I thought I regretted buying the A88S Pro, feels heavy and too stiff. Turns out, my grip was too thin, the moment I swap with thicker grip. This racket became a beast in terms of control and smashes. I say its better than AS11 Pro (power wise). Great review from you bro!

Generally, 88D Pro is the head-heavy racquet, which is able to perform better smashing compared to 11 Pro. While 11 Pro is good in quick returns and control compared with 88D Pro.
Can you suggest me a racket since i’m a single player. Which should i choose between AX 88d tour , 88s tour and AX 77 tour. Hope to hear a honest review from you
it really depends on your playing style, if your playing style focus a lot of attacking, perhaps getting astrox 88 tour. If all rounder, maybe can try astrox 77 tour.
Hi. both could works. If you’re a control-oriented singles player, go for the Duora Z-Strike 3U. If you prefer attacking and dynamic singles play, the Astrox 88D Pro 4U is a better fit.
Hi, in terms of power ill pick the Ax88s pro. It’s more solid on power and speed wise. Shots accuracy and control definitely arc 11 pro the best choice.
88s pro is more “all-rounder” than Arc11pro. 88s have more power for smashing than arc11pro, but in terms of control arcs11pro is better, but less power compared to 88s.
is it good for having these 2 rackets for weekend double badminton session, for scenario like "i feel like i want to smash more, so i 'll use 88D Pro, and so on ..." thank you.
The Arc11 Pro is designed for control and precision, perfect for defensive players. Ax88S Pro focuses on power and speed, suitable for aggressive players. Arc 11 Pro is slightly more affordable, while the Astrox 88S Pro is heavier . Ultimately comes down to your personal preferences and playstyle. Hope this will help :)
Hi, how much power difference in smashing would you say between the s and d? 10%? 20%? Sorry im trying to make sense how much different is it and is the D worth the control sacrifice.
Smash wise would say the ball goes further for 88D pro, Angle wise 88S pro is sharper. In terms of power would say maybe around 10% stronger or so cause it is slightly heavier than 88S pro.
Hello. I'm planning to buy Astrox 88d pro but I'm lacking in power in smashing. What string and tension would you recommend?Thank you. I'm intermediate player
BG80, BG 80 Power, 65Ti, 66 Briliant. You may try the tension between 27-29 lbs, depending in your own playing style, example if you are hard hitter, need to choose for thicker string too.
For an upgrade would suggest upgrading to NF800 which have better shot impacts and swiftness due to compact frame and thinner shaft. 88s pro will be slightly heavier so you might get tired quickly when using it. Same goes for 100zz as well but 100zz have the stiffest shaft of all, so will be a very hard feeling when using it. You can try out the racquets first if your communities have those models, best to have a feeling of the racquets first before deciding on it as well 😆
88D Pro in terms of speed, it is still there, not really as sluggish as 99 Pro, still able to have fast rallies and good defence, of course it would be easier with 88S pro instead.
The 88D Pro was too slow in defence for me. Great for everything else. But when I faced a good player who had the old 88s, I couldn't move the 88D Pro fast enough, to keep. So I went for nanoflare 800. Super fast! But it depends on your arms and technique. You might be fine with the 88D Pro. I felt like it was only good for overhead shots.
@@1Flyingfist Thanks for the explanation and review from your end. :) I do agree with what you had mentioned. And yes, Nanoflare 800 is really fast when comes to fast attack, quick drive and so on.
@@vsmashsports Yeah, but then if my timing isn't almost spot on every single time, my smashes lack power from the back. It really is like rock, paper, scissors with these rackets. For me anyway.
Hi, just wondering is the 88S pro 4U heavier than AS11pro 3U? And does the shorter racket length of 5mm affect the timing and contact point by alot? I heard some players can never adjust to the 5mm difference and sold off their racket. I play front court and im considering between AS11pro 3U vs 88D pro 4U vs 88S pro 4U. Do u have any to recommend?
Front court is a easy 88s pro 4U pick and as it suggests the 88s 4U is of course lighter than the AS11 pro 3U. The 5mm longer and 10mm longer is just racket play difference meaning that the sweet spot hit will vary in height or distance. But definitely get the 88s pro over the 11 pro or the 88d pro if you’re looking for a front court racket
I'm beginner player. Start playing badminton from zero less than 1 year. I've tried those 2 racquets. 88d pro is more powerfull, but I feel my wrist not strong enough to handle it and quickly got tired. 88s pro is more comfortable for me. Lighter, faster, and still got the power. So my conclusion is, if you have power, stamina, and want more aggresive play, 88d pro will be a right choice. But if you don't have big power and stamina, 88s pro will be more suitable for you. And don't worry, you will still got good power for smash on 88s pro.
Vt80 3u surely head heavier and stiffer than Ax88d pro on the hand feeling part. The new technology on Ax88d pro helps a lot in boosting the performance on game play. So there are something different between this 2 models.
I am currently using the Victor Thruster F Enhanced in 3U would the astrox 88s pro be more or less powerful do you know :), thank you in advance for any possible response
Astrox 99 pro white tiger vs Astrox 88D pro .. which one would you pick ? I’m playing double more often than single .. but for now i’m playing with 100zz for double.. which one the closest to the 100zz ( power, speed, control ? ? 88D pro or 99Pro white tiger ? I’m typically playing power smash in rear court 🙏🏻
Perhaps you can try these two racquets, Yonex Astrox 88D Pro, will be easier to handle and won't wore you out quickly. If needed can consider Astrox 77 as well, which has higher shaft flex. Hence won't be needing so much energy during your game.
The problems with 100zz are that it has compact frame and very stiff shaft and also head heavy. Those combination can be a burden if you dont have a very good technique. A compact frame and very stiff shaft make it hard enough to generate power and hit the sweet spot. So my suggestion is to try a racket with standard isometric head with medium stiff shaft or stiff at maximum and your preferred weight balance, Or improve your technique, strenght and durability.

Depending on your preference :D normally for standard all round ones we recommend bg66 series. Hard hitters can try bg65TI, Exbolt 65 or aerobite boost, while repulsion type can try for bg66 ultimax and exbolt 63
hello im looking to purchase this astrox 88s pro, what string would you recommend for this racket? im fairly a beginner and doesnt have much power to begin with
Ax88s Pro does lack a little power compare to other head heavy racquets, so a better repulsion type string would be a nice. You can try Yonex Aerobite / BG66 Ultimax
Astrox 88D old still my main racket for now.. but i think i still prefer shorter shaft like yonex muscle power when i borrow my friend's racket.. it feels faster and i can really feel my power when I smash the shuttlecock with yonex muscle power instead of astrox 88D .. i want to change racket that feels similiar to yonex muscle power which has shorter shaft and still powerful when smashing.. should i choose 88D Pro or 88S Pro ? 😖
Muscle power was one of the decent made by yonex. If like shorter shaft maybe you can go for 88s pro. For me 88s pro named as balance racquet but still generate solid and powerful smashes. The shot exactly drop on your desire.
In terms of power wise 88S pro definitely has the edge for power, NF700 will be more on speed. for this we could recommend getting a 4u spec of 88S pro which will be not too heavy to use but still having that attacking power
Astrox 88S pro will be harder feeling and heavier compared to Astrox 77, because the shaft part is stiffer as well plus the increased frame size. Shots wise Astrox 88S pro is more sharp and heavier. Astrox 77 on the other hand will have a more easier time to do your skills and smashes.
@@vsmashsportsi have a few more questions for you. (1) any major differences in terms of performance between 88SP 3U and 4U? (2) do you consider 88SP 3U to be too heavy? I think you would know best since it seems like you have switched to 88SP 4U
@@7jecg It's the same, just the weight is difference. I personally think 3U is heavy for me. Would you mind to share which racquet are you using currently?
@@vsmashsports I was using Arcsaber 11 Pro 4U but I have just recently purchased Astrox 88S Pro 3U because I wanted something similar with more power. So far I have only tried it once on court..... hopefully not a bad purchase.
What string do you use for both of these rackets and what is the string tension? Hope you find my questions and I really look foward to your answers!!😢
Hi vsmash, love your content very much. I would like to ask, between 88spro and arc 7 pro, which is more powerful in smashing and easier in control? I am contemplating between these two atm. Thank you.
Actually in terms of control, Arc 7 Pro is much easier to use, but in terms of smashing, I would think Ax 88S Pro will be more powerful. But Ax88S Pro also quite good in control too.
Both are strong! In my opinion, 88D pro is easier to generate stronger smash, but with proper skill sets, 100zz able to give powerful smashes because of its extra stiff shaft.
yes definitely can for mix doubles, for weight spec wise depending on the weight you are used to playing with, would suggest to for the one that you're used to. 3U will have heavier shots and impact, 4U will have more quick response and control.
yup difference is mainly weight wise, control and smashes will be similar, but definitely 3U spec shots will be heavier and more solid compared to 4U spec. The catch is more strength is needed :D
Hi, for the string and tension you can use back the same which you use normally. As any strings could match all type of racquets. It’s much depends on how do you want the strings helps on your game play. Like control wise you can choose something higher repulsion like Exbolt 63/65, Bg66um, bgabb. Solid and power can go for something hard like 65ti, 80, 80p.
Hi! Great video! I'm an intermediate player mostly playing singles. I've felt my racket is always limiting me and because of budget I've never invested in a more expensive racket. I'm currently using the arcsaber 11 play but I now have the chance to buy a used 88s pro for a good price. Would you say the switch from as11play to the 88spro is a small or big upgrade?
Smashes generally Ax88S Pro will be better and more solid, but drive wise NF800 will be easier and shuttle will travel further with its lightness and sharp frame.
Thanks for reminding that. Included credits for him and did informed him as well! Thanks once again for reminding us and thank you for your support too. :)
As you guys are really good at reviews, I would like to know if the 88d pro is stronger or just the regular 99, I am thinking of buying the stronger one, thanks
Awesome review 👏 I'm personally still using an old Nanospeed 9900 and I primarily play doubles, would like to up my smashing game since I tend to stay on the rear attacking but probably not as powerful as you, think 88s pro will suit me more right? Tension wise what will you recommend? I usually string with BG66 around 25-27lbs
Yea Astrox 88S pro would be suitable. As for tension, personally feels that 25-27lbs for BG66 is good enough, anything higher would highly reduce the durability and requires more strength to get the shots right. 25-26 lbs is nice to play with. :)
For all round play I think Ax88s pro better.. if like you want to choose between Ax99pro or Ax88d pro better go for Ax88d pro. Ax99 pro stiffer a lot, abit tough for defensive shots
@@vsmashsports sorry before, i want asking to u now, i definitely confused to choose 99 pro or 88d pro to change my old racket (its pro ace stroke 333 (2ug4). @@kevinhendrawan7941 The Astrox 99 Sapphire Navy model is indeed a great feeling racquet. Between the two racquets and specs mentioned, if you're going for full on attack and heavy shots we highly recommend can go for Astrox 99 Pro 4U. Although downsides are slower reaction time and defense when it comes to fast plays. Astrox 88D Pro will be a great choice if you're looking for a comfortable game where you can find a middle ground for all shots but without losing it's power and control.
@@vsmashsports but sometimes i like to play drive and go to front to support my partner with more control shot, i think 88d pro more control and fast when i go to front and maybe when i choose 88d pro maybe with 3u version because many review said 99 pro more heavier than 88d pro

hello im looking to purchase this astrox 88s pro, what string would you recommend for this racket? im fairly a beginner and doesnt have much power to begin with
Ax88s Pro does lack a little power compare to other head heavy racquets, so a better repulsion type string would be a nice. You can try Yonex Aerobite / BG66 Ultimax
@@vsmashsports im thinking of using the bg66 ultimax, i usually string at 24 or 25 lbs, do you think i should add 2 more pounds at the cross? (24x26)
@@vincentc401 Not recommended. Remain as the one that suits you better.
I have used many rockuets but for me the best is Astrox 88S thats the good one 88d is little bit heavy for me
yes sir. AX88D is more suitable for attacking and back court player and hard hitters. AX88s is more enjoyable for control and defends ;)
@vsmashsports yes but actually 88s also was very good at smashing
@@amirtemur2236 yes agreed with that :)
@@vsmashsports terimakasih banyak atas penjelasannya bang .. baiklah mungkin saya harus ambil yg AX 88S Pro 🤩
Hi Vsmash,How does 88s pro compare to nf700 in term of power. I'm looking for more power racket but not too heavy any suggestion?
In terms of power wise 88S pro definitely has the edge for power, NF700 will be more on speed. for this we could recommend getting a 4u spec of 88S pro which will be not too heavy to use but still having that attacking power
Have you used the astrox 77 before and how does it compare to the 88s pro?
Astrox 88S pro will be harder feeling and heavier compared to Astrox 77, because the shaft part is stiffer as well plus the increased frame size. Shots wise Astrox 88S pro is more sharp and heavier. Astrox 77 on the other hand will have a more easier time to do your skills and smashes.
@@vsmashsports thank you!!
If 88spro compare with nf800 which one is faster and generate more power? Thanks for your advice
Nf800 is faster. Ax88s pro more powerful
May i ask, if i were to buy a yonex racket with light weight, speed, and easy handling which one should i go the nanoflare 800 or the 88d
Between this 2 you may go for the nf800 which more suitable on your request
@@vsmashsports are there any other yonex suitable of my request?
@@godwinpatrickm.aguilar3146 you can opt for Nanoflare 700 as well or Arcsaber 7 pro
@@vsmashsports in overall is the nanoflare 800 most suitable of my request or not?
Astrox 88d vs Astrox 99, which one would u pick and why?
Ax99 with more solid attacking play
Any major differences between the 3U and 4U of 88SP?
Hi, the major difference is the weight. Both weight also slightly head heavy.
Exbolt 63 & Exbolt 65 at tension 27
Which is stiffer the 88s pro or the 88d pro and which is easier to play?
ease of play would say 88s pro as the feeling is slightly less stiff compared to 88d pro and more flexible to cope with more playstyles
@@vsmashsports thank you for your feedback.
Any review for astrox 77?
Ax77 will try later :)
Nice info need more content about yonex or li ning product..harap konsisten keep it uppppp
Thankss. Will try our best!
Bro alex saya mau tanya , Nanoflare 700 / astrox 88 S pro lebih enak buat smash , defend , drive?
Defend nf700 better. Smashes and driving Saya rasa Ax88s better. H
In your testing,
Which is stronger, astrox 100Zz or astrox 88dpro?
Both are strong! In my opinion, 88D pro is easier to generate stronger smash, but with proper skill sets, 100zz able to give powerful smashes because of its extra stiff shaft.
Are you still using ax88sp? Any update on the feel after so many months
It's still feeling good.
in mixed double can the man use 88s pro for control, if yes which types will u choose 3u or 4u
yes definitely can for mix doubles, for weight spec wise depending on the weight you are used to playing with, would suggest to for the one that you're used to. 3U will have heavier shots and impact, 4U will have more quick response and control.
Tq for rewie this racks. Always we will support
Thank you for your support!
Does 3u racket and 4u racket have much difference aside from their overall weight?
yup difference is mainly weight wise, control and smashes will be similar, but definitely 3U spec shots will be heavier and more solid compared to 4U spec. The catch is more strength is needed :D
How your recommend type of string for 88s pro ? Now im currently using 88d pro with bg98 and tension 28. Ask for suggestion . Thank you
Hi, for the string and tension you can use back the same which you use normally. As any strings could match all type of racquets. It’s much depends on how do you want the strings helps on your game play. Like control wise you can choose something higher repulsion like Exbolt 63/65, Bg66um, bgabb. Solid and power can go for something hard like 65ti, 80, 80p.
String and tension of both the rackets please!
the racquets string and tension as below :D
Ax88s pro nbg95/26lbs, Ax88d pro nbg98/25lbs
how 88S PRO compare to Arcsaber 11 pro? which one u prefer?
For strength and power wise Ax88s pro greater. Accuracy and control arc 11 pro.. Drive, jap and long defense shots Ax88s pro.
Bang fortius 11 power sama 88 d pro, ppwer swing bagus mana
maaf kami kurang familiar dengan fortius 11. cuma yang kami tahu keduanya head-heavy, powerfull racquet dan bagus untuk attacking
Hi! Great video! I'm an intermediate player mostly playing singles. I've felt my racket is always limiting me and because of budget I've never invested in a more expensive racket. I'm currently using the arcsaber 11 play but I now have the chance to buy a used 88s pro for a good price. Would you say the switch from as11play to the 88spro is a small or big upgrade?
in terms of solidness and power, you may consider 88s pro. racquet swings and maneuverability are much more faster
Hi, which is better for smashing and drives, nf800 or ax88spro?
Smashes generally Ax88S Pro will be better and more solid, but drive wise NF800 will be easier and shuttle will travel further with its lightness and sharp frame.
Hello I have question , are 3u badminton rackets more durable than 4u?
durability wise 3U is indeed will be more durable than 4U specs, as it can withstand higher tension than 4U
Very very good tq so much..
Thanks for watching! :)
As front court player..which is better 88S pro or 88D pro ? Tq
For front court player, 88s pro would be better, it swings faster as compared to 88d pro
i have the 88s not pro. which is better as the all rounder than pro
If all rounder, 88s pro would be more all rounder. ☺️
Can i know astrox 88d pro 4u and 3u different?Basically i am a attack player
3u is more heavier of course better and heavier smashes. 4u better with driving and control compared to 3u version.
what string and tension did you test on 88d pro
Someone else asked this too, they replied they strung it at 25 lbs with nbg98
Can I use 88d/s pro for singles
Yes, all kind of racquets suit for both single and doubles
Some of your pics are from CK Yew, pls give him some credit, love your review
Thanks for reminding that. Included credits for him and did informed him as well!
Thanks once again for reminding us and thank you for your support too. :)
As you guys are really good at reviews, I would like to know if the 88d pro is stronger or just the regular 99, I am thinking of buying the stronger one, thanks
@@frostraider8280 thank you for your kind words. In terms of power, I do think 99 will be stronger.
Thanks Frost! 😊
How about AX88SP 3U5???
88s pro 3u is like something heavier. Feels still the same but heavier only.
@@vsmashsports Are smashings stronger than 4u
@@nguyenhoaibao7244 Smashes are relatively similar but 3u smashes will have a little heavier feeling.

Hi bro, string apa you pakai for the 88s? Looks and sounds good eh
Hi, it’s been some time. If not mistaken was nbg95
@@vsmashsports yeah.. a year plus wei.. alright thank you.. need to try this string 😂😂😂
@@kuminezz You're welcome!
Which is have a better power 88D pro or arc11 pro?
power wise 88D pro will be better overall
astrox 7 vs astrox 88d game which one is best plz help me
they are both roughly the same ya just that the cap is different only. but attack wise maybe astrox 88d game is better a bit
What is 88S Pro string?
88S pro using NBG95 at 26lbs, 88D Pro using NBG98 at 25lbs.
Bro, for all round and recommendation, axt 99 pro or axt 88d pro?
For all round play I think Ax88s pro better.. if like you want to choose between Ax99pro or Ax88d pro better go for Ax88d pro. Ax99 pro stiffer a lot, abit tough for defensive shots
@@vsmashsports sorry before, i want asking to u now, i definitely confused to choose 99 pro or 88d pro to change my old racket (its pro ace stroke 333 (2ug4). Now im just playing double, rarely for playing single. I want your recommend for me. I just watching review abt 2 product and i was played with astrox 99 2nd gen (blue gold seraphine) and i was liked it, so if you have a time, please reply this comment. Im very need your recommendation.
88d pro (3ug5) or 99 pro white tiger (4ug5), because i like head heavy racket too.
@@vsmashsports anw i appreciate your reply ! Thank you so much
Good review. I will try 88S Pro Coming soon
Nice! Thank you!
is the 88s pro good for singles
Well, 88s pro can be a single players racquet, but it will lack the attacking power.
boss boleh explain lebih tak pasal sweet spot 😅
Sweet spot untuk dua dua racket ini agak besar dari racket biasa. Jadi senang untuk main dan pukul shuttle untuk kenanyakan skill dan smash. :D
is the 88d pro 4u suitable for teenagers?
Yes if like you have enough strength on it
how is it compare to arcsaber 7 pro?
heavier and more power compared to arcsaber 7 pro
Nice review.i will buy 88spro
Sure thing :D glad you have figured out your choice of racquet
Suitable string for 88s pro?
you may need more repulsion for 88s pro. u can try bg66 ultimax / aerobite
@@vsmashsports ok, thanks for ur recommendation👍🏻
If i play with 3U all this while, is this the right racket to switch to 4U?
Hi, may I know you’re using which model 3u? So could advice on it
What tali paling sesuai bos?
Untuk tali, kami akan suggest ambil balik tali yang anda sudah biasa :D. Tapi kalau nak main attack boleh cuba Exbolt 65 atau bg80, control boleh pilih Aerobite atau bg66 series.
Can you pls compare arcsaber 11 pro to astrox 77 red ?
Ax77 is head heavier better for steep smashes, meanwhile arc 11 pro better on soft touch and control shots, even better in shots accuracy
