It may be a bit boring for young people (unless they watch it to fall asleep). Also a lot of people think opera is 100% fine art, but it isn't because of textual simplicity. So, overall it was a pop culture of previous centuries

Recitative = filler/story advancement . Minimal orchestration as background. Aria = orchestra and singer both convey deep emotions and struggles. The arias are what you go to hear. The recitative tells you his wife died. The aria reveals his agony and sorrow.
this is a great video, it helped me understand music more. Why does people not appreciate these types of videos?
