Seemingly rude by your own western standard not chinese cuIture..embrace the difference…u cannot judge from your own bubbIe..they mostly will see u as different because they know u have different cuIture and they have to respect the boundaries, it’s normal but they will treat u as equal and respect Meanwhile, in the US, they will accept u as well, but see u as inferior not as equal…. One is just their cuIture, they talk about what they see vs the US is rcism…learn the difference
The older gentleman wasn’t being rude at all. He was genuinely intrigued and really tried his hardest to relate to Thommy. Although it may seem rude, all he wanted to do was learn and speak to a person from a very different background.
