I know Im asking randomly but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Aidan Riley Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great playing and a great demo!!!!!!!! The more I hear the C4 the more I'm leaning toward getting one!!! Sounds waaaaay bigger than its size!!! Since the BP 800 generates AT LEAST(according to the manual) 500 W RMS at 8 ohms, that means that the C4 can handle more than 400 W RMS! Very impressive design and engineering!
I think the most surprising thing here was how much the head brought the best out of that Gibson EB-3. Wouldn't have guessed that a super hi-fi amplifier would work so well with a mudbucker but man, that was a great combo.
I just sold my Ampeg SVT Pro-8 and SVT 810E Heritage setup, and for the price I got I bought the BP800, one C8 and one c4 cab. I´m blown away by the articulation this setup produces. When I went to the rehearsals with it yesterday and was interested in hearing if it could match my old gear just a little volume vise. I turned the volume up to a litlle over half and dust fell down from the ceiling :-D It is LOUD and clear as glass. Every note is well articulated and the only caveat is, that I might be forced to focus more on my own abilities to make this monster shine. And I could carry my bass on the back, the C8 behind me on wheels and the C4 and a bag with the amp in the other hand. It´s fantastic in every way!
Chris, that was probably the BEST amp demo video I have ever seen! I am a subscriber now and I will check out your other vids and possibly do the Patreon thing! Excellent work and kudos to all the fine bassists who contributed! Might by a Phil Jones amp because of this vid!
I just picked up the PJB Double 4 to use for practice at home. Incredible tone from such a small package. Looking forward to trying out more of his equipment. Great review as always. Thank you
@@ineedsomebass 3 years later but for what it's worth, they may have meant to link the other videos from that show, which show the bass played along with the full 3 piece. Even on crappy phone audio the bass comes through really well to my ears. ruclips.net/p/PLxljmD1sCRl00yRrsgYhBszMlVboFLXun&si=h9B56w_-s3KFu9X_
That 4 string, JJ passive, Warwick Corvette's upbeat funk fingerstyle part had the most amazing tone, IMHO. Overall my favorite tone from this head! Overall very punchy mids, and a nice warm clear high-end, and tight and fat bottom end response. Pretty much PERFECT tone from any class D amp I've heard thus far!!!
Hah! That demo with the Schecter C5 bass playing the bassline to White Zombie's "Black Sunshine" was pretty sweet! Pretty sure Sean Yseult used a pick (and some grit) in the recording, though! ;-)
so, great vid and channel...But you've got one of the only bass cabs on the market capable of producing the 31Hz of the low B...and not once did you let us hear it in this video. It would have been very helpful, since that tone is the crux of determining whether I spend the money for this exact setup or go with a lower cost amp/cab just to save money.
Cool Video. Can we request a video of some Ampeg SVT amps? I know they are dinosaurs but they are still my favorite and it would be good to compare between all the other stuff you have reviewed. Also interested in the Gallien Krueger legacy series but there is not a lot of reviews out there for them yet.
HaHa! Love the funky car crash faces as they are digging the groove and enjoying gettin down to business. Having that happen across so many diverse styles of bass players and playing. I think that tells any savvy prospective purchaser all they need to know. Super clean & intelligently bass oriented eq with gobs of super clean headroom ROCKS.
Never any 5 string low B love ... sad panda Well looking through it again I belive Nick hits close to it one time at 5:00, soo close 😣 Could it be the EV RE320? Which is about 10 dB down at 30 Hz low B.
When demonstrating equipment eq should be flat on the amp, and also any active basses. Especially all of the microphone demos mean nothing with that much eq dialed in. We can never know what kind of post processing is going on in a DAW before it goes over the internet. But he is not even trying to show flat response through the amp.
Until I play it I cannot say. I have a nice 850 watt into 4 ohm QSC power amp that weighs a ton but sounds great with my Ampeg tube pre. They are straight out of the 80s but that's modern gear to me. I'm not so enamoured by the class D craze. The Bergantino Forte 1200 seems interesting though.
To put it quickly, just hitting Subscribe doesn’t necessarily mean RUclips will notify you of that channel’s new videos. It basically signals that one might potentially be interested in seeing similar content in the future. If you’re actually a fan of this channel (or any channel) ringing the notification bell will notify you when new videos are released.
Can you give an honest opinion ....... if you were to play this setup (amp & cab) in a alt/rock band that's a bit bass heavy ...will it get killed in a live setting ...to tell you the truth I live in area where i can not demo this setup and really like the idea of how small the cabs. i'm guessing most sounds on this video is all DI'ed
A sponsored demo? Felt like a commercial. Production was great! Perhaps too many tests, too long altogether. Your attitude is awesome! If you're pushing the commercial thing you're doing great! Good luck.
I don’t know if I’d call it a commercial. We’re just trying to inform people of cool gear that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to hear. Other than for being a bit longer, this isn’t much different in formula than any of our other demo videos.
Phil Jones make great stuff. I actually really like that you have several people with very different playstyles using it. Great idea.

I've always liked the idea of Phil Jones cabs. Just never been sure how they would work in a rock band.... I always see them being used on Jazz gigs.

This shows a guy SOLOING. It does NOT show what the rig can do in a FULL BAND context.

Sounds good, also like the slightly unusual looking knobs!
Love Wills jam on the Warwick , Phil Jones amp sounds awesome!
PJB is the best bass gear on the market.
Nobody mentioned if they liked it or not. Personally I think these guys would sound good on most any amp.
Awesome tone from 3:51 - 4:26 Is that a Warwick being played in that section? Which model?
Gunna steal a couple of Wills licks from that first Warwick jam ! Tell him to do it with tabs ! Dont need em but would be faster !

What do you mean ? Homeboy at 12:30 is playing low B , did you even watch the video ?
@@aplusimagery5271 he is muting the b string constantly with his thumb and never plays it once. did you even watch the video?
4:36

That amp is really good. . How you adjust the ohms?
Now that is how you do a review, Bravo.

It has alotta high end attack imo
Looks sleek too but not as sleek at my Darkglass 500 lol

Do you think the Orange Butler can be run on a Phil Jones C2 or C4?
very good work Chris

Nice work, never really considered this head, but it's tight!
So i was wondering where will has been , apparently working on his chops ! Fantastic playing will ! You an josh should have a bass off !
It sounds great, I also wonder how it would sound in a rock band...
HOW MUCH?
Yeah right??!?!?
Will throwin' some funk !!!

If you’re playing anything heavy, forget using PJB gear. It’s not built for that-at least, the cabinets aren’t.
Try the
EICH T900 with the Gibson SG bass, georgeous

Is that just one C4 plugged into the amp? That seems imbalanced.
Awesome, reliable and made-in-China!
