Nice that you picked this early era concert. That is actually my all time favorite also because it represents NW at its original stage when they actually made their move and guitar work shines. Naturally this show is minor to the huge stadium gigs but it is so genuine that later they hardly have done the same. One can see how Emppu and Tarja contact many times and they have fun together. Some of these songs are still the best live ones in this concert. Do next beginning era 1994...1999 videos...they look even younger like children and boys have short hairs.
Loved your reaction :) You really did seem to feel like you were there. And I've seen more of your videos... You truly love music: The way you pay attention and appreciate the overall experience from the sound is; it's clear to spot from you genuine expressions. I'll admit, I'm here for the Nile videos first :) I hope more similar bands will follow :) But going back to Nightwish, for me and others these were the years the band was truly unique. When Tarja was something special, that made NW sound like "Therion plus"... It still had a Gothic element to it.
Glad you're enjoying the videos 😊 Hopefully we'll be listening to more Nile soon, I love them! But it's up to Natalia 😆 What other bands similar to Nile would you recommend?
@@neonskepetunije Bless you :) Oh when it comes to Technical death metal, there are plenty. Cryptopsy perhaps...? :) I guess for them, the introductory go to song would be "Phobophile". But in general, after seeing how much you enjoyed Nile, I believe you will love many more bands from the "extreme"/"darker"/etc' genres/styles. So there can be endless possibilities... But for a band I think you both will enjoy, I would suggest Draconian, with the song "Staller Tombs". It's melodic doom/death, beautiful female vocals included.
in 2002 I heard about Nightwish for the first time, I found it interesting and I became a faithful listener. Rock with Opera, Nightwish was the perfect combination. Nightwish complicated their lives by eliminating Tarja (in my opinion). It was never Nightwish feat Tarja was Nightwish, after Tarja was eliminated from the group, the boys changed their strategy and added "feat" Anette , feat Floor. Now Nightwish is on the wave again with Floor, but it's not the same music anymore. A lot of RESPECT for Tarja, she made a great contribution with 5 albums, they also released 4 albums that contain many songs that they sang with Tarja, it seems that their imagination also went with this woman. Don't throw stones! I like Tarja more because she has a dark voice that puts you in a world of fantasy and imagination.
This concert was in December 2000. And when you remember that the band was formed in 1996, but the actual activity, the first album as well as the concerts were in 1997. This is really good compared to that, - is still very early in their journey ... Sure, by this point they had already released 3 studio albums. Really good concert overall. I like it. Congratulations 3k. A great thing!
Oh Ladies, this was more i would ever suggesting - you left me as a "happy meal" 😃 To me Tarja became both with this concert - a vamp and a vampyr 🕵️♀️ @Deyana Please fangirl as much as you possibly can 💖
Great reaction girls, I'm waiting for the second part. songs like Walking in the Air and Sacrament of Wildernes are great in this second part of the Show. About the comments that Emppu does not deliver what is expected of a Guitarist. Well I believe it is because over the years Nightwish has evolved its sound, with more orchestra and more keyboard, this makes it less present on the guitar. Emppu has a great presence on the stage, this is undeniable. So there is a mistake by critics with Emppu, even Nightwish is a symphonic metal band. This is my opinion. Hugs from Brazil.
Just as Emppu should over play more, you girls should post more - you're my favourite reactors without doubt - have you done a full Buenos Aires reaction yet? 🤘
Congrats to the 3k, and i'm a humble one of them 😔. Do you remember, when i at first (almost a year ago) called you Russians, you beautiful Serbian girls 💕👭. Our moose hunting season ended yesterday so I have a little more time for the longuish videos. It was a really joy to watch this concert at the first time with you. I'm a big Floor fan ("lattiatuuletin" in Finnish) but Tarja is so precious in Nightwish's quite a long successful history (but a little bit too dark operatic voice for me). The venue is Pakkahuone Tampere, Finland. The prerecorded guest voice in "The Kinslayer" is Ike Vil and on stage in "Pharaoh sails to Orion" mr Tapio Wilska. The bassist before Marko was Sami Vänska, who did it very well there. Young Jukka was great there as always. Some of these songs you will find in the Decades dvd/bluray with Floor and Marko involved (highly recommended for all the people in the world). Tuomas has developed from the beer to the "Nightwish" custom label red wine 😅. I drink the dry Vodka all the time 😵. Sorry about all this jabbering. Best of wishes and Good Night(wish)! 🎊🎉🌹
Thank you ladies, and congratulations for your 3K. It's always nice to get back to roots, and watch these old performances. While I love new Nightwish, I will always miss these times, following their journey, waiting their next album etc. Can't believe it has been so long already. As a guitarist myself, I agree with you, Emppu should be "overplaying" more often. He is very good guitarist, and now it seems that he doesn't even care if people know that or not. I mean, most of NW fans of course "knows" that, but unfortunately most of them don't have ability to evaluate which is hard to play and which isn't. They just love the sound. Emppu should go little bit over the top every once in a while, to make their guitar playing fans happy.
No one will use it, but maybe someone will be interested.

I never heard Nightwish before, I can hear the America influences which is awesome. Thanks again ladies, I love you all! ❤️
Thank you sooooo much for 3,000 subscribers! Can't believe we're already at 3k. That's absolutely crazy, thank you guys. We love you all ❤️

The growling vocalist is Tapio Wilska, who used to sing for Finntroll and was in a band with Tuomas before Nightwish
Nattfödd was the only full length he was on. Great album
@@brendo9672 It is, although he was actually my least favorite vocalist of theirs. Vreth is simply amazing.
@@Rose-From-the-Dead Katla, Wilska, Vreth for me but Vreth's performance on last album is amazing
@@brendo9672 That's funny. I Thought his vocals on Ur Jordens Djup were the best.
@@Rose-From-the-Dead I was dissapointed with that album until recently relistening to it haha

Aww, thank you! We haven't done the Buenos Aires show yet, we're going in chronological order.
Although I like "symphonic" Nightwish, "power" Nightwish is their best era. Of course, that's just my opinion.
Nice to see people appreciating Empuu’s talent.
I’ve seen other videos where Tarja interact with the rest of the band. But Empuu was the one she was closest to. Apparently.
