Hey Darren, you just saved my bacon with this video. Just set up a F411WTE in a Zohd Drift (what a squeeze that was) ... Original Zohd 30A esc lite kept beeping rapidly... was unable calibrate using the sticks... Was just about to rip everything out and install a different Esc.... Tried this method and hey presto now working a treat... Thanks Darren 👍
Thanks Darren great Video. I am a long range guy and now that the Eagletree Vector is End Of Life I have switched to iNav. The one glaring difference for me is that unlike ANY other flight controller I have used you cannot just go into a menu and set the battery capacity in the field. I know there are 3 Profiles you can use but seriously as a long range guy I have many different battery configurations that I use and it would be nice just to change the battery capacity in the field WITHOUT having to have a computer with me. Unless I am missing something ?
To be honest, it’s not something I’ve ever checked. I’ve seen profiles in the OSD Menu. But not dove in to see what you can change. I’ll take a look and see if something like that exists. If not, I’m sure it can be added.
I learned something interesting the other day. This is probably all well known. Using a quad ESC on blheli configurator. There where 3 different types main, tail and multi. Switching from multi to main it spools up slower and it's preconfigured for low voltage shutoff braking was different also.
Interesting. I've never seen that before. But I use the BLHeli Suite rather than the Configurator; so maybe it's just in there. Definitely something to watch out for. Thanks :)
Hi Darren, great video. Really glad to have found it. Especially the instructions with the flight controller. Had the problem with the Hee Wing Ranger T1 with 2 motors. Thanks and regards Didi

Hello Darren, Just want to say how helpful all your videos have been for me. Would this issue show up on a turnigy 60am esc attached to a matek 743 flight controller at s2 with a single motor, getting a beep every 2 seconds continually when battery is plugged in????? I'm currently dealing with this now everything in plane works great except motor. Ill try what you showed on this video later today and hope it works. Any suggestions would be helpful.
When I connect and power the ESC and connect PWM wires to my Matek, my "outputs" page fails to let me use the manual control sliders or slide the Motor Test Mode Notice switch, which is grayed out. Does that switch remain deactivated if you don't calibrate your ESC first?
Hello Darren! I have a full setup in my Bushmaster. when trying to calibrate the ESC, I can't switch the safety button when armed. If I disarm, I can go through the procedure, but the ESC continue to beep and nothing happens with the calibration.
Just want to add that turnigy trouble shooting manual says that the constant beep 2 seconds apart says check transmitter and receiver. Doesn't make sense to me. all that is working as designed. Hmm I wonder if i should try plugging esc into s1??
Hi Joe. To be honest, I'm not a quad guy. On mine, DSHOT syncs the motors. I don't believe it has anything to do with the flight controller firmware. Maybe this is done through bi-directional DSHOT, which INAV doesn't support?
You need to find out what is blocking arming. In the CLI, type STATUS and press enter. It will return the codes of anything blocking arming. You can check them here github.com/iNavFlight/inav/wiki/%22Something%22-is-disabled----Reasons
Hello Darren, I got the brand new EDF RC Jet and trying to convert it into Digital FPV plane. I soldered the ESC's power and signal wires to the flight controller. And flashed the flight controller with INAV 6. I calibrated the ESC but the problem is that the motor isn't spinning and keeps beeping every second. On the radio transmitter, throttle min is trimmed at 1000 and max is trimmed at 2000. Any suggestion on how to resolve this issue? Here is the video demonstration of the problem: ruclips.net/video/75uxwvwFWP0/видео.html

When I use a blheli_s /32 esc with dshot should I change the protocol to dshot, or can I keep it standard?
You should change the protocol to DSHOT. You should keep it DSHOT 300 or below.
When I connect and power the ESC and connect PWM wires to my Matek, my "outputs" page fails to let me use the manual control sliders or slide the Motor Test Mode Notice switch, which is grayed out. Does that switch remain deactivated if you don't calibrate your ESC first?
Have you enabled motor and servo outputs?

perfect, thanks!!

Two motors and esc's would be the same procedure?
Yes, its the same.
@@MrD Thanks you
I have the Nighthawk quad running iNav 4.1 with a Matek F722 STD FC - how do I sync all the motors to start at the same time...joe

Got a quick short of a problem I'm having & explanation in comments. My only vid.
I'm have one question ! Is that inav won't spin the motor when no GPS in a Plane ?? when i'm Arm the swicth ..
