I had to lower the volume when the professional opera singer performed. It really shows they use an specific vocal technique to project their voice and be heard without using a microphone. Opera singer are underrated they are so skilled
What you’re mentioning is called voice placement. The ringing of sound comes not from yelling but from placing your voice in the correct spot. Your skull have air sinuses where when placed sounds, they resonate. You sing wuth open throat to open up these areas. Lower darker notes resonate deep inside like sphenoid sinus. Brighter notes move toward more forward sinuses like ethmoid sinuses. Brilliant notes goes farther forward and higher from nasal cavity to maxillary sinuses and frontal sinuses. I’m a baritenor and I feel the vibration in my nose and maxilla while my teacher, a soprano, describes the sensation as singing with her eyes, which means she goes as far as maxilla and frontal sinuses.
@@Ori0987 you usually don't most of the time. But the first where you can feel it is where you try to make low sound Ooooo and it rolls behind the back of your throat where throat connects the nose, just behind your uvula. The placement will be more forward when you go higher. But first you must learn to sing with open throat. Say Aaaa the way you yawn and feel the air chills the back of your throat, the area described above. Always feel this area open when you sing. Then try to sing higher notes and feel the vibration placed more forward to your nose and maxillary sinuses and keep going higher. You will most likely need someone to tell you when it first happens though so you know that you've just done it correctly so you can replicate it the next time. People around you will know it happens because it echos. The voice projects really well. But you won't. You're already listening to your own voice with your bones. Someone must tell you, then you try to replicate it.
What fascinates me is whenever Brett is singing, you can still see Senna constantly moving her chest and stomach to his voice. I’m not sure if it’s just subconscious or it’s her to way physically express herself when he’s singing (like how someone moves their head to the beat of a song) either way I think it’s cool :)
i noticed that too! i was thinking that it was more of her muscle memory trying to tell brett, “you’re doing it wrong, this is how it’s supposed to be” because i do it too lol
I'm a professional cello player, and when my students are playing a piece I've played before, I kind of move/make the facial expressions I make when I play while listening to them. It's definitely subconscious, because when you've memorized a piece, so has your body. The same phenomenon happens when listening to a piece of music you're familiar with. It's like your body pretends that it's on stage.
Definitely subconscious. I am a classical vocalist and every time I watch other vocalists or am listening from a neighbouring room; even if I am busy doing my own work I subconsciously start analysing their technique by listening to the sound they’re creating and where the sound is coming from within their body. An hour will pass and I start wondering why my core is so tired and it’s because I have been breathing and positioning my diaphragm with them. It’s a real full body workout and yet still no rock hard abs for me.😂
Actually i wonder how she maneges to sing Alcina at the same time as Carmen. Alcina is for a light lyric soprano and Carmen for a mezzo soprano... Even if the technical is quite good, the 3 sheets were sung with the same technical, whereas you should not sing Haendel as you sing Gounod... as you don't play bach's violin like brahms...

I read this as "give Corpse some credit" and instantly imagined Corpse Husband trying to sing this.
Singer is too beautiful to be true, she looks like a living painting
Ok *S I M P*
@@loliprison7759 Yeah. Recognizing and praising someone beautiful is now simping.
@@loliprison7759 yeah complimenting someone is now called simping.
@@cross1800 its really sad though! You can't compliment anyone without getting called terrible things.😞

Brett must be like "Yeah i can't even screech that high on a viola"
What do violists and DJs have in common?
They are good at scratching
? Obviously he can ... swallow her entire range whole.
I thought you play ViOliN I tOoK you to violin classes what u mean Violah
OMG IM CRYING 😂
Why do people hate on viola
1:56 to 2:20
we can technically see her laugh so hard about Brett’s singing lol
Oh poor baby seagull, he’s so desperately calling for his mum!
😂
PLSSSS💀🤚
Brett sings like it.
I was just thinking about that too😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best comment.
He looks confused as hell when she’s singing, almost like he doesn’t want to be there. 😂
Brett always looks like that
Brett always looks like that.
Hah started the chain
Brett always looks like that
Brett always looks like that
He went to bed and slept like a baby, then woke up there. Ofc he's confused.
Her range though… not the musical range (which was impressive)..her emotional range while Brett sang, turned from empathy to pity to having to trying to hide her laughter
😂...im sorry, but standing next to this beautifully bright, energetic, lovely girl just makes Brett look like he desperately needs some nutritional meals, vitamins, a shower and a good nights rest...😂
Shelby Fries chill. Poor guy
the difference between vocalists and instrumentalists in a nutshell
aisling gill me and my gf in a nutshell gf beautiful, talented and has a beautiful singing voice vs me a ugly violinist with no talent even after practice 40 hrs a day for 6 months straight 😂😢
Brett baked asf
Danmmmm ajjajajaj so funnu yet so true
When she is holding her laughter, that is the funniest thing😂
adani ahmad i feel so bad for brett but this video is gold!
@@emmelineleng1291 hahaha.. at least he is trying his best👍🏼
That’s a little creepy but true
Tying to hold yea?
I love how they feel the need to add the words “professional” and “beginner” when each of them sings. As if we don’t know 😂😂😂
It's like we didn't know that the one in the white hoodie is the professional smh 😒😒
Hahaha
We all know Brett is the professional smh
Probably for deaf viewers.
I was hoodwinked into thinking Brett was the beginner. It’s so clear he has so much experience. That pitch! That voice! It can slay ears. Mine are slain.
She's holding back her laughs when Brett is going. Not me, I'd be on the floor.
How I think I sing when I am drunk vs how I really sound.
How i think i sing **normally** vs how i really sound.
Underrated comment

2:00 brett is so inspiring and emotional, the professional opera singer is literally in tears
either that, or Brett was in so much pain & it showed so much in his voice that she started to feel it too
Haha!
LMAOOOO
@@brie1512
I’m going with both of those explanations XD
This comment made me laugh with tears
Brett sounds like a hungry baby bird waiting for his momma to come and feed him.
