Outstanding video James. Those narrow gauge locomotives have a character all their own, and a beautiful sound. We are so lucky to have this in Victoria.

I am an American who lived in Melbourne in 1955,56,57. My dad took me to ride the Puffing Billy and I have never forgotten it. I still love trains today.

Was certainly a great day to take photos and video with the cool and sunny morning, but hardly any wind.
The train itself looked great too with 8A hauling a nice mixed consist.

Fantastic video, those shots up by Cockatoo and Fielder look like they were pulled right out of the late 1920s, glad to see you out there, James
This is probably my favourite PBR video, thanks for uploading!

I love that the only reflective or OH&S clothing visible was on the bloke digging holes in his own backyard! Puffing Billy, the only sanctuary from the Nanny State, where kids of all ages can hang off the side of a moving train and no-one cares...or dies! (And I know the train crew were all wearing steel capped boots and overalls. Just nothing reflective.)

Llevo tiempo viendo los videos que mandas, son extraordinarios, lo único que, como no sé el inglés, me arreglo con el traductor. Muchas gracias.

The tonality of the whistle is A# [a-sharp]. A true locomotive sound.
