I really respect when Eric has a more serious conversation about kindness and being more open-minded in the septic of other types of people. Considering his audience might be possibly on the younger side, or at least some of them I think it's a really good example to set.
Wow. There's so many things in this game that I didn't know of, and I've played it more times than I can count!
Like the kids telling you about the scarecrow, the lottery thing, and only one of the giants coming if you play the oath to order before freeing the four of them.
That's so cool! It's why Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game; each time I play it, I discover something new.

but the 3DS version also has a few changes ,so maybe some of these things have been changed as well ? Also I remember that "bank" thingy where you can deposit your rupees usually was on the side of that stairs-area but now its in a different location in clock-town, its kinda confusing to see it there but also fun to see some changes haha

Just had this thought, link totally doesn’t sleep, at all. How is he functioning after three days of straight adventuring, without sleep, and not to mention that he is time traveling, and not sleeping for who knows how many days in the end!
As a legendary hero sometimes you have to make sacrifices, including sleep and food for some reason.

Literally took him an hour. So painful to watch every time he walked past. xD
(Arguably closer to 3 hours if you start counting from when he first beat the boss at the end of the previous stream)
If he hadn't figured out how to slow time, he might have been at risk of the moon crashing and having to do it again.
Eric, at the beginning of this stream you said that you liked how the engine ran a lot like Ocarina of Time. The reason for that is because Majora's Mask is canonically the sequel to OOT. Down to both of them being the same Link. At the beginning of the game when Link was riding his horse through the woods he was on a personal quest to find Navi until Skull kid intervened.

The real question is why does he stop everything he's doing for 10 minutes to acknowledge every little one. At what point does he stop feeding attention to the lowest common denominator in his audience?
@@kendrel.3252 if he reads it he reads it, he obviously doesnt read a message knowing its someone whos spoiling, hes just trying to interact with his chat like hes supposed to do. also i dont think hes used to streaming stuff like this (a blind playthrough of something). so hes used to reading his chat a lot and not having to worry about what hes reading.
also if he doesnt try to tell people to stop then what's the point? not all of the people backseatting are trolls.

Tbh when I was trying to figure out how to carry the princess I prob spent the same amount of time doing that as he did finding the princess ... smh I tried to get a horse and everything, didn't once think her shrub self would fit a bottle ... but you got this crow XD
fun fact: first time I played, I made the exact same mistake in missing the Deku Princess
I noticed her straight away, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to rescue her.
I think I actually had to buy a walkthrough because I just did not realise you could use the sword to cut the vines.
(I then immediately needed the walkthrough again because why the F&%$ would you put a princess in a bottle?)
Eric's reaction to marching with the dog almost made me tear up as well. It's not often that I see a guy having that kind of emotional reaction to something cute so I appreciate that he didn't try to play tough

watching these made me miss majora's mask, but after playing it for a minute i remembered that the reason i couldn't finish it the first time around is bc it's too scary and i am too killable😩
Having only ever watched people play and never tried myself I find that surprising. But also I know for a fact if I played myself I would also get scared and be very Killable. So thank you to the 4 people who also get scared by games like that lol
@@kittin75 i get anxiety about fighting ok,,😭 the second boss music starts playing all common sense goes out the window and the only way i have a chance at surviving is if you can beat the boss by sheer button mash (yes i make other people do difficult bosses for me,,,)
You're half right. Each of the masks has a dead spirit inside it. Deku, goron and zora
The deku? At the beginning of the game link is turned into a deku by skull kid and didnt get the mask of a dead person. (such as the zora and goron) unless skull kid killed the deku who was that tree in the beginning?
@@dejavu3547 yeah that dead husk is the deku butler's son, the skull kid used his spirit to turn us into a deku that's why the butler said that you remind him of his son
@@dejavu3547 During the ending credits you can see the butler weeping to a dead husk of a Deku scrub. This goes back to after complete his little chasing game for the mask of sense. After that he says to you how you remind him if his son. This all means that that scrub is his son and was killed by The Skull Kid so that he could use his spirit to transform Link into a Deku Scrub. That’s how that mask contains a spirit. As for the Fierce Deity Mask and Majora’s , there’s no actual canon story behind Fierce Deity at least. There is though, a non-canon story. This comes from a non-canon Majora’s Mask manga. In this comic, it describes Majora’s as a monster that sleeps in the middle of Termina and terrorizes anybody who passes by. It says that many men tried to slay the beast but, we’re devoured because it’s armor was thick and almost impossible to pierce. It says Majora had ruled the land till one man appeared who went by “The Fierce Deity”. He fought Majora and slayed it with ease and afterwards formed a mask from its hide, which explains Majora’s Mask. For the mask of Fierce Deity? Well you obtain this from Majora which leaves me to believe Majora wanted to redeem itself and fight the Deity again. This is non-canon though so take it with a grain of salt.

After seeing the trailer they released in 2019, the idea of link playing the ocarina while him and Zelda travel seems like SUCH a nice idea :)

ah sweet memories about the deku princess. compared to me he found her far faster. not only did I not find her for a year or two. I forgot about her entirely and beat the whole game long before i realized that cut rope behind me after the boss. you did much better then I did Crow. lol

This game IS dark & also has a ton of interesting psychological nuances to it. It's my absolute fave & I've cried during this game multiple times. When you're finished playing it, research some of the theories behind it, they're fascinating :D I hope you're enjoying this, it's great to watch you work through it as a new player.

3:39:08 yeah thats why I love this Zelda-game the most ,the whole game is kinda just side-quests . I never really liked doing the temples/shrines as they were too difficult for me (and even for my dad but we had always bought the official guide-books anyway haha) and so I was usually just playing random games or running/riding epona around the fields to collect rupees or whatever ,so majoras mask was perfect for me to play around and my dad was doing the difficult stuff haha. my most favourite quest is the one that takes the whole 3 days, with the doorbell where the kid will open the door and run back inside . I just loved following that person haha. though I really love breath of the wild as much, as I can do alot of random stuff and play around, I kinda miss that kind of "you cant go any further if you didnt do/solve this and that first" though its nice having an open world, where you can start anywhere you want, do anything you want to do first etc, but I hope that the next game will be a little more back to "you cant pass this way if you havent done 30 difficult things first" haha..
This version of majoras mask has some strange differences
agreed but it's rendered so beautifully that I'll allow it lol
This version is pretty much entirely superior with the exception of the bosses.

Also, they improved on _plenty_ of things _besides_ the graphics. Come on now.
* Better, more consistent framerate. (30 fps in gameplay, 60 fps in menus.
Compared to the _20 and below fps_ in N64 gameplay, with 30 fps in menus.)
* The Ocarina (and Picto Box) have their own permanent buttons.
(There's also a 4th item slot, both of which means less inventory management.)
* You can freely control the camera.
(Something only the GC Zelda's had up to that point.)
* More gameplay options & smoother aiming/looking.
(You can invert both directions for the 1st/3rd person cameras and
the swimming controls. Even adding motion controls to aiming/looking.)
* The Song of Double Time lets you skip to specific hours.
(Instead of being limited to only 6 am/pm.)
* The Bomber's Notebook is unmissable & more detailed.
(It can keep track of rumors, multiple steps in a quest
and even show little maps for the area they focus on.
Also it has an Alarm system, which is neat.)
* Each of the arrow types can be equipped individually, on their own buttons.
(Meaning less item management/constant pauses to switch between Fire/Ice for example.)
* The Boss warps only require you to have met them to be used.
(Rather than only after beating them.)
Does this version have its own issues? Yea, of course.
But to say something like "the _only good thing_ is the graphics", is simply incorrect.
Is it bad that i clicked on the video and was disappointed that i didnt hear the ticking and tocking of the clock counting down?

To be fair to chat, I did not remember the scarecrow being pointed out so readily. I think the problem is most of us played this when we were little and relied on game guides so we don't know the organic way to uncover it. This was at least my experience
I don't think the Bombers ever mentioned him in the N64 version. They were originally pretty useless. You'd have to at least interact with the scarecrow to find out about it. Although the part about game guides may well be true. It seems many don't know it can be uncovered in-game at all.
Don't know what the hell you are talking about I was in 5th grade and with a bit of critical thinking I figured out this game pretty easily I just lacked the dexterity skill to do it

This game was rushed with re-used stuff. They gave it some kind of spooky atmosphere. It's my favorite zelda of all time. Even though Ocarina is a masterpiece in it's own genre. This one is just so cool and it's rushed creation made it the best Zelda.

3:00:00 Skull kid transformed you in to his son, and when the mask salesman transformed you back, he traped the spirit inside the mask. The spooky tree at the beginning of the game that tatl mentions that is similar to you is his son's dead body.

3D version is better obviously for the graphics and better mechanics but I love the n64 version because of the nostalgia and how creepy the shitty graphics made the game. Not everything was in bright colors and everything was just eerie!
