    hi everyone! welcome back to my channel! in this week’s video, I talked about why we should all be journaling and how it’s beneficial for all of us and how to journal. I was planning on making this video for awhile and tbh idea why it took me this long to actually make it here ya go! at the end, journaling can be a difficult start. since it is weird to just suddenly write all your raw emotions onto a piece of paper. you also need to develop this sense of trust with your journal as well which takes time to develop.

    I’m a very imaginative person, I recently started writing out my daydreams to help ground me in reality. Journaling is basically free therapy, and being a person that cannot afford therapy, writing down every thought and feeling helps me so much. It has become very easy for me to just vent into my diary, but tbh when I first started it was so hard. What you said was sooooo true. It does not have to be pretty, because emotions are messy, it’s very important that you put them down on paper, to help you process them better☺️

      I'm more of a visualize daydreamer! How exactly do you write your daydreams and find a way to put it on paper? That sounds so interesting I also wanna try doing it

      @@jia7969 So I own two books that I write in. One is my diary that I use for venting/ literally anything I want, and my other book I call it the book of fictions. (I am a terrible writer, so don’t even be embarrassed if you do try this and when you read it back it’s just cringey and awful, so are mine:) The book of fictions is for your dreams, no matter how fantastical no matter how similar to reality they are, you write em in there. And I mean it’s limitless, I’ve written about insanity, murder, love, adventure, even poetic pieces. And I don’t think I’d ever go back and read them, but you put ‘em down on paper to get them out of your head. Don’t be ashamed of what you write. As long as you’re sure absolutely no one will read it. Sorry if that’s not helpful 😅 but basically once you start thinking about a story just open your book and write it out. You don’t have to be detailed, you don’t have to be good at it, and it doesn’t have to be pretty (but it can!). You deserve to be free from your mind, the world around you is beautiful and waiting for you to see it! Let me know how it goes 😘

      I had writer’s block for almost a year; started writing down my daydreams a few months ago and now I have a 67,000 word doc

      It really is like therapy, I had a thought earlier (I'm starting my first journal today so I've been thinking about journaling) my though was about how you can process your emotions if you have them all down, it's also easier to keep track of them and it's a good outlet for your emotions, therapy is mostly breaking down those emotions and figuring out how to deal with them and why to deal with them

    I was listening to a podcast that said it’s important to live life by design over emotions. Basically as humans we tend to default to our negative emotions and avoid challenges. Developing a routine is key for maintaining well-being, especially when dealing with mental health (OCD for me).
    For me, adopting activities like exercise, journaling, and studying, involved embracing a strategy of consistent mediocrity. This helped me build discipline and avoid burning out, and self hate. Sharing my progress on RUclips has been a way to hold myself accountable and track my journey.
    Historically I had a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give consistent mediocre effort frequently. And it’s crazy how it adds up.

    i find that journaling is a way to process what i’m feeling in a very safe and controlled environment. sometimes it’s hard for my hands to catch up with my brain, so slowing down and actually thinking about ways to articulate what i’m feeling in a way that i’d understand later is super helpful. it’s also really cool to look back on stuff, even if it’s shitty in the moment.
    don’t throw out your journals!! they’re cringe sometimes, but damn do they bring me so much nostalgia nowadays. i wish i’d treated my art the same way.

    Yess journaling helps so much! I started writing in my diary when I was 12 and am 22 now, so I have like half of my life written down. it is SO insightful to look back on my life and see how much I've improved in coping with certain things or worked towards my goals and so on. I feel like I'm literally dependent on my diary now lmao

      Same but I started when I was 11 I'm 15 now 😄, and journaling is really healing, venting your emotions, and writing your day and stuff ❤️

      wish i had started early on, i was too lazy and i find it so hard to stick doing a thing, even now. i’m 22 this year and would like to start journaling, am very much nostalgic.

    journaling helps me to be more conscious about myself, it helps me to be vulnerable and build genuine relationship w/others. i like referring myself as another person when i journal. when i see myself as another person, i realize that i treat myself more kindly and gently. my journal is my safest and most understanding friend. you can update with this friend with your boring, exciting, saddest, and other forms of moments without judgement. thank you for this video, via! take care always! xo

    I've been journalling for about a year now and everything you mentioned felt so right. For me, I think I have adhd so writing things down, especially when I'm feeling overwhelmed and my brain gets too loud helps to organise my thoughts. Your channel feels like what I imagine having an older sister is like❤️

    I just started journaling about a week ago. I thought it would help in addition to my therapy sessions. Ive fpund it difficult because i cant decide what to put down.....but the idea of writing to update a friend is helpful! I like the idea of asking myself prompts to dig in more, similar to what my therapist does.

    everything you said in this video is so real. i wanted to journal for so long now but this thought of 'perfect and neat journal' killed me all the time, i literally didn't start journaling for 3 years just because of this reason. but i did, i started journaling and it's been two months. honestly, i was same in the start as only writing the good things because somewhere in my mind i was scared and just couldn't admit my emotions but as day passed by, I've overcome this anxiety and fear of it being the perfect journal. i will be improving even more.     I think this is a really important video because there are so many people who struggle with journaling. You got me started journaling this July. I saw one of your videos and you said that it really doesn't matter what your journal looks like as long as you write your thoughts out. That blew me away because I've always struggled to keep a journal because I felt like it has to look ✨aesthetic✨ like one of those Pinterest posts. Now I keep a really messy journal, but I use it every day and it helps me soo much ♥

    I used to journal all the time and it would really help my mental health, especially when it’s at its worst. And recently my mental health hasn’t been the best and this video made me REALLY want to start journaling again. I think journaling is so important and I hope more people journal.

    Journaling is about giving your love through your words to the page. It’s similar t giving your love to others by telling them how you feel.

    I have been journaling for over 10 years and something that has been super helpful for me is using my journal when I'm mad. Like when your friend has done something to upset you and you need to vent, but you can't bring it up with the person yet, journal. Say the mean angry stuff in the journal. Its private, no one else will see it, let yourself be mad. Then, when you've calmed down, you can actually work it out with the person who upset you with out saying things that are just out of anger.

    Main reason I started journaling: We go through something special everyday. Whether it be the people we meet, our experiences, feelings, thoughts, goals in life. Every single day is different and I want to be able to look back and read and remember every little moment in my life, even if it as mundane as walking through a park on a sunny day. Otherwise those moments in life are just forgotten and never thought of again. That was my main motivation but now I also use it to express myself.

    ive always thought that it's difficult for me to admit I feel a certain way and you talking about it like that made me realize "yeah, maybe it was shame" This is why I overanalyze my emotions bc i dont wanna admit it. I keep finding a reason to make what I feel seem valid (I know it is, im working on it) Ive been journalling for a long time and even until know there are thoughts and emotion, I refuse to write on paper and materialize, even though I know thats the truth. Although I know I have every right not to write about it, it still shows how difficult it is for me to admit it even just to myself. I'm working on it lmao. Listening to you speak your mind like this help me piece things together in my brain. thank you.

    Interesting for me journaling is a bit different like I literally just scribble with a pen so its not legible spelling is off and all. I just like processing it all a weight lifted off cause I think about a lot of things and keeping them in my head writing them down just lightens creates more space like clearing the storage on your phone. I think there is also illustrated journal I want to do more of where you write raw what you did (I tend forget so its nice to see) just journaling I think is more personal but also I just write what I am excited about. I feel people are like you need to write down deep dark thoughts but for me it’s really just things I thought about or did today. As you were talking about journaling on digital I really like good notes 📝 I love putting all my schoolwork crochet and journaling in their

    I always write a journal because I don't have anyone to talk about my problems, but then I realized that you can't trust anyone, but you can trust your journal. The magazine became my good friend with whom I could share my feelings💗💗

    Thank you so much via and this is definitely something I have been accepting because I remember before I used to not journal because I never knew how but then I use to write in my diary but then once I was finished with it I throw it away because I wanted to let it go and then I used my notes app to write my feelings and then I would lock it and don’t go back to it but then I forgot the combination but in the end I remembered it and I was like okay I need a notebook now and that’s been helping a lot more but I have been finding different ways to help me cope with my mental health. 😌 and your videos give me so much comfort and calmness inside and you help me to see what I need or what’s important 💕

    I have this wierd journal method where I created a character. A guy in a cafe. And i imagine myself talking to him while I'm writing in my journal and telling him about my day and he just doesn't answer back. Every time I finish journaling I'm like wow that felt good.

    I started journaling "again" (I had the habit of writing down my feelings and thoughts for basically all my life lol) last december and it has helped a real lot. Sometimes I only write down random things of the day, sometimes I make plans for the week, other times I go on in deep conversations with myself; one way or the other, it helps me detangle the clump of thoughts that I constantly have in my head lol, that sometimes keeps me stuck and anxious.
    Sometimes it's still difficult to be 100% honest with myself whenever I write, but I'm getting there! Just recently I finally did it regarding a specific topic and it's very liberating and, as you said, can help you healing and move forward for the better from there! And it's kind of fun to pick a random entry to read back again (also because I tend to forget things as well lol so it can also be a proof that good things have happened to me that I should keep in consideration when reflecting about my life).

    I love journaling, i love having a record of my life. For me in the beginning it was hard, because i wanted to make it all pretty and organized, but that turned into an obstacle because sometimes you cant write your emotions in a pretty way, you just have to let them out the way they are, messy and difficult.

    I am so traumatized by my early journaling years because I only wrote about negative experiences and expressed my thoughts negatively too. I remember venting and feeling so overwhelmed that I couldn’t write every single thought I had racing around in my mind. So.. coming back to this will be a journey, hopefully a healing one 🥲

    I know that this may be a bit out of context but I like what she said about the moving on. When she got into a fight,she feels guilty but she's choosing to move on from it. I'm actually in a similar situation. It happened before where I got into a verbal fight with someone. It's hard because sometimes the person choses not to forgive you. Like what you did was wrong but that doesn't mean that you should continue living in the past. As long as you're not the same person that you was when dealing with it,you learned from it and apologized that's all you can really do.

    Thanks for making this video lol. I started journaling a few years ago. But I quickly realized that I would only journal when something bad happened or when I was sad. It did actually make me feel wayy better. I think I want to work on writing down happy things in my life so I can look back and smile ✨✨

    whenever i journal (which honestly is rarely but its okaiii) i tend to write like im making a vlog. Like if im in the middle of talking about something, ill randomly start writing about how cold it is where i am, kind of like a vlog where you get off track. i always want to fill up a page (idk why thats just how my brain works, i have to fill the page up) and writing like that helps me not only fill the page but also when i read again one day, its entertaining and not so draining to read.
    i dont know thats how i journal and my journal is completely filled with random bullshit xD

So I found your channel a few days ago, and since then i've been watching your videos like everyday, I am a 15 y. o girl and because I do think we are very similar in some ways (especially when you talk about what you were like at school), the way you're living your life and the person you are today really helps me to image what kind of person I want to be, can I just say I want to be like you when I grow up? Lol
    I did thought about starting journaling in the past but now after I meet you I feel like it's my sign to start it now, so thank you so much for this, for making videos, im sure you know that you help lots and lots of people with your advices. Right now I am very very grateful for finding you and your channel

    I literally cried when you talk about shame about feelings and something we did. I did something bad in the past. Maybe they are not bad but for me these things shouldn’t have been done . Because of these things I cried every fucking day and I didn’t go forward. Then I saw you on RUclips and watched. As if every things got matter in a moment.
