I think a few things… 1 - getting into a rivalry with the NFL/supporting the patriots skyrocketed barstool. That was their identity for a while. Having Tennessee athletic department hate you isn’t going to do anything besides get you less access 2- They never had a good relationship with the NFL prior to that 3- The NFL is 100x the size of the Tennessee athletic department. It’s different to go at the big guy hs the small guy. Makes for much funnier content handcuffing yourself in NFL HQ
