4 Years later after my initial comment and like on this video. I'm still enjoying viewing it over and over to recapture that 80s era when a roll of quarters was all you needed to kick your weekend of total arcade fun off. That was so many rolls of quarters ago that I can't begin count. And, if given a chance I'd spend those rolls of quarters again. Ah, the 80s. I truly miss them.
This is the stuff dreams are made of. Wife and got our house and game room and finally get to start collecting. This is amazing. We have 1 pin and 2 arcades so far but no plans to stop anytime soon. Way to go Doug 🎉🎉🎉🎉
That is an amazing arcade. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and had a lot of good times at the arcade. The mall that I lived closest to had 2 of them operating at the same time. There was also a bowling alley within walking distance that had a respectable sized game room as well, that had Tempest and Iron Man Ivan Stewart's Off Road, a couple of my favorites.THE 80'S WERE AWESOME!
How awesome would it be to have this in your basement. You and your buddies get hammered and play the classics with the badass atmosphere of all the game sound effects. Perfect.
They need to bring back arcades for kids. We used to spend all day at the mall, eat pizza, ice cream, see a movie, hit the arcade... Now kids are cooped up in their house all day and night. We were the last generation to have a real childhood.
Ted S. I fully agree. Man do I miss those days. I have a mini arcade of four Arcade1up machines, with Star Wars arriving in a couple weeks. This is the best I can do. Don't have the money or room for a bunch of full size cabinets, but this does a pretty good job at replicating the arcade feel.
@@jamesdunn8893 Sadly, what has replaced arcades are the Dave&Buster's type places that seem to me to appeal only to squares with nuclear family units. Notice the total lack of games with racy and suggestive themes. You'd never find a Xenon or Pinbot game in today's arcades because of the "suggestive content" possibly offending people. i was born in 91 and holy shit does this look badass. though i have been through loads of arcades in my time, there's nothing like a bunch of machines making retro sound effects.
This was nine minutes of bliss. I worked at two arcades years ago, and it's amazing how I would tune out this madness. I never considered all of this disappearing. Wish we were neighbors!
As soon as you entered the room and I heard that sound, that wonderful, wonderful sound, I felt a little weepy and excited at the same time. I would relish the opportunity to just walk through your arcade. To play a game would be over the top. To spend an evening would be sublime! I am entirely impressed by what you have done here, sir.

One thing I loved about going to an arcade in the 80's - you could always tell what games it had before you walked in the door, just by listening. The game noises back then were so distinct. And you could usually hear them from hundreds of yards away! :-)
way cool...almost all the iconic arcade games are there. The 80's was my decade and video arcades were the social venue..I could almost see shades of the eighties crowd bustling around and playing those machines..well done
THAT'S exactly what it looked like and sounded like being in a REAL arcade room in the 80s😎😎minus sound of change machine spitting put quarters once in a while😆 what a great time it was like back then!
I turned a deep shade of envy green while watching this. Also may have peed a little with excitement at having seen all my favorite games from my childhood being cherished and taken care of, and displayed in the way they were intended. Thank you.
This is the most impressive arcade collection I have seen in a long time. Being an old arcade business owner I must say "don't change a thing". Its nice to see a lot of these classics are safe. I have 15 cabs, pinball, jukebox, and dartboard myself and while I get a ton of compliments when people stop by, I got nothing on your setup. Be proud of what you have there. I envy few people, but you made my list. ;)

The Arcades that I grew up at used that style change machine. When I decided to add a change machine, I wanted that one because it's what I remember using back in the early 80's and because I could rig it to dispense tokens by just pushing in the dollar bill slot. Cool part is I bought this machine in the 2000's and it was located at the High School I went to in the 80's.

Thanks for posting this, I have so many great memories of the arcades from when I was a kid so this was an awesome video. For a few moments the sights and sounds pulled me back into being a kid again and it felt fantastic.
Oh yea, It had Baseball Stars in it alot to. On my base in the mid nineties it was one of the few arcade machines they had. One game I remember well is Crossed Swords. Excellent and fun game to pass time on.
You have a token machine? You are my freaking Hero! Thanks for posting this, It's the best RUclips video I've seen so far!
This is an outstanding collection. Your choice of 80's vids is amazing. Only one missing from my dream list would be Wizard of Wor. Your choice of 80's pinballs are the best. Blackout right next to Black Knight and Firepower. Great job!!!
Very nice indeed ! The pinballs I got are, Dealers Choice, Sound Stage, Gorgar, Pinbot, & Bay Watch, a Chicago coin shuffle bowling, 2 NSM jukeboxes, Bomb Jack, Altered Beast & just sold my Turbo Outrun & got a Phoenix. The few games I had in the 80s that I sold were Space Ace couldn't repair laser disk player when it broke, Even went to the place where they made them in San Diego area, & Space Fury, I'm in middle Ga now.
you have one of the most impressive home arcade rooms i have ever seen, actually it's probably the best. I spent a lot of quaters on some of those games back in the day lol.5/5
Back in 80's the orginal Pioneer PR-7820 laser player was the problem. Later the Pioneer LD-1000 player was used to solve most break down problems. I havent had much problems with the laser disk machines. The Space Ace is still running the Pioneer LD-V1000 laser player. The Dragons Lair had a broken Pioneer PR-7820 laser player when I bought it. I updated the machine to use a Sony laser player from the 90's. This made the game track very fast and play better than ever.

Thanks for posting this, I have so many great memories of the arcades from when I was a kid so this was an awesome video. For a few moments the sights and sounds pulled me back into being a kid again and it felt fantastic.
Both Donkey Kong AND Donkey Kong Junior?! Wow!
Oh yea, It had Baseball Stars in it alot to. On my base in the mid nineties it was one of the few arcade machines they had. One game I remember well is Crossed Swords. Excellent and fun game to pass time on.
I bow to your superb collection. Several caught my eye, but I think Space Ace, Dragon's Lair, Kick Man, and Mouse Trap has me going nuts the most.
That's a wicked setup!
You have a token machine? You are my freaking Hero! It's hard to collect all the classics like Dig Dug, Paper Boy, Burger Time, The Popeye Game, Double Dragon, Joust, the Journey Game would've been awesome and there's others of course but you have all the best in your collection.
Omg. "Kickman". It's been forever since I've seen one of those. You've got a hell of a collection, man. Thanks for the tour.
I like heaps. Takes me back to my youth when i cut class to go play at the arcade
This is fabulous ! So much wonderful games. I wish I was your neighbor !
WOW! There is a heaven! And it has a Hyperball, too! Great job!
Wow, awesome awesome arcade room...love all the sounds of the games! Only full sized arcade games I own are Mortal Kombat 1 and 2. Very cool video!
The man cave of my dreams.
