      @wrollan it's honestly quite possible if their prediction is correct... but, it doesn't sound like the best move to me lol

    I have heard two intelligent guys who don't care what anyone else is saying say Joker was a good movie . Maybe didn't like it but that it was a good movie and well made and good art. Even if they themselves didn't like it (like no replay value) . And neither can understand the "a shot at the fans" thing . I think what happen with this movie is a narrative caught on quick and everyone just ran with it . That said I still have no plans on watching either because I don't think I'll like them and I have zero interest in them.

      @jaredbarnes5124 it absolutely wasn't good. Structurally, it's a mess, and I've yet to hear one single good argument for why it should exist. It could have been told in 20min or less, I don't even see how anyone could argue against that. It literally just retells the first film.
      Now, I can get behind the argument that it had quality cinematography and decent performances. But that's legit about the extent of it. As far as "the narrative", it's hard not to see it that way even if that wasn't his intention... oh also, I definitely don't think you would like it at all lol

      I didn’t think Joker 2 was good at all. Yes it’s well made and acted, but the story was terrible.

    I’m not interested in Terrifier, but seeing it wallop Joker 2 is crazy. It’s great to see the fans speaking with their wallets on this one.

      @normie1970 heck yeah that's awesome! glad you dug it. Even with it not being "my type" of feel I feel I would like it more than Joker 2 lol

    As much as I dislike the Terrifier franchise. That’s a great point that this may be a shift in how theaters survive and thrive showing more independent films. I’ve also seen more religious films get better box office numbers. Not something I’m personally running to see but it shows we could get more indie films vs Hollywood and I’m ok with that.

      @GrizEleven right!? My thoughts exactly. This is honestly a good place to be in I think. I the theatre's see success outside of the industry we could see a Massisve creative indie resurgence.

      @@CriticlessCast yeah that's called braindead sheep syndrome. Everyones constantly on their phones that they'd rather listen to youtubers rather than go watch the actual movie. It was good. But coming from people who watched morbius and madam web I dont listen to anyone

      @CriticlessCast  12 дней назад

      @Masterbaiter1000 are you saying that Joker 2 was good? And people who don't like it are braindead sheep? Because I did see that movie... and similar to your opinion of Terrifier 3, it was awful. It is arguably one of the worst movies of the year for me. It definitely was not worth 200 million to make, and has zero point to its existence. A rehash of the first film with no respect for the source material it's based on or the fans that made it possible to make a sequel.

      @@CriticlessCast how was it awful? Joker dies thats it. He was never going to be the REAL joker. Guy was a weirdo. Thats the point. Tell me one bad thing about the movie aside from the singing which wasn't even that bad and I despise musicals. I was saying people who didn't watch it are sheeo but you're right even you're somewhat a sheep since you believe the movie was bad just because it didn't glorify his character which was never meant to be glorified. Thats like no country for old men making a sequel where the hit man dies but before that we get to see his downfall. How hard is that to grasp??

    • @CriticlessCast
      @CriticlessCast  12 дней назад

      @Masterbaiter1000 its not hard to grasp at all. I'm sorry my dislike of a poorly crafted story bothered you so badly. I never said it was bad because it didn't glorify him. You said that, not me. Feel free to go listen/watch my review and hear my issues with it, but none of them had to do with that.
      The movie could have been made in 20 minutes long with what little progress the story actually made. The court case just rehashed the first film. The songs were pointless and half ass for a "musical". "Harley" undermined the characters initiative and growth at every turn... it just simply was not very good, mostly uninteresting, and more than anything, not what the fans were interested in seeing. And clearly not what the vast majority of folks wanted to see or it would not have bombed so hard. It's hilarious to me that people who enjoyed it seem to think they are enlightened or more intelligent somehow. It didn't fail monetarily, critically, or with the audience because it was good lol
