Great stuff. Took me a long time to realize that the "iv add 6" chord in the major key is actually the "first inversion of the ii half diminished" chord borrowed from its parallel minor. You took that even further. Loved the additional tritone applications you came up with and their resolutions.
Hey Chris, great lesson as always! It'd be lovely if you would do a video on impressionistic chord changes/ harmony etc. I'd like to get a better sense of what is behind impressionistic music. Thanks!
Beautifully explained! To spice things up further, you could try IV- VIIb7 I it's a beautiful cadence. Improvising a Bb Mixolydian #11 on that dominant is a complete winner!

That's my favourite too! Always reminds me of Layla

Hey Chris, thanks for the great content. I'm hoping your channel blows up, you deserve it.
Thanks Padraig, that means a lot.
Really nice and comfortable
Really interesting!
It seems like the alternative resolutions are all resolving to the chromatic mediants of C
hmmm. yes. coincidence, or perhaps more? that's certainly why it sounds so epic.
