New Craft Room Welcome Tour!

- Are you ready for the welcome tour of my new craft room?! I'm all moved in and organized enough to show you the basics. I'll show you my island where I store paper, dies, blocks, adhesives, punches, embossing supplies, embellishments, and card patterns. The dresser behind my island holds stamps, ribbon, and more. The shelving holds my paper cubes for cardstock, ink pads, cut & emboss machines, and decorative items. I have drawer units to hold all sorts of odds and ends, and built in shelving with sliding doors for larger items like boxes and tubs. I hope you'll watch along to see tips for organizing your craft room!

Hey girlfriend- you’ve come a long way since we first met at flower factory! I love your new space so much. Gorgeous . . . and that island is to die for! I am a huge fan of basement crafting, myself. My space has always been in my basement for the last 20 years. I can’t wait until mine is ready for a reveal like yours!

I have an idea for under your desk storage. One side a cart to hold items and the other side with pull out boards with magnetic sheets for your dies. Kinda like the spice storage drawers between fridge and stove that they make. You could put a few of them under there and use both sides of them. That would store alot of dies.

I enjoyed the tour! I was just cleaning my scrapbooking room, and wow, does it look better, but still a way to go!! I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years, so I have a lot of stuff!!! I've taken up cardmaking recently, so more stuff!!! It's hard to get rid of things. Fortunately, I have a room dedicated to crafting. Your space doesn't look like a basement at all, as you have so much light coming in! Looking forward to learning more about cardmaking!!

Love your new craft space! With your dies you can take a standard bulletin board and cover with magnet and it looks like a picture frame! I feel if you put it down under your table you could bump them or when you close the drawers some would fall off! Happy crafting!

lovely room....at8:48......use a shelf vertically on a runner and put it parallel to your drawers under your desk..then you can pull it out to see your dies on both sides of the shelf.....secondly I love your deep drawer....however put stuff that you need more regularly in the drawer beneath so your extra surface can be more useful.....off to watch some more.

Love your basement craft room. The pipe shelves are beautiful and I would love to learn more about design and DIY for them! Room is so well planned….. my room is also in basement. I live in Midwest, and keep an election humidistat in room, and I found the temp changes and especially humidity need to be managed closely. I have two dehumidifiers I run in separate areas of our finished basement, one in my craft room….

Brilliant craft room, so much room to be able to keep it tidy and organised. Wish I had a basement to have a craft room instead of having to use my small dining room. You have done a great job.

I'm in northern Indiana! You're not nearby are you? Too bad we can't just find local crafters to craft with!
Amazing craft room. Love all the space and all the organizational space. Your island is great. I love the dresser you repainted, so pretty. The old doors hanging in front of the closet is awesome. The wall that has a window, are those Ikia drawers or are they custom made? I love what you did with the brick on the walls. The brick sure looks better than foundation blocks. When those are painted, they still look like foundation blocks. I love the flooring too. Are you going to finish the ceiling or keep the beams exposed? I would love to have a basement to create a craft room in, but they’re not very popular here in California.
Where did you get the shelf units?
My husband and I made them out of plywood and pipe.
