  • My friend asked me to fix his overheating issue of this laptop as he was unable to use it without intermittent shutdown or without externally cooling it, I found out the problem as I opened the laptop, Lots of dust. the enemy of computers, please enjoy the video as I try to fix the overheating issue by cleaning all the dust out and giving a thermal re paste to the laptop. cleaning the dust out fixed the problem and my friend was happy.

    Good job. May I suggest showing the temps before then after with CPUID HWMonitor? That would tie the whole video together. Also, why did you use thermal paste underneath the silicone pads? That kind of redundancy is not needed.

      Hi Christian, thanks for your comment, it is a very good suggestion and it is something I will do in the future showing parameters.
      Thermal paste was already on the chipset, they were dried out, I replaced them with new paste.

      I'm missing the measurements as well. It's one thing to see it clean and paste-replaced, but for comparison, it'd be nice to see to what extent cleaning the whole shenanigan helps with the overall heat emitted.

    how do i open prossesor heat sink and gpu heat sink can you tell me how to its hard to open

      If you have the similar model then I would say to remove the fan first, then the CPU heatsink and the GPU heatsink for last. Once you have removed the cooling fan it's enough wiggle room to remove heatsink.
