Law's backstory is still the most heart breaking and devastating to me from his early childhood with that disease to joining Doffy and getting an older brother character in Corazon to his death and anything else in between.
OP had never been so dark. Did Oda need to go so in on that? It's the kind of thing that makes you think maybe all of humanity is depraved and irredeemable anymore (but also Doffy's backstory).

Funnily enough, Law's backstory didn't make me cry. I was too impressed with how cool Doflamingo looked.
For me i this backstory is 2nd only to brooks, and Fisher Tigers is close behind in 3rd
