Here's info that some still aren't aware of:
❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!!
JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals.
JIMIN has now won the prestigious titles for 3 yrs in a row, for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, also 3 yrs in a row!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! Aside from all that Jimin has won other countless award, broken many records. His 5 solos have broken charting records worldwide, as well as being top seller, plus most listened to. Also breaking records for being #1 branding marketing idol, every single month for now, 3 yrs, a feat never achieved before, and still ongoing! YES! Honestly, a lot of this should be in an introduction video of the members! I always find the introduction for Jimin lacking and it's really frustrating to me. In one of them, it even says "he trained for many years before becoming an idol." and though the creator told me it wasn't meant about his trainee period, it really does come off that way. And they never mention that he had no singing experience before joining Big Hit! I really feel like they're trying to downplay how good he is.
Also, in an interview (I wish I still knew which one... it's the interview where he said he was only a trainee for 6 months, maybe you know which one I'm talking about), he said that there were 8 times he got close to being fired while he was a trainee. Which is why he put in so much hard work, barely being able to sleep for a couple of hours often.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge about our angel. Among other members Jimin’s introduction is short and underrated that’s why I started searching and watching every life story of his from past to present which are remarkable, admirable and all the superlative words that we can think of… our Mochi is also very intelligent (although doesn’t showed on RUN BTS most of the time) but reality is Jimin is academically high achievers and can tell the way he spoke, he’s perception in life, he’s principle, he’s anecdotes, he’s way of thinking and more isn’t normal. Jimin portrays cuteness, sexiness and loveliest but deep down under he’s very shy, humble, selfless, romantic ( most of the time mistakingly quoted as self-centred, flirt or misinterpreted of something else) and had the best wholesome personality that most of the time Jimin forgot to look after himself before others… he’s always worried about the members and what he can do to the group that’s one of the reason why Jimin pushes himself to the limit aside from he’s love and passion for singing, dancing, performing and foremost he’s unconditional love and respect for ARMY/FANS. Jimin as far as I remember never failed to appreciate and say “ THANK YOU ARMY” or “BOW” to everyone… these thing’s showed that Jimin is extra special and no ordinary human being but doesn’t mean he’s not bound to make mistakes for we all do. Jimin take good care and guaranteed to “LOVE YOURSELF’ and surely”Hakuna Matata”.
