After playing ABI for a week straight - logging into Tarkov and trying to play feels like a torture. It's like you've been digging for years with a plastic spoon and some Chinese dude just gave you the keys to some CAT excavator instead.

@@ScrumpDiIIy Why would you team up with random players except for a few quests? There's an automatic team finder toggle, just switch it off. Also, not like being in a squad stops you from doing your own thing
In ABI queueing with randoms is an opt out, in Tarkov it doesn't exist, either you have friends or you're solo. Tarkov doesn't have teams or squads, it's a bunch of players playing coop instead of PvP, there's no actual team. In ABI if a teammate retrieves your gear after you die you get it right back

Back when print gaming journalism was prominent, there were good articles. Most of the older generation of journalists have left the gaming field. I've noticed this trend in German gaming journalism as well.

Tarkov was created unnecessarily difficult so they could sell you the basic functionalities of the game as "upgrades"
and because the playerbase is streamers who play games for 18 hrs a day. so no normal game functions will work, because they will exploit it the first day. they modify the game based on streamers experiences......that should tell you enough.
Realism means when a boss is close by, your gun jams......

@@borgKick allegedly, yes, because Nikita wants you to die and cope after loosing everything, even loosing the chance that boss finaly spawned in your raid 1 out of 1000 times. But yes, your gun can jam in 5-ish different ways, all of them are fixable via push of the button and they are random. Even when you shoot the gun and its barrel overheats (some guns for some freaking reason don't care that their barrel is melting by the way) the cause of jam is not that the gun is on fire or it blew up because of the stuck bullet in the barrel and you shot it next time, no no. It's just case failed to eject through the window.
People was complaining about altin-360-noscopers with 50 kg bunkers that they stuck in their guns instead of the magazines, and BSG just made that those guys will RANDOMLY jam on you. I never seen those types of players dying due to overheat, but I've seen plenty of others dying because gun just decided to jam. And you can't prevent it other than buying a pristine rifle.
It's when you get hit by the new streets boss in melee his baton breaks your gun yes
@@borgKick yup, there is a boss in tarkov (kollontai) who will give Ur gun a 100% jam chance if he gets close to you, it will always jam again so the only option is to pull out your knife and melee him 😂😂 "hardcore realistic shooter" btw
In Arena Breakout mobile beta there is a mechanic that all guns has "gun jams" but they removed it so everyone can focus on the fight rather than realism
The fact that it literally took less than 3 seconds to enter the raid after he showed the combat supplies error is fucking hilarious.

I am not sure he actually did played the game since first couple missions are tutorial that can't be skipped. Plus he might have used tier 1ammo, that's why it took him time to kill bots

Playing Tarkov makes me feel like I'm performing data entry with all the clicking. We all spent more time in our "stash" than playing the game. And don't get me started about the long load times. But we only have ourselves to blame for putting up with Nakita's torture treatments for a decade.
It's not like there was a viable alternative. Now that there is, some people complain it's too similar. Just can't win with some dudes

@@Wattermelondog On mobile theres a lot of alternative but theres only 2 good ones. Arena Breakout and Badlanders but sadly badlanders is third person shooter and the sound direction is just horrible. From many i tried AB is the real competitor in my opinion

You forgot to mention the queue time difference. Pretty meaningful I'd say. At least for those of us who would rather play the game than waste 10-20 min of our lives in a queue before every raid. If anything, I'd say thats the most meaningful part.

Last time I played, which was I think the lighthouse patch, queue times were like 3-5 minutes. Amazing how far the game has fallen since then.
One of my biggest gripes with tarkov. Time between raids is ridiculous. I used to be lucky to get 2 raids complete on a week night.

The graphic problem in Tarkov gets worse when you just watch some clips from singleplayer mods, they look so much better than the online game and these modders could not change anything basic on the programm. With their irudimental possibilitys they still could make it so much better that prov es that it is not limited by the Engine.
What's even worse, to compete in absolute sweat tarkov is you need to mess with post fx and make tarkov look like absolute abomination in other to spot anything lol

People who said the game is just a port has not played the mobile version, this is not in mobile version, hell even the reload while running is not in mobile, recoil work differently in mobile, maybe the dev has limitations on mobile but they goes crazy for the pc version, all the thing they unable to add on mobile they add it to pc version. This just show that good dev got limited when it comes to mobile

Nikita had a gem of a game. Instead of fixing and finishing it, he made arena. Something no one wanted or asked for. Everyone knew or should have known tarkov gunplay isn’t good in a fast paced arena style environment. It’s probably the clunkiest shooter out there because of inertia. Then when arena failed he fucked the actual game with unheard edition because he needs money after the arena dumpster fire. How did this happen lol

Weapon buy/ assembly alone is such a blessing! I always liked those games like tarkov and such, but I was NEVER interested to learn weapon building in real life because thats what it feels. To each his own. But this all feels soo tedious. Arena did a great job there

A lot of the QoL changes ive noticed are the same things Veritas talked about ages ago with things like the map and indicators for your allies and letting you know when you're missing gear when loading into a raid. When you're supposedly role-playing as a professional military contractor it only makes sense to have QoL. The only way having all of the tedious issuse makes sense is if you are already military trained and know exactly what to do which this game isn't necessarily for those people.

Lore wise PMC in Arena Breakout actually not cut off from the outer world. Kamoona were Torn apart by civil war and the government hired the PMC (player) but after they lose the civil war, the PMC searching for fortune in post civil war kamoona. Unlike tarkov who just wanted to survive Arena Breakout PMC is seeking Fortune so the looting is actually make much more sense if you think about it

It's like someone asked Mike Stubbs to tell them he doesn't play either game without telling them he doesn't play either game.
As to the content in ABI, Even the mobile version isn't up to date, The CN version is 4 seasons ahead of the EN version. CN has M249 and RPD including modification of them both modernization for the latter. Also RPG's and working bipods/mounting. Literally content for years. Game's gonna cook. Even certain COD people (not streamer) are interested in it something Tarkov could never do unless modded.

7:30, you forgot you have to unlock modding and presets in the hideout, so even if I have the parts and know how to put them together, I'm gated from doing so and forced to use the inspect window. I spent an hour just making guns in ABI cuz that's what is fun to me, but I have to jump through multiple hoops to do the same in Tarkov lol it's unreal

As someone that briefly tried Tarkov and didn't like it, ABI has been a blast. They could launch tomorrow and it'd be a more complete game than Tarkov after 8 years of Beta. Insane.
Omg I can't believe this is finally being outed. I read this article the same day it was posted, and I kept posting comments asking the author how much he was being paid that he was straight up lying and that anyone who wanted proof to simply go shoot a gun in Tarkov then ABI and see which one has more "punch". The comments kept getting deleted within minutes. Side note: I lost my damn mind laughing when Erotik was talking about how Tarkov is gonna kick you to the main menu with an error code when building a gun and when you come back the parts are just scattered randomly in your inventory as if a bomb went off. Out of everything Tarkov has made me hate it for and rage for, the fucking error when building guns and then blowing the pieces in my inventory was def the one I hated and encountered the most.
Arena Breakout Infinite does only two things worse in my opinion, one is that spawns are not synced (players are not spawning in at the same time, but instead some are in faster which is unfair for bad PC users), other one is weird grenade throwing which is just annoying. But granted, it is just a beta and those are easy things to fix. Literally everything else is better than Tarkov.

theres a lot to improve on every extract eventhough lm not actively playing anymore but the memories of forgetting to pack a cms or gear properly up in eft are some unique ones that I‘ll never forget
The article was very short but the point is a good one. Arena does do some things better than tarkov. Loading times, server stability, UI, packing mags outside of the inventory screen... And that's about it.
Things tarkov does better.
* Atmosphere (night raids and weather)
* Economy (loot actually matters. It's clear ABI's economy was created with p2w in mind. No one has noticed it yet because in the beta they're giving you a free secure case and key tool, and a ton of Koen. When that's not the case people are going to realize the entire game loop and economy is designed around p2w)
* Guns (tarkov has over 2x as many)
* Calibers (tarkov has 2x as many)
* Maps (Tarkov has 10, ABI has 2)
* Character skills (ABI doesn't have this)
* Hideout to upgrade (ABI doesn't have this)
* Quests (Tarkov has 200+, ABI has less than 60, and ABI's are very rudimentary)
So the article headline is true, Tarkov is better at everything meaningful. If you weren't in your fee fee's over this your admit it's true.
SUMMARY: watch just the first minute of this video
I love that he accidentally proved how much better matchmaking is. Tarkov 10 minute just to find a raid. ABI 1 second to find 3 teammates 15 seconds to get into raid.
