wasn’t drinking or doing any drugs. It definitely shows.
My goodness. To this day, I get chills listening to Halford's voice. His tone, his range, timing, everything, true mastery. And what's also so damn great, in addition to Priest being such great music, if you're working out, or just need to get fuckin fired up, man..... Not too much better than Priest.

WOW! Priest is my go to band- always has been- love the riffs and vocals- I love the drummer Don Holland- I was at a show in upstate NY for this tour- My girlfriend had black and blue marks on her feet from the pit up front. It was hard to keep our footing to stand as the crowd swayed and surged back and forth. I GOT A DRUMSTICK thrown at me. It is stamped Don Holland Judas Priest on the handle. I had to fight for it. The fight cleared out a spot about 10 foot in diameter as we rolled around. The stick was snapped in half during the battle- I got the back end- What a show!!! I do not have that girlfriend anymore but I still have that stick! Memories? That one is a diamond!
I've been to 13 Judas Priest concerts. Dave Holland was my favorite Priest drummer with Les Binks a close second. Never knew Dave as Don. Is there something I missed? 🥁 🎤 🎸 🎸
i like it played fast. The Dave and Rob part always gives me chills. I like Scott Travis a lot but Dave Holland had a more unique sound imo. R.I.P. Dave Holland
Scott Travis is a perfect fit for the band. I'm still a fan of Holland's drumming but clearly he was uninterested in going towards a power metal direction that was evident on RAM IT DOWN(the drums were programmed, I believe).

Love this track, possibly the best live version they ever did. I love to play it back to back with Blood Red Skies as per my mix tape of priest in the 80s...good times.
Point of Entry is my second favorite Priest album just behind Screaming for Vengance that is my favorite, very underrated album I dont know why some people hate it, is a masterpiece in my opinion Clearly they speed it up a little bit the song in this live version, the studio version is better in my opinion

No, this tempo is cool. When I first listened the original I thought that this song from the earlier 70's. When I listen this version of song it's sounds like JP which we love
I like this song. A lot. My inner DJ has been playing it off and on recently, so I had to give this a spin. Just bothers me that it's twice as fast as the studio version. Rob's voice is great here. Definitely the height of his vocal prowess. I just think drummer Dave Holland ramped up the speed right at the beginning and this live version just raced by too fast for me. Otherwise great song. Point of Entry was an awesome album. I love Solar Angels a lot. Was the song they opened their sets with for a long time. I saw Priest on the Point of Entry tour. Phenomenal. And that song is a great opening track. They were just grinding on their guitars while their stage elevators lifted them up to where Dave's drum kit was, high above the stage, one elevator on either side of Dave's drum kit. And once they got as high up as Dave's kit, he did those three hits on the hi-hat and they blasted into the song. So badass. Then they walked down these staircases on either side of the drum kit to the stage below. Too cool. Saw them on the British Steel tour, also. Another great live performance.
Bought Point of Entry in high school, on vinyl. Always loved this one, and all of the 4 or 5 times I had seen them. Amazing heavy metal at its greatest!!!

My first of 4 Priest concert tours was Point of Entry and Iron Maiden opened at the Capitol Centre in MD and we had floor seats 10th row close to center and it was a blast! After Maiden finished Steve Harris actually was out in the audience looking for some weed and the place was going wild. He was shaking hands and joking around and after about 5 minutes of Priest high power shaking the place they blew the power to the place and the AC died also and it took about an hour to get everything back up and running and the place got really rowdy as hell!
