They need to keep Ashika Vondel Rebirth Fortuneskeep 4 resurgence maps on rotation/map selection would be there best resurgence selection to date. Ashika is probably the least liked of the 4. And hopefully we get urzikstan and verdansk for BR
Biggest problem is the weather. If it had bright blue skies, it wouldn’t be bad at all.
Maybe it would be better with sunny weather, but it’s fine now and looks cleaner than vondel for sure.
ashika is nice. Love the japanese theme and the music they put in it
it also is better that people can't see you underwater and neither can you see anyone underwater with you. So nobody was pistol camping in water
Fortunes Keep was the map after Rebirth Island. It was there for months. There's a reason they're bringing it back, it's class.

I liked Ashika because somehow it was the only map me and my almost boomer friends could get wins on every once in twenty games.
Yeah Ashika actually was great, better than Vondel for sure.
That point I would make for Vondel, if the many hiding places is what makes Ashika bad, then Vondel is 100x worse. There is so much in the map that I can’t go 0.0000001 seconds without having 20 packets bursts and losses

Rebirth is late spring, as Fortunes is coming back first.
They mentioned this in CODNEXT and their official Instagram group.
I’m assuming Fortunes is first because it never got enough time. It only lasted about a few months or so then was removed when WZ2 dropped, then the servers shutdown.
I’m happy it’s coming back though, even if I have to wait a hot minute for it.

This map was actually great at its launch, it was a little brighter, but when too many streamers were complaining and wanting “weather events” added, the darker colors and fog was added to this map, Vondel, and the sandstorm to Al Mazrah. Probably one of the worst decisions ever. The average/regular player who plays had a huge significant disadvantage with the weather changes, but at least with Cod they rolled them back some but zero changes to this map
I dont mind the color palette, thats just the theme of the map, we gotta be careful complaining about map colors. Remember towards the end of verdansk's life cycle people complained it was so monotone, then they gave us caldera, the green/brown jungle dumpster fire lmao
Also they changed pleasant autumn-vibe colors in Verdansk to garbage sepia instagram filter in Verdansk 84. Hope it won’tbe the case in mw3.
Honestly i liked ashika island. sure it was a little big but the poi’s were really cool and made for some good gameplay. it was just the lack of movement that sort of ruined the experience.

Yeah Vondel and Ashika are both carrying over and I believe Rebirth was said to be “2024”…I WISH Rebirth was coming back that soon , but I do actually enjoy Ashika, far more than Vondel

Ashika will be in New Warzone as well as Vondel and of course the new map Urzikstan and later down the road Rebirth

Sally I’m pretty sure that Rebirth is gonna come back to the game after Fortune’s Keep which is supposed to come out in season 3 so maybe as late as season 4 sadly

Can't really blame them for making it though. At the time they were trying to make new content. With how the COD community was everyone would have complained if they just brought an old map back so they made a new one. I used to hate it at launch but it grew on me alot.

It's the colors, man. If Ashika had the pallet and scheme of WaW/Vanguard castle with Sakura trees and the like, it'd be less drab and boring to play on. It wouldn't fix it's design problems but it wouldn't make me sad to look at.

I think what's most annoying in this map is the underground stuff. It being under most of the area just makes half of the icons in the map feel useless.

The other problem with Ashika is that it attracts sweats. Whether its DMZ or Resurgence people on Ashika like to sweat their face off.
Nah i say vondel is the worst. Actually I played ashika island not that long ago and it's barely foggy like they removed it. But is still a very gray map

The thing that killed this map for me was how ugly it is in general and the amount of 3rd parties it has, just way too many. It also has too little POIs and too much camping
@BestNiggaAlive yeah the movement ruined it as well but still thin it’ll play like trash with mw3 movement, and heah 100% vondel is great imo, it’s easy to navigate the campers and it’s vibrant and has cool pois/buildings, it’s a good size as well imo
