I use liquid lipsticks every day as a base for my lipsticks so even if they’re a dry formula, I go over them with a more moisturizing formula lipstick.
The 2 shades you picked really suit you! I really love Dragon on you. I love liquid lipsticks more due to me having dry lips, matte lipsticks feel dry on me. I love Lisa's true velvet but I find that they are not that long lasting on my lips...I even use her lip pencil too. I can't wait to try these to see how the formula works on my lips.
I didn't like these originally. I expected them to fill in my lip lines like moussey matte liquid lipsticks (that dont dry down) do. But I cant find anything better that is tranfer resistant like these in my collection. The Mented Liquid lipsticks look good as well, but they are soluble in my face sebum/sweat nad thus end up on my chin after a while. So for what they are, they are good. I was surprised that they didn't crumble at all throughout the day. That was really nice.
I really need to pull these out again as the weather warms up and my lips aren’t so dry! They do resist transferring but I didn’t think they were very long wear, if that makes sense? Like, it didn’t come off on my cup but by the afternoon I felt Like they had worn away as much as her Velvet bullet. I’m really glad you’re liking them, Liz!
Thanks for your review. I purchased ribbon and blush. I’ve only used blush thus far and only once. I was disappointed in the wear time. The only other shade I would pick up is jazz as I prefer the liquid lip colour better than the bullet. Next time I apply I’m going to ensure that I have nothing emollient on my lips first to see if the wear time is better. Thx. J.

This is so helpful! I love a liquid lipstick because they are often long-wearing. However, since these don't seem any more long-wearing than her regular bullet lipsticks, I'll just get her velvet lipsticks instead :) Thanks so much for the honest review and you look great in both colors!!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! I personally didn’t find it to have any longer wear than the true velvets, so if that’s why you were considering these I definitely recommend sticking with the True Velvets! (I MAY try using these as a matte blush…)
